Need some help here. Whaen I try to patch SF9 in my prog file, this message pops up; "An error occured while patching the file"

Can anyone help out? Pleeease!

Also, what do you do after you select "Activation from another computer"

when you get the error "An error occured while patching the file", it usually means you are running the program while trying to patch. patch it, THEN run & reg

If you run this on Vista, right-click the Patch exe and select Run As Administrator. Files under Program Files can't be written to unless you Run As Administrator

try this it might work better

Just downloaded this and installed it and cracked it, no problems what so ever.. and I'm usually stupid at this stuff!!

Download torrent.

Install soundforge.exe

(You may be told that the software requires windows service pack 1 and another similar thing from microsoft.. when asked to launch to browser to download these select "YES". Once both installed you will be required to restart you computer. Let it do it automatically.)

Re-install soundforge80b.exe - Overwrite existing files (yes to all)

Launch Sony Sound Forge

When asked for a serial key, launch the S&S keygen that was downloaded in the torrent.
Now, on the drop down list on the top and select Sony Sound Forge 9, otherwise you'll never get it to crack!
Generate a serial key and paste it in. (might t ake a couple of attempts)

SORTED!

DO NOT ALLOW IT TO CONNECT TO THE INTERNET! Otherwise you may lose it as sony might block it.

I've got some problems here. I downloaded sf9 and then tried to patch it but the message "An error occured while patching the file" came up. So i tried going threw the registration process and all but none of the serial numbers were valid. Please help !!!!

It works just fine. Thanks for the up.

If you're stuck..

Install SF. Do not open it yet.

Run the Keygen. Click PATCH and surf to Sony SF directory. Click OK.

You get a message "Successfully patched"

Keep keygen open

Run SF

Copy / paste serial

Select Register from another machine

Fill in some name and address blah blah

Save the Sony reg URL link somewhere. You'll never use it anyway.

Finally enter the authentication code.

If you mess up, be sure to delete ALL files (including noise reducer) before trying again.

no way.. cant get it to work...
doesnt apply the patch unless i unzip all the zipped files the installation produces in the program files folder...
then it works.. but the program refuses to open any file whatsoever...

Also i tested with the UPDATE for Sound Forge 9e and works too!!
No Errors
Tested on a Pc with WINXP Pro and in a Laptop with WinVista Ultimate
And everything is OK
No errors!

Just downloaded and installed, works fine!

Keygen instructions a bit confusing but that could just be me!!

Once installed and running I had no problems opening flac files, avi, quicktime, wma and mp3.

Kudos to the up loader!!

ive got the solution if youre running vista. Go to the directory of installation and find 'Forge90' or sumthin similar and right click and go to properties and then click on compatibility and put Windows Xp SP2 and youre done. run the program and it should work.

I have the same problem as "heerm8" above me. I can't get the authentication code to take. The serial number goes in fine, but it says the authentication code is wrong...

GUIDELINES TO INSTALL SOUND FORGE 9e
=====================================
Step: 1
Open-> Soundforge90e Installer and Install it......

Step: 2
open Directory-> ?\Program Files\Sony\Sound Forge 9.0
select and copy all the files and folders in sound forge 9.0 Directory....

create a new folder in desktop or 'C' Drive or wherever and paste all the files copied....

Step: 3
Open kegen (i have c version) and patch ..... (To patch, you have 2 select the new folder you created <- )

you will get a message that "Successfully patched"
->do not close the kegen....

Step: 4
open the new folder you created and copy all the files and folders and open Directory-> ?\Program Files\Sony\Sound Forge 9.0 and replace/overwrite it......!!!

Step: 5
open sond forge 9 program and enter serial key and authentication key generated by the kegen....!!!

100% it will work !!!

I am running Sound Forge Pro 9.0e . I´ve done all the patch and activation business successfully and downloaded and installed the Vocal Remover and Mastering Effects Bundle. Everything works fine except I cannot register the Vocal Remover and Mastering Bundle. At the moment the plugins work (apart from getting messages everytime I use them)but I presume at some point they will time-out. Does anybody know a fix for this please.

Everything installed correctly and the serial and authentication code worked. Did everything under administrator. Noise Reduction works.

One Problem!!!

Wave Hammer Plugin is still saying DEMO and leaves beeps when used!?!

Is this happening to anyone else??

Thx to the uploader download is just fine

I used MrUnstable's(comment number 10.) instruction for registration and it worked.
Extract it to some folder,install it then(after the instalation is finished DONT run SoundForge,and DONT click on register)<=====really important.
MrUnstable explained the rest of the process.
