I had the same problem and friend of mine brought me an external GPS device and i connected to it by bluetooth then i selected the internal gps in N95.
it is funny but it worked

sorry, i missed the point, I have installed the app successfully to my nokia, started it, pointed to the internal gps etc, but how do i load this europe map? The instruction says, "8. upload maps thru Mapsource" I am confused at this step

it is easy must select the karts at the programm mapsurce right the big window then left in the smal window to transver this karts push the transver button

u have to unlock maps same way like internal GPS. Find your card ID (garmin, system settings, about), create map at mapsource (attached program) upload map thru map source, upload gmapsupp.unl with crack code and go start your car

I tried to download from garmin.com but it it only an update.

Hi all,
Seems most people have the same problem here - what is Mapsource? It doesn't appear to be included in the download, and doesn't seem to be built in to the Garmin program.
Is 'mapsource' a program that we run on the PC - or on the mobile device..?
Any pointers here would be very welcomed!!

It seems I'm a complete idiot - even more of an idiot than I originaly thought.
Hence - I'm offering a fantastic prize to the first person who can post a link to the Mapsource software on the Garmin site (or elsewhere). Links to the Mapsource update (i.e. this link - http://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=209), will not win a prize.
'Cos I can't for the life of me find the original software - never mind update the feking thing!!!!!

Hi got it working, also upgraded to the last 4.60 and it works - fantasic, i had to remove the .txt at the end of the SW.UNL file.
however i have used the keygenerator, used european map, creatred a GMAPSUPP.UNL but it asked me to unlock the file.
I have also used the generator and used the serial in mapsource, i am unable to unlock a more detailed map - any ideas - please?

To register the maps you need the newer version of the keygen (1.2)

If you dont see internal GPS option you have the .txt extension on your notepad code file !!
to get rid of this delete the file and start again then in notepad select file--->save as and change file type to all files, before saving
when saved this way your icon should NOT resemble the notepad icon
visit noeman forum for 100 pages of info on this, if you still cant do it
give up you dumb reckuf

to put you all out of your misery,if you look at the 2 map files you will see that they are indeed alcohol 120% riped.so if you dont know what to do after that 
burn to dvd with alcohol 120%then the disc is your mapsourse and follow the install maps on to your hardrive.then use the mapinstall that you can get from garmin.com if you look hard it is on there,to put it on your n95. 
only took me a day hope you all enjoy.

Great Upload and just for you people who cant get your internal gps to work make sure you go into my comp / tools at the top then view then UNTICK hide extensions for known file types otherwise you wont see the .txt on the end of the file when you rename SW.UNL the file should be in raw format if you have done it right and not in notepad format

Hi there.
Keep getting an error message when I try to open my Garmin program.

sorry fot this but im a bit dimm here
cant get past step 1
can someone help, clicked on the zip file GarminMobileXTforSymbianS60_41020
then clicked on setup, the garmin step up window starts and tell me to check 4 things and click refresh
checked all 4,
1, phone is connected to computer
2, memory card is in phone
3,pc synch software is installed and running in system try
4, clicked on refresh and same window comes up again
aahhhh please someone help me with this

Have update this to 40.10.80 downloaded on garmin.com
incl new update's from mapsource 6137. work fine.
Fast GPS and software is fast to playing other music on my car radio.

Help please guys:
Last step after installing the maps on a friends N95 with the latest firmware, we cannot enter the map unlock code (once in the Garmin program). You can hear the keypad tone but it doesn't enter the digits/letters. Please please help, he's going to London in 2 days and knows SFA (Sweet **** All..) about the city... :o)

I have downloaded and installed the app en the maps to my mobile phone, a Nokia N81 without internal GPS.
I am using an external GPS which works well with TomTom. When I use it with Garmin it doesn't give the correct position. It is constantly at least 500 meters away from my real position on the map.
The programm gives the correct speed, but when I look at the map it looks like I am driving through houses etc!
I hope somebody can help me!!!

It's me again!
I watched at my Garmin, TomTom and my Nokia GPS.
Garmin says I am at:
N: 51,26755 degrees
E: 5,91717 degrees
TomTom says I am at:
N: 51,26967 degrees
E: 5,92238 degrees
And Nokia Maps says I am at:
N: 51,2696 degrees
E: 5,9224 degrees
Those last two are the same, but they are different in comparison to the Garmin position.
How is this possible? Can I change this??

Hmmm...appearently all given GPS locations where wrong....
But I solved the problem by downloading and installing version 5.000!
So it works and I am happy!

Sorry for being a pest but:
1. install garminXT
(+ install support files)
2. choose settings ---> about
3. enter ID number into keygen
4. create .txt file and enter key
5. rename .txt file to SW.UNL
6. Copy SW.UNL into G:\Garmin
The ID NUMBER of what?, please reply
