This movie is fairly well known, certainly above most non-Hollywood indie movies, and has gotten rave reviews here in the US.

if you like the music in this movie, you'll also like "the cost", an album by the frames, which coincidentely is fronted by glen hansard, the lead actor in this movie.

The Frames (Glen Hansards band) are pretty huge in Ireland. The director of this movie is the bass player or ex-bass player from the Frames too. The Frames have about 5 or 6 albums out at this stage. Look them up on wikipedia

Glad you all enjoyed the film and music throughout. But please, go out and purchase the movie or music by the artists involved. I download alot myself but will always suport an Irish artist (being Irish myself) as I feel this music needs to be supported and encouraged. You'd be surprised at all the great music that has come from Éire.

Great Movie Great Music... the lead actor from this film was in The Commitments - I don't think he had any lines but pretty sure it was him. Thanks for the tip "the cost". Way to seeeeed neeeeeed to seeeeeed!!!

I love this movie. LOL I've already watched it for the third time. And the soundtrack is just perfect for this film. If one loves 'ONCE', then this soundtrack is must-owned!

suprised very few seem to know who Glen Hansard is, or that he is the lead singer of the frames, big band in ireland, and for those of u who dont know, he wrote and co-wrote all these songs but one, gold! LEGEND
