Great job on this, thank you! I had to download your rip even though I own the DVD. I spent hours trying to transcode to DivX, but could not find a way to rip without the director's comments.
I ran into the same thing with my copy of The Boondock Saints. I chose the audio streams one by one, ripped movie only with CloneDVD, processed with WinAvi (which sort of worked but then I was stuck with subtitles) and did everything that I could think of. I normally use the current "TMPGEnc DVD Author 3 with DivX Authoring" for quick and painless ripping.
Would you be willing to tell me how you managed to rip this movie and NOT get anything but the normal audio?

Never mind, I finally got it. I found that selecting ALL the audio tracks, except the non-English ones that I wouldn't understand anyway, was enough to make the movies play normally and without the Director's comments.

Good movie but the director's cut is way better. Its 30 minutes longer and I really enjoyed it much better than the original. Download it from here and you won’t be disappointed: http://www.mininova.org/tor/1590577
It also contains additional English subtitles. I don’t understand why those idiots didn’t release the director’s cut to the theaters.
