Works on the Street pilot C320. Just installed it yesterday. Just remember to get your unit id on your garmin. If you forgot, you can install the web updater and then use the city navigator to get the unit id. You need that for the keygen.

The keygen works fine. HOWEVER. It's loaded with viruses.

ribenaboy - the diff between XT v4.10.80 and XT v4.10.60 is pretty small so
it should be OK for N95 (unless it is upgrade against keygen...unlikely)
the instructions in (Garmin Mobile XT v4.10.60 for N95 N82+ENG-GER.info +CityNavigator NT Europe.torrent)"install_me.txt" & (Garmin MapSource City Navigator Australia 2008.torrent)"Installation & Unlock.txt" are pretty good. just jump off to my post at the appropriate points. My original post was hacked a bit to keep it with the allowed mininova post length. Will try to post the whole thing if you have problems.

tchelaomgn you need to use the garmin keygen to get the unlock key and you need to open notepad and paste it there and then save that as gmapsupp.unl and put that in your garmin directory. but you need to do it the same time you use the keygen to unlock garmin mobile xt, which means dont close the keygenerator after you get the key for garmin. You need to do it all in one go.

I've got the same phone. When you use mapsource, i know you can definately do it. You install all the maps when you download them, and they will be on mapsource, so rather than just adding say Australia and sending it to your phone, you add Australia, then you select a different map from the dropdown menu and select that country etc. If you've downloaded just the gmapsupp.img file, then im not too sure. I'm still trying to work that one out myself :p

@ uae4fun - you have to extract the .rar, and install map onto your pc.(mapsource)

@ Humus-King - Yes this map will work on c340, just put it on an sd card, or copy the current gmapsupp.img file from your unit to your pc, and send the Australian map to your units inbuilt memory. If you just try to send it to your inbuilt memory, it will erase your current map if you dont copy it first.

Hi there..

I need help to install this map to a Nuvi200w on an SD card. I have transfered the map via Mapinstall and Mapsource and each method does not unlock the map when transfered to the Nuvi via the SD card (through the card slot), despite unlocking the map to view on the PC.

The Sd card ends up with the Garmin folder with one file in it 'gmapsupp.img' of 154,444kb.

I understand that people keep mentioning a Key-gen and I understand the concept of one, but would appreciate if someone to tell me step by step of what I need to do nest to have it work on the Nuvi.

It's just I have never done anything like this before and it's frustrating the hell out of me!!!

My unit Id is 3388561793

Any help would be much appreciated.

@ deanzzx - Nothing official from TomTom, however there is a cracked one floating around. It's a bit of a pain to use, as each time u run tomtom, you have to reinitiate the gps. For some reason i can't find the torrent at the moment though

To unlock the map, you can do it in mapsource itself or you can create a file called gmapsupp.unl (.unl being the file extension)

@ kane-landers, I use the jetmouse keygen. Just got to be careful as there are alot out there with viruses. Once you generate the key, you can either use it in mapsource to unlock the map, or you can create a .unl file called gmapsupp.unl and just place the serial in there

Well managed to get the maps to unlock using the 1.3v of the keygen not the 1.1v I was using. Ihave unlocked the maps and transfered them to the n95 but when i open garmin an view map it says no map

@ vanishpoint, Hmm. I'm not really sure why it wouldn't unlock. Just to double check. Once you changed the .txt file to .unl, did it change visually from a text file to an unknown file? Also just in case, make sure there is no space before you paste the unlock code, and you just put the unlock code in, nothing else. ie; there should only be the 25 digit code in there. And also when you copy the .unl file into your garmin device, is the gmapsupp.img file in the same place?

Question: Do you have to copy the SW.UNL & GMAPSUPP.UNL files into your SD card at the same time before loading the applicaton. I have a nokia e71.
Or do you copy the SW.UNL file to unlock and then manually type the Map unlock ID?

I then went to "Utlities > Unlock Maps" and it launched the UnlockWizard. I type in the 25 digit Unlock Code and I receive a message, "You have successfully unlocked maps on your MapSource disc." Then I tell it I don't want to register.

The problem is, the MapSource still has the yellow box in the bottom right that says "Map Detail Locked", and I am unable to select maps to transfer to the device.

At what point to I upload files? I see people talking about the GMAPPSUP.IMG, but I am unable to find that file in this torrent. However I do find Rgn > All > CNAUSOF.IMG (150MB) & gmapprom.img (105MB). Do I rename one of these to GMAPPSUP.IMG, and create the GMAPPSUP.UNL with the information from the keygen?

Mine didn't work unfortunately. The garmin web updater updated the firmware on the 310, then the unlock code worked to update the maps on the device but then after rebooting the unit said it couldn't unlock the maps. I tried changing the gmapprom.unl file to the above code too, but it still won't unlock on the unit.

Any suggestions???

@ hithere, No you haven't bricked you unit. The easiest way to re enter the code is to rightmouse click on the gmapsupp.unl file and open with notepad, then delete the code you put in and replace it with this one. NKQ6J6CZDAUT8ED4ZS7WU8XY7

@ mojoho, Copy this NFZJBJMQU59MHTJ78RY8MX322 into a text document, then change the name to gmapsupp.unl , where .unl is the file extension. To read how to do it, look at post 73 above. Then copy that into your unit where the map is(should also be called gmapsupp)

@ mmelly57, To install this map, you use mapsource, which should have installed. You just plug your unit in, and upload it from mapsource. You can also create the gmapsupp file, then copy it into your unit separately, but the first way is easy enough. Do the same as i have written for mojoho, but use this code B28HLFLDMM2D5CYFN2L7QKDXE [That code is for your c320]. The answer to your second question is yes, you will need different codes for different units.

thanks insert this, had a bit of trouble with it originally, but finally got it done, initially it said cant unlockmaps, this is what I had to do which might help other users.
Highlighted the map of aus using the map tool which placed the 75 maps under the map tab, then went to utilities, manage map products, unlock regions, add, entered the unlock code (supplied by insert this) named the put a comment about the region (i used C320) (my unit), then transferred data to gps, using the transfer tab, this seemed to work not sure if this is what I was supposed to do, but may help other users,

Hi Guys,

I've been trying to get this working for over 2 weeks and i've had no luck.

I've got a Garmin GVN-52 which is an external GPR unit which can plug directly into an existing screen. I bought it from the US with preloaded US maps but I cant seem to be able to get the AUS maps unlocked on a 1 GIG SD card no matter what I try.

I've tried the following;
- install mapsource
- install the download Australian Maps from here
- managed to get the maps loaded on the PC and it does say the map is "unlocked" via utilities > Manage Map Products
- Used Jetmouse and generated key for Map ID: 271 and the 10 digit unit ID on the back of the GVN52.
- Created GMAPSUPP.UNL with the map unlock code.
- transfered the AUS maps via mapsource and saved the created GMAPSUPP.UNL into the SD card and popped it back into the GVN52

Loaded up the GVN and it says the maps are still locked. Damn it! Why?!?!

Any help would be much appreciated. My unit ID is 0100049512.

@ 85turbo, There should be an img file called gmapsupp.img You copy that into your new memory card. Then you need to get the unit id of the unit you want to use it on. You can do that through mapsource or when you have the unit on, you should be able to find it there. Once you have that, you have to generate a 25 digit code. Just post your unit id here and ill give it to you. Then, open a new text file on your pc, and copy that 25 digit number in there.

@ 85turbo, The original wont have the gmapsupp.unl file because it has been unlocked specifically for that unit. If you try that card in any other unit, it wont work, thats why you need the .unl file. As far as where should the map go, i cant quite remember. Hehehe. Been along time since ive tried it on a garmin specific device. I've just been putting them on phones lately. But try in the garmin folder, and if it doesnt work, try in the root directory. As long as wherever the map goes, the unl file goes with it.

@vai81, Yeah i think the easiest way is to use mapsource to get the unit id. Saves any confusion.

thanks, but that didn't work either.

ill try rebuilding a new map set, and sending that to the unit.
the first map set was copied from another of my garmin units(a GVN-53).

maybe that was locked somehow ?

I am not very computer savvy.

I just go to mapsource, then utilities, then unlock maps and enter the code there then try and transfer the map?

I don't know where the map is on the GPS as I just pressed transfer on the computer. How do I transfer that file once I create it (if I can even figure out how to) onto my GPS? please help

@ azza2929, You access the gps unit like an external hdd plugged into your computer. You should see it in "My Computer". Then where ever you see the gmapsupp file on your gps device, that's where the gmapsupp.unl file will go. To get rid of the .txt extension, you delete it. ie what you should see if you correctly unhid file extensions would be gmapsupp.unl.txt? if you see that, delete the .txt from the end of it so it just reads gmapsupp.unl

Hi,
After many tries and going around circles for a while I finally loaded the maps onto my Street pilot C320. It boots up OK and finds the maps but I now cannot get any satellite reception.
I have tried both a soft & hard reboot of my Street Pilot but still no good. I have left it outside with clear view of satellite for over 1 hr but still no satellite. Any ideas what may be wrong please. Have I killed it ??

I tried to insert the code into the coupon area of the unlock part of my garmin account but it didn't work and asks for an 8digit code which comes on the back of the product packaging.
Where is it i am supposed to put the code you gave me? do i need another program, if it makes any difference i am using a mac.

@ aaron1981, the code is to unlock the map in mapsource, or alternatively you can scroll up to post 73 above, and there is another way to unlock the maps
