does anyone know how to start an ipod acct without a credit card
18.Posted by JackalOTD on Feb 05 2008 at 01:14
whats the e-mail u have to put for the account cuz i cant find the metadata
19.Posted by samonte_a on Feb 06 2008 at 23:04
i find this honestly confusing. I pretty much everything that's on there.
And not to sound stupid, but what in the worlds an acct? :/
and where do you insert your 'acct' in the notepad part? i really don't understand. and how do you upload it? DO I haaave to download that ipodlinux thing? is it that necessary?
20.Posted by hdo9528 on Feb 09 2008 at 10:55
Hey GUys!
You're supposed to open the game itself with winrar
21.Posted by samonte_a on Feb 10 2008 at 02:34
well.. obviously. and i know that. but i don't understand where the e-mail address is. :/
22.Posted by oversizdcowz on Feb 12 2008 at 04:59
since you all seem to lack problem solving skills:
>download the torrent
>you will then have a file called "ALL 8 iPod Games works.rar" wherever you downloaded it to
>right click that file and then click "Extract to ALL 8 iPod Games works\" which is going to extract the game files from the rar into a new folder called "ALL 8 iPod Games works"
>open that folder
23.Posted by oversizdcowz on Feb 12 2008 at 04:59
>open the "ALL 8 iPod Games works" inside that folder
>you will now see 9 files, 8 of which are games. if you cant tell which is which, please turn off your computer and start hitting it with your baseball bat as that might help in your situation.
>right click the game you want, for example "PAC-MAN 1.0.ipg"
>click "Open With -> WinRar Archiver" or if that is not on that list click "Choose Program..." and find WinRar
>WinRar will open and you will be looking at the files inside the game
>here you will have to find a file called "iTunesMetaData" (not IpodMetaData) and either right click and extract that file or just drag and drop it out into another folder
>double click that file and open it with Notepad
24.Posted by oversizdcowz on Feb 12 2008 at 05:00
>scroll over (or down if word wrap is on) and find the only email address that is there, in this case (maybe not for every game here) that email address is "vivianrv9@aol.com"
>replace that with the email address you use in your itunes account (acct is short for account...could you really not guess that?)
>save that file
>now drag the iTunesMetaData file you just edited back into the WinRar window and have WinRar's Update mode set to Add and replace files
>now close WinRar
>the game you just edited is now ready to be put into itunes
25.Posted by oversizdcowz on Feb 12 2008 at 05:00
>open itunes and click "File -> Add file to library" and navigate to the game that you edited
>the game is now added to itunes
as far as i can tell they are not compatible with the nano 3g's as there are no options i see that would let you add them to it. for that reason i have not tried activating any of these games so anyone who has a compatible ipod has to figure that step out for themselves (i know your IQ might not be higher than the amount of appendages you possess, but i do believe that you just might be able to figure it out - no guarantees though...).
26.Posted by elisevip on Feb 12 2008 at 16:36
I've done everything you said but it still doesn't work. I've added the game to Itunes but when i want to put it on my ipod it says that i don't have the authorization to use the game on this computer (although I changed the email in itunesmetadata as you said)
27.Posted by Nihilistic on Feb 13 2008 at 08:23
I believe this may work, I think i figured out how to make a .mac account without a cc, I changed my location to Japan..
silly as it sounds, it stopped asking me.
@elisevip, did you happen to use the email you used for your itunes account?
or did you use the example?
vivianrv9@aol.com?
idk, just trying to help, thanks for the upload!
28.Posted by balla4life on Feb 19 2008 at 07:05
its doesnt work after I followed the steps. I enter my itunes email addresse into the notepad document.
29.Posted by betobonix on Mar 03 2008 at 02:10
i've made everything correct, but i cant sinc them to my ipod. I think those games work only with 5th generation iPods, and not with iPod Classic.
thanks for all the help
31.Posted by twin2 on Mar 12 2008 at 06:14
I can put the games onto the ipod manually, but it says the version of the game is not up to date and then it conveniently directs me to the apple website to purchase the games.
32.Posted by InuyashaITB on Mar 14 2008 at 01:24
they do not work on the 80 gig video ipod
and i edited it to my profile but it does not work still, neither does manually, so unless u can guess the original person's account password... then GL
33.Posted by montot0 on Mar 14 2008 at 21:49
Only Zuma, Mahjong and Bejeweled doesn't work on ipod classic or 3g ipod nano
Do this:
Open the game you want with WinRAR
Extract iTunesMetaData
Open iTunesMetaData in notepad
Find the email adress
Change it to the adress on your account
Open the game in WinRAR again
Delete iTunesMetaData from there
Add the edited iTunesMetaData to the archive (Drag the file into WinRAR while the game is open in WinRAR)
Load the game in iTunes
Authorise it using your account
Finish
34.Posted by richardyogo on Mar 15 2008 at 08:38
How do you authorize it with your account. I've gone through changed the meta tag in winrar, my email's there instead of the orig. but I cant find any possible way so far to authorize it. I have an itunes account with a credit card. Any suggestions?
35.Posted by richardyogo on Mar 15 2008 at 17:26
Edit ^: The double click dealio works only on purchased games and if your computer is previously unauthorized. Ive looked at tons of threads on tons of different forums and noone is anywhere with this. So until someone gets a real idea, buy the game. If you dont have an account, tough luck. Steal a credit card.

GET OFF!!!! come back when you know the concept of physics(imPOSSIBLE to download anything but DATA off the net)and how the internet works you idiot! lol!!! OMG!!!!
43.Posted by HollyGirl007 on Apr 05 2008 at 14:13
pac man, if you buy an itunes card, you can type in the internet address on the card and follow the directions to make an account, if you open it through itunes and not the internet browser you HAVE to use a credit card. BUT if you open it through the internet browser, you'll use the itunes card, and will NOT need a credit card.
