I have 2003 7 series. When disc installed says "no maps on cd". Is this version compatable with this car ?

bmwtorrents,

Do you know if this will work on a new 2008 X5 (E70)? I bought it in US but would like Greek/European maps. Is there a website where I can get a list of available BMW maps? ~ Thanks.

Ja downloaded this ISO-file,but it didn´t work on my BMW (530 xd touring 2007 with DVD-slott.
First i tried to burn it as ISO-file but the car didn´t recognize it.
Then i extract the content of the file with magic-ISO programme and then i burned it on a DVD-disc,but it didn´t work either.

Somebody tell me if i do wrong,or if there is another way to solve it.

:(

lbaidhab are you sure that your car belongs to any of the Es', that the uploader mecioned?

I have a question too on how to burn this into a DVD. Should I burn the original file, as Data or as ISO-file, or extract it with magic-ISO and burn it as Data or as ISO-file?

Thank you very much for your help.

Little pit late answer but i finally succeed.
You have to burn it as an ISO-file (image copy of the whole file you downloaded).Best burned by NERO.You burn it on DVD+R.
Then you need to put it :) in the cars DVD-slott and start it.Amessage tell you that anew version have been loaded.Shutt of every thing and start the car after 5 minutes and then you go.
Good luck

According to the uploader only these models: E87, E90, E91, E60, E61 & E65 can use "BMW Road Map Europe 2008-1 Professional DVD inc Euro Speed Cams" and BMW X3 is an E83. You can check this out in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMW_X3 in the bottom of the page.

It works on a 2008 X5 (E70) as well. Make sure you burn the ISO on a DVD+R at the SLOWEST burning speed and it should work. Cheers!

One question, does it really need to be a DVD+R? Can't I use a DVD-R?

Hey I tried to burn it on Nero 8 Burning ROM as a "DVD-ROM (ISO)" and it says that I can't, because the file is bigger than 2GB :( ...

14.Posted by jadagonne on May 06 2008 at 15:35

hello, isn't it possible that you need an extra file or something?
because the dvd player in the car is protected against copys?

15.Posted by lbaidhab on May 06 2008 at 22:22

If you have an DVD-burner with RAM you kan burn more than 2GB.
I have nero express 6 and I open nero (smart start) then I choose (copy and backup) and then (burn image to CD).Then I put a DVD+R inside DVD-burner and then you go.
Do as I explain to you and you will get it to work.Goog luck

You dont need any extra file. You need to burn it as ISO-file image and your BMW will read it if your engine is one of these "E"s
