dont rename folder, extract to... any drive like c: d: e: or whatever, once extracted you follow the descrioptions, read them carefuly, this game saves and loads to save-games, i have tested this like ... before i have uploaded this... and then you look on post 29, people are playing well as it seems so.

Hi. This game is working great. But for some reason when i save the game...it doesn't actually save. I'll turn it off and when i come back there is no game saved for me to play. this s ucks cause I played for like 4 hours last night and will have to do it over bleh. okay, im really having fun with this game right now, and not i face the problem at jekk' jekk' tarr tunnel. after i killed visquis, and couple movies goes by, then it supposed to show up to ur character, but it freezes me and kick me out of the game.

I also have the swkotor2.exe stopped working error... Got the game to run once, but then it crashed as the first movie started.
I've tried running it as admin and in compatibility with XP (running Vista), but still same problem.

Hi TOED and thanks for the great work, man i downloaded a few of your and dopemans games and they were always great and working fine but i have a problem with this one, its the same problem as some of the others had with the game starting fine till the opening movie and then it crashes, im runing it on my laptop with vista home basic, pentium dual core 1.66ghz, 1014mb RAM, intel 945 expres chipset family and more then 25gb of space, i know its not the best piece of hardwear, but when the geme starts and i can make my character i believe there shouldnt be a problem to run the game, i tryed almost everything but it vont work. any help would be great thnx.

i guess this could help some of you with the sound problem: go to filefront.com and search for Mss32.dll(its version 3.0.0.0.) then download the file and replace the old one (6.6.7.0.) with the one yuo downloaded. on some sw forums people say it helped.

For those with the Vista problem (with swkotor.exe has stopped working) replace the Mss32.dll in the SWKotOR2 folder with the one from this site ********************nt.com/Mss32dll/;6695046;/fileinfo.html. I recommend you save the old Mss32.dll elsewhere just in case. This worked for me. Hope this helps. One thing I'd like to know though is why this old game is using 100% of both my cores. Flamin crazy

if u have some troubles playing this game, try to set ur affinity to just 1 core if u have dual core cpu's, u can do this at the task manager.. hope it helps though..

Erm...I have done everything that is in the read me. But when I try to play the Game The pixils are off and the "new game, load game ect." are just erm.. how do I describe this...squished together to where it is not legible. Thnks game works wicked had no probs.no save or load probs cheats work aswell (gamespot.com 4 cheats )had 2 download display drivers then all sweet.++++++++++++my comp is old p3 700mhz, 384mb ram, nvidia geforce fx 5700ve 256mb, os-xp pro sp2. copyed version with patch.

I think I got it, Im not sure but I think I fixed it, atleast for now. Still things run slow and choppy in smoke enviroments though. I hope to find a solid fix for it before I get to far into the game.

Yeah. I was having the same problem some other people before me were having. Its the "game has stopped working" right after I create a character and the opening credit movie shows.
I looked at the posts yet noone has seemed to find a solution. And I was wondering, do you know of any way I could fix this problem?

Let me just say that as long as the game actually works...Unlike the KOTOR 1 that I downloaded a couple of years ago, then my computer is more tha qualified to play it. I just want to know if there are any special preparations that need to be made before i can run the game.

got a problem trying to start, followed your basic install instructions and when i hit the launcher i get "Exo Base Window: Swkotor2.exe - bad image, the application or DLL C:\WINDOWS\system32\nvoglnt.dll is not a valid windows image. please check this against your installation diskette" can anyone help?

I replaced the nvoglnt.dll file with an older nvidia file and it seems to get me further, but now i get has encountered a problem and needs to close.

I extracted the _StarWars.exe file. I extracted the _launcher.exe. I double-clicked _launcher.exe to start the game. It just extracts again. What dod I do after extraction of _launcer.exe?

after you extract the files to a new folder (on your desktop) you have to go to _Starwars1st i just creates a reg item, then you should be able to click the launcher. im not sure if this helps djking99.

It worked, thanks for that BUT when after did StarsWars1st and put in the registry (successful), I double-clicked the launcher. It said " The game does not seem to be properly installed. Please restore the installation or reinstall the game." What did I do wrong, iackis?

i would just try to find an iso file, i couldnt get TOED stuff to work. After 2 days no help finally got it working and now no sound. So im done with direct play its a pain in my butt. DL power iso and Kotor 2 files and find yourself a crack. easiest way...

It worked fine for me except for one thing. For some reason it won't let me exit combat after I've destroyed all the enemies - and am thus unable to move or interact with objects.
It is possible to save / reload to get out of the movement lock - but it is a) very annoying to do so after every single combat situation in the game and b)the enemy's corpses dissapear - making it impossible to loot them.
There doesn't seem to be anyone else with this problem - I'm guessing I'm in the minority...

I've been replaying this game for 3 times without sound for some reason when you're using windows vista, you have to disable the sound/movies for the game to run. So i came across this web :

downloaded the file, and woot it works! 
for you guys using vista, download the file, just follow the instructions in the notepad and voila!!

Alright, the game works perfectly except for a few crashes, but I can deal with those. There's only one problem that I have
I seem to be having the same issue as #44. I killed Visquis, and cheered myself on and then after the conversation and a movie, it errors and crashes.
After getting this far, it makes me mad >:[
Any solutions??

@#44) If you try to move after the movies, it'll error and quit. I also saved right before the next movie started, right as I gained control of Atton for a few moments. Not sure if it'll help, but it solved it for me.
@Toed) I'd like to request Kotor 1 for direct play if you don't mind, sir?

For random crashes to the desktop, what worked for me was:
-go to SWKotOR2 directory
-Open swkotor***i in notepad
-under [Graphics Options] add in a new line at the bottom:
Disable Vertex Buffer Objects=1
-save file

I've downloaded and used winRAR to extract the file. I opened the _StarWars1st.exe then opened the launcher. The menu comes up but there are no words, and the main title flickers on and off the screen. People are saying they added ToeD to the registry but I don't know how to do that. And a popup came up saying it couldn't be added to the registry. Does anybody know what I can do?? By the way I installed it not in the default path if that makes a difference.

Awesome no-install game again ToED!!
But i have a problem. It works for me until i get to a certain town. Then it crashes during loading screen. Im about 10 hours in. Oderon Space Port. Crashes when i enter merchant quater.
Any ideas?
