Thks dude i m very thankful to u, because i also had same version 6 years ago, but i lost it some where, from that time looking for registered version
but not get anywhere after finding and downloading it from vearious sites. It's great job by u that u provides us a great software, once again i thankful to u for the same and this is torrent contain no virus and running very smooth.

works strange on vista 64. when i start record a movie, the game crashes, and the video file is 3.90 GB... when i open it ( with VLC ) its some sort of song by shakira or sumthing... and then it crashes at 5:54

it does nothin, im using vista home premium, i try to record my gameplay it will froze for 5 secs then nothin happens except that frapps will close itself

But why slow it 10 or 20 FPS down if your Recording
Later if you see it then is it not smooth as how you play it without recording...

DL is .rar enclosed executable. FRAPs does not run after install.

SOLUTION TO "FRAPS NOT STARTING AFTER INSTALL"
Been looking to find the solution to the "not starting up fraps after instal problem". I had the same problem.
Apperently because you had a trial version before you cant open the fully installed because it leaves keys in ur register, its a type of protection called "Armadillo"
Here is what to do:
Delete any fraps program you still might have installed (also the folders)
Download a "trial reset program" , i used the one below here.

I scanned it, no virus in it.
Just unrar/zip it.
Start the Trial-Reset.exe
At the top menu, go to Protectors
Then in the slide menu, go to Armadillo.
Then click on "Scan"
It shud show a list with different registerkeys.
Then go to Protectors again, and then to Armadillo, and click on "Clear"
Reinstal ur registered fraps and it shdu work fine now.

it installed fine. but doesn't work.
and no, its not because i had a demo version.
this is a clean vista install that i did two weeks ago.
fraps worked fine on vista before i did the reinstall, downloaded and installed this copy and it just doesn't work. it just crashes when trying to record movies and generates a 3.9gb file.

i installed fine and like lots of u when i opened it nothing happened. i used to work when i was using the unregistered version and yes i did unistall and reinstall the new one.

people, i got scarred - i used that trialreset soft, fraps work perfectly, but - today i found my computer 4 GB lighter! what was deleted? i mean, i am not really a "big software proffesional" user and i am just affraid what the hell was these 4 GB that simply disappeared from my disc after using that trial reset - just like here on the forum was advised. anyone can tell me?

This is for the people who's Frpas Registered Version doesn't open up or comes up with an error message.
1)If it does open up but says Error Message then skip this step. Ok, what you have to do is what Cer43 said above (Thanks mate.)
2)Now, if everytime you open it it says Error, follow these instructions:
- Delete the Frap shortcut in desktop, it's invalid.
- Navigate to C:\Fraps (if you installed it in Disk C)and right-click the fraps executable with the Fraps icon and click Create Shortcut
- Drag or Copy/Cut+Paste the shortcut to Desktop and rename it to Fraps. Now double click on it and it should work. Worked for me and my classmates.
Hope it works if it doesn't please say so.
*By the way, excellent download no problem, super fast, no virus, simple installation unless you downloaded the trial/demo. Whoever says there is a virus has never had much of a girlfriend and sit at home all day
