Thanks for this. Now that 6.1 beta is out, any chance it will be posted soon?
For all you kids on Ubuntu, first install cedega if you dont have it. This is just the local update package. Start cedega, then go to 'TransGaming--> Install local update. Browse to the Cpkg file and you're done.
Find a distro with an actual root user, so you learn things by yourself. Cheers,
Hydran

Hating on a distro because it doesn't carry with it "an actual root user" is foolish, especially when it has all the same capability as any other distro. I've used quite a few.. redhat, fedora, mandrake, mandriva, ubuntu, tiny, slack, debian, and gentoo. There is absolutely nothing wrong with using Ubuntu/any of its children.

You do NOT need a "true root" account to do anything, sudo works perfectly. If you're really in need of a full root access for something, sudo xterm and have at it.

This installs flawlessly under Xubuntu 8.04. Don't listen to the distro hate. find one you like, and learn it. At the end of the day, its all the same.

hydranmenace, if u r at that stupid, u should stay away from Linux. Otherwise it may hurt.
KrystoferRobin, thanks for ur comment.

Thanks Lusiads. When you learn grammar ill care what you think. Ive been running a *nix distro of one kind or another for 10 years. I think I can manage without getting hurt.
