This is DVD quality and COMPLETE
why oh why is is still in .rar format?
this is not irc.. there's no max file size
bittorrent gives you the ability to share in ANY format you so desire.. so why?
just for efficiency's sake
uploader time to unrar= 1 minute
20,000 peers time to unrar=14 days
+ it is necessary to write twice to the hard drive
just seems like an inconsiderate manoeuvre.
anyway.. excuse my rant about rar.
movie AOK
(rar got me so peeved, i posted this to the wrong torrent before.)
ok.. also, there is no password on this file, unless the rar i just apt-ed has super cow powers...

There's no password, and I didn't even notice it was a rar file - it's just a directory to me (no .rar at the end)... wonder if it's a quirk of vista or summit.
Yup, downloaded it, it's 100% good :-)

Perfect quality!! Thanks very much!!!

The reason for the separate .rar files in releases is due to the fact that to my knowledge most things ripped and released are still done by newsgroups and IRC. BT is for us newbs ^_^

IRC doesnt have file size limits lol..
Release scene rules dictate release standards (file size, rar size depending on what kind of release, etc)
The seeder just seeded it as they got it.. Scene rules gives us the quality control over the releases
Theres many reasons to keep it in rars still, for instance... if you download it all, and theres a damaged section to the files, the whole thing isnt bust, just find/redownload the broken section (rar of 15mb or 50mb) vs the whole movie (700mb or more).
Cant wait to see this movie

Hey movie fans! Check out this guy over at TorrentBox - I've downloaded 6 or 7 of his films and everyone is top notch (Axxo/FXM quality)

Enjoy

No, there isn't a reason to use RAR on bittorrent. BT already has error correction/detection. The sites admins even recommend against using RAR/ZIP/etc because it makes seeding more inconvenient. People would rather not waste the space on their drives. I don't have space for 2 copies, so I will be unable to seed.

How do I watch it. It's just a mess of .rars
15.Posted by donegalcatch on Nov 29 2007 at 15:54
Oh, wait. I just used winrar. Sorry 'bout that. Seeding time!

great job, wonderful quality. although i cant seed, i dont have enough room for all the files on my hdd. sorry everyone, thats why we shouldnt upload rars.

U will be lucky if all this rar files after that will work correctly/// coz it is packed with mistakes.Dont play with destiny and do not download this one. Quality is good but each 10 minutes it will shut off your VCL player((( Aniway it is up to you to do it or not. I delited it from my lap. I think it is BAD idea to do it this way (with so many rar files)

can anyone help me?...
This file works fine on a comp. But when I try to play it on my PS3 it sais unsupported data. All of the movies that are on my PS3 are AVI files. 4 of them work and 3 of them say unsupported data.

Thanks for actual useful comment Maskaradore. Sad I couldn't say the same for most of the rest of 'em here on this pg.

It looks like all the files are there, but all I got was either a 2 second green screen (quicktime) or an ad for DivX (DivX) player.

Bittorrent 'splits' the file into small chunks with CRC by default - better than raring. If you got bad chunk from any of the peers your torrent client will redownload it from another peer automatically (and it is way smaller than 15MB RAR - usually between 256kb and 2Mb only). Thats how torrent works , and it means THERE IS NO NEED FOR ANY RARs.
Only stupid uploaders share RARs, thats all.

I downloaded this and extracted it all fine, but the resulting avi only goes for 3 seconds. What am I doing wrong?
28.Posted by xenedar on Mar 31 2008 at 21:03
RARs are for l33t k1dd13s and their l33t "scene".
Also used for spams, scams, viruses and fakes.
RARs need to be boycotted.

Actually, it is still entirely possible you can end up with a bad or corrupt file. It could just be locally on your HDD, who knows. But the difference between having to re-download the entire movie or one rar file is huge for some on slower connections.
Un-raring a file this size should take a matter of seconds or minutes. Not fast enough? Go outside and leave your PC, it'll do you good. HDD can't possibly hold both the rar files and the movie? Burn the movie to a disk, get another HDD or just clear off some of your ****.
Worried about viruses? Scan it then. For goodness sake, this isn't rocket science here.
Geez you people whine a lot about the stuff you are getting for free. Or more to the point: stealing. Just accept it for what it is.
On a side note, thanks to the uploader. Kudos
V:10
A:9.5
Movie itself: 10 (its Futurama, baby!)

GREETINGS FROM CROATIA!!!

Only thing I have against rar is (apart from that it's completely unnecessary), it may be password protected. You may spend I don't know how long downloading, only to find you can't open it.
No wait another thing: if one of the packages has an error, most players can still play 99% of an AVI, but winrar won't open a rar with 1 error.
