I use Foobar2000 > http://www.foobar2000.org/beta/index.html

Beta 9 is the latest beta version which is very stable on my machine.

You'll need an mp3 encoder also, I use LAME 3.97 > http://www.free-codecs.com/Lame_Encoder_download.htm

Just extract LAME to c:\program files\LAME

Install foobar & open.

Go to file >open audio CD >select drive that contains disc >RIP

Ripping method = single file image + cuesheet/chapters.

You can lookup the track names from the CDDB if desired (also reads CDText if avail on the disc)

Click on RIP >encoding preset (MP3 LAME) >select desired bitrate 190 v2 fast is good-best quality. Once you press OK you'll need to show foobar where LAME.exe is located (browse to appropriate folder)

Then

Select your output file location + filename.

Sit back & wait
