@ Avenger101
AVI = Audio Video Interleave
So yes, video and sound, if you can only see one, play the file in VLC player

If you want to burn it to dvd, you need to have the correct codecs installed.

Maybe use google rather than waiting here for an answer,or you'll get a much faster answer in our forum

Me again, I have installed the Player and the Codecs to make the download work.It plays on my player, even on my windows player on my pc now. I downloaded this file to a DVD using Nero and it will not open on my DVD player and every other AVI file works fine on this same player.Its an up to date player has Divix and most all the bells and whistles. But I can not get the Highwayman Disc to open and play on my DVD player. Please do try to give me some other advice .If you can help I would sure appreciate it.

This file is not compatible with standalone divx players. You must either convert it to a normal avi file with Winavi or convert it to a Dvd file using Winavi or convertx. You could also convert it with Virtualdub which is a free program. To make the file compatible with divx players, you should re-process it in home theatre mode (H263). I personally used Winavi to reprocess it to a normal avi file and this works fine. There is plenty of info. available on the internet if you Google it.

I got sound on Media Player and video on GOM. Could it be the codec for sound is MP 4? Happened once, solution was to burn a copy with Nero Vision.
