I have just downloaded this and have no idea how to run it I downloaded the emulator but then have no idea what to do. (can't even find the bio file). Can some one please guide me. Thx

I've downloaded it, and I'm already done playing the first 2 cds. I have also made quite a progress in the third cd, no problems so far.

This will be for those who don't know what to do with this game!

1.Download game!
2.Open folder and extract 1st CD! (for that you of corse need WinRAR) >-)
3.Download epsxe with all plugins and configure it!
4.Run epsxe - file - run iso - open FF9 iso and enjoy the game!

Simply as can be! If you don't get it then I can't help more!

P.S - this game is relly cool and have very interesting story!

cheers i have been looking for this game for ages
to any one with problems with this is how i got it to work
download pSX
open with winrar or 7zip
download scph1001 put it in the bios file in pSX
open imagefile with psx
enjoy

has anyone tried to play this on a modded US PSX?

I just tried it out this morning, and the game loads, and plays, but all of the cutscene's are terrible, theyre choppy, the sound is sometimes broken, and the game even hangs. THis was on CD1, i got as far as the 3rd scene (when you get into the castle) and had to turn it off because the scene was so terribly lagged and choppy.

Might this just be a bad burn? It downloaded, unzipped with winrar, and burned with Nero 7.

Thanks for the Up, the game seems playable, but i'd be a lot better if i could enjoy the cutscenes.

bad burn, u can burn img files with nero use clonecd or imgburn. works fine and it isnt kalisto ripTHX

Ive seen other people post it but i havent seen a response, when i do battle the combat screen ( Attack, Items, Magic, Etc.) doesnt show up all it shows it the arrow pointing at the selected character and if i press the X button it plays as if i selected the first option on the list but doesnt show any options.
Can someone lend me a hand? Thanks.

that happened to me unisoldier when i tweaked the video plugin settings,the game is freezing up on me when cgi starts when they board the airship for alexandria.if somebody finds a way around this,pleaze post here.

playing on epsxe 1.52 will get u past airship fmv crash on disc 1. just copy all memcard files and plugins from epsxe 1.6 to 1.52 directory

To you people stuck with controls :

1.Make sure you have downloaded a copy of ePSXe
2.Open it as normal
3.Go into: config- game pad- pad 1
4.Edit them to what ever you want! EASY!

if it still doesn't work, i suggest asking the ePSXe creator on his email.
go to his website to find it

To save a game

open epsxe (im assuming you have it)
you have to save state on the emulator NOT FINAL FANTASY
when you get game over or want to revert to a previous part of the game, just load the state! easy as pie (how pie can be easy i'll never know XD)

Hey, thanks for the upload, haven't tried to play this yet, but just want to say that for me, the CD3 .img file was corrupt. The .cue, .ccd, and .sub files were ok for CD3 and all other disks but the .img file could not be extracted. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Thanks!

you dont have to save state with epsxe. just create a memcard file in config wizard and save to that.

BTW my cd3 wasnt corrupt. Cloudblade, try extrtacting again with a different program or download another img file from a rom site(like rombomb).i completed the entire game on epsxe with no problems.

ALSO epsxe 1.7 has just been released so i reccommend people try ffix on that.

Hi,

I've got it now and it's running great (thanks a lot for uploading it) however-- when I extracted all the winrar files, I wound up with eight (I think) files, which my emulator uses, piece by piece, to play the game.

My question: when I have to go to the next file in order to keep playing, how will the emulator/game recognize my quicksave? My emulator has no memory card (of course), so it shows up blacked out- so I use the quicksave option near 'file'.

yo guys if someone can help me with this it would be much appreciated
i successfully got all the set-up in around 10 minutes for epsxe and i got this iso fast too so ive been messing with this for about a day.on the cutscene on the airship right after dali village(black waltz 2) the scene freezes and pixelates into like a billion colored squares.it might just be i have to reconfigure some of my stuff.if anyone knows of a solution, please let me know....either post it or send to daistheputridone@cox.net

Hi, I had that problem once too. Only way I found to pass over that part was to go straight to the airship as soon as you get the option, if you wait and go later you won't be able to pass that part of the game (that was my xp)

all the other final fantasy games ive ever tried to get have always frozen in places or have a point where it just stops and you cant continue
so its a welcome change to have a good ff game that works

does anyone know why ff7 freezes when you get to the first battle?
i downloaded it and got this problem then burnt it off the disc and got the same problem

epsxe 1.7 might be better. i havent tried it yet.
epsxe 1.52 works flawlessly with ffix so that would be the safest bet.

DONT download epsxe, instead download PSXFIN. its easier to use with no stupid configuration, excellent game compatabilty and the games run perfectly. it is old but much more advanced and they are workin on a ps2 emulator which should be easier to use and much faster.
