the keygen works!!
but you have to follow this instructions:
1. move your Avernum folder with everything in it into your Applications folder.
2. open terminal and cut and paste this command:
chmod +x /Applications/Avernum/avernum.app/Contents/MacOS/FFF
hit return.
3. launch the avernum.app keygen. worked fine for me on a G4.
this should work... the rest of it is easy

The keygen doesn't work on my MBPro under Leopard. I tried with terminal but get "Permission denied".Can some kind soul run my number for me please, i'll be much obliged !
Suggestion : if somebody (who has a registered copy) can submit a torrent containing the Avernum 5 Preferences, it will fix definitively the problem !

I've tried that. Unfortunately doesn't work. I've had problems with my comp working anyways. It's troublesome more often than not. Unfortunately Avernums are the only games that work, but keygen doesn't.

Yes u do have a terminal! and its easy to locate: HD> Applications> Utilities> Terminal.

Acctualy, all u had to do in the terminal was to copy & paste te command that I wrote above and hit "Enter"... I'm sure u would't find that very difficult...

The_Mentor, do u know where I could get the keygens for all geneforge games? I mean do u know any site or anything? I love both geneforges and avernums a lot (can't find for avernum 4, either, the keygen). I'd rather have the keygen for those, though, because my comp is unreliable when considered keeping programs on it. When I put the keygen onto my "outer hard disk drive" (I don't know if written right), it stays there and won't get lost. However after every problem I have to remake the key for avernum 5 atm. I have a macintosh (Imac, Leopard (10.5.1))
BTW does anyone know where I could put cheat codes and help for avernum 5 missions? I mean PUT them myself, not find them. I'd like to help ppl that way, too.

Thank you, The_Mentor. Do you know where I could find the keygen (mac) for geneforge 4? I have that problem that my comp "nicely" forgets the registering and creates a new code if something happens. If I had the keygen (mac), I'd really be grateful. Even a www-addy'd b enough. I've tried to find one myself, but most are for Windows.

sorry susan i have the windows version. i can give you more codes if anything happens, meanwhile i'll try and find a mac version. I believe there are some instructions on the net for editing your prefs file so you get the full version with a mac but since i dont have one i cant check they work

It's ok. I was hoping that there'd b keygen for mac, too. Well... At least the geneforge doesn't have the same problem Avernum 5 has (mac codes not working for pc and vice versa). G4's code worked fine. Thanx a lot really.

Unfortunately i only have a crack for geneforge 1. as far as i know there is no keygen. if you have the pc version i can link you to a crack for it. as for your geneforge 3 code it should be 14613

That has the .zip -file that at least opened keygen for me immediately without having to use terminal. Works on Leopard at least. = I have Leopard 10.5.1 on my comp.

DrAn0nym0us, Geneforge 1 has no keygen as far as i know. There is a crack for the pc version but none for the mac. The other codes are no problem though.

Okay, I retyped out instructions given at teh very beginning. (When he said to copy and paste, he put a space between the (x) and ( /Applications/etcetera. )
I got rid of the X, but now when I click on the Keygen (what I assume to be the fox icon application) nothing happens. Any tips on how to proceed?

There's actually like dozens of Diablo II -files, but I don't know how well they work. The mac version works extremely well, but pc versions can't be checked by me. Sorry. U can try them out, I guess (+ if u can't get cd-keys etc for them, let me know, I have a few extra (for mac version, but might just work for pc, too)

you need to put there the registration code (found in the lower right corner) and then press the generate -button. It'll give u the code for registration.
