Ummm..... So I downloaded this.... used Winrar to unpack it.... installed the game... then loaded the ISO into Daemon Tools (Virtual Drive F
.... and it still doesn't run... gives me an error, tells me to put the Disc in Drive E: ??? Can anyone help... is there something I'm missing??

Game going well so far. Nothing outta the ordinary to report.
Shut my Internet connection (always do this a precaution)
Loaded ISO with PowerISO
Installed Game (took alittle while)
When the installed finished it check Punk buster (at which stage I had to reable internet connection due to it wanting to recieve packet from PB)
Once the check is done with PB the install has finished.
Closed internet connection again and install the patch 1.1.
Worked a dream, applied Crack. Presto! :p

Ok so I got all the way through the torrent download and everything went fine, I ran the .ISO with DAEMON TOOLS and it installed perfectly. But once I tried to play the game it waited a couple seconds and gave me an error message saying "Conflict with Emulation Software detected." and won't let me run Crysis. How do I get around this? Am I doing something wrong?

This was the game of the year for the pc and it didn't sell well. How much longer do you think they will keep making these games for the PC!?
All these cheap ***** can afford their gfx cards but not to reward the developers.

HERES WHAT U DO TO GET IT RUNNING once downloaded and installed install the update vs 1.1 then once u do that get the game file open the "crysis" file it should be under electronic arts then crytek. the way to get to it on vista is to go to games right click on it click help and it will take you to the support folder you can just back one folder and you will be there now once there select bin32 or 64 i guess this is for the vista 64 or 32 bit dosent matter select the one that has bin in it then go to the "extras" folder in the download select it click on crack 1.1.7 open it select the bin you have 64 or 32 open the file take the "crysis" app and stick it in the bin 32 or 64 in the crysis folder it should replace to old crysis app and allow you to run it without the disk i hope this helped if u have problems then i cant help you but thats how you get it going

That´s right, to run this game you must emulate it in the E: drive. I think alcohol 120% can`t do it. Virtual cd v9 is better.
But also when you put it in the E:drive you´ll be asked to put the original cd.
Please help us. how can we apply this crack.

This game was amazing looking and very realistic but wasn't that fun. I would like to see other games coming out using the same graphics engine though. I don't remember where I heard this but there were supposedly over 1 million lines of code written for the graphics engine.
BTW:

I scanned the PhysX and didn't find any trojans in there. May be spidered into the game itself, or maybe parts of the bonus if you used them.
On the other hand, does anyone know why when I mount the ISO (I'm using MagicISO), the "INSTALL" button is shaded, as if it's not available. I can't click on the button, so can't install. And if I click "PLAY", it doesn't do anything, just shuts off the loaded and goes back to my desktop. Any help? Gonna try PowerISO right now, though.

Game works great!!
Just no save features...So I had to beat it all in one sitting, either that or leave the game paused while I do whatever. Beat it in about 2 days, almost non stop playing. Anyways, game ran great without any problems. No glitches or choppy performance.
For those that are getting the "please insert DVD into drive" or whatever, it's cuz you need to mount the ISO. Don't listen to people that say to use winrar or whatever to extract the files, that isn't necessary.

Works Great No Problems
1) Download Crysis ISO only. (don't download old patch 1.1) And any bonus stuff if you want.
2) Get Official crysis patch 1.20 (370mb) + 1.21 (38mb)
3) Get no dvd patch from http://www.gamecopyworld.com
(Crysis.Update.1.2.1.Proper-PoisonIvy.rar)
4) Get Crysis serial number from
http://serials***/d.php?n=85256
5) Mount and install crysis iso using daemon tools (custom install and did not install punkbuster/gamespy)
6) unmount crysis iso and uninstall daemon tools
7) install crysis patch 1.20
8) install crysis patch 1.21
9) install Crysis 1.21 no dvd patched exe over origional
10) play and enjoy Crysis
Works fine on my PC intel E8400 / 2gb DDR2 800 / xp pro 32 w/sp3 / 8800gt 1gb video card.
As for post 76 no problems here. Save games work perfectly for me.

Guys everyone thats having trouble because it says insert a disk just burn the it as an iso image with nero or get a no cd crack from gamecopyworld.com and go to the game program file overwrite the existing file with the crack and you wont need a cd (when you download the crack click save not run then extract it manually because it sometimes messes up if you dont) =]

If you need a crack. First check the game version, and get the crack that matchs your game version. few things that can make crack doesnt work:
1. most cracks are very old like 2 or 3 years, and wont work with the latest OS.
2. some games require you to emulate cd images, using virtual cd porgram, like alcohol 120% or deamon tools.

The Physx software is a newly implemented software from NVIDIA. If you want to know more, just visit their site. It focuses on dealing with the Physics of ingame stuff like ragdolls and soft-bodies and whatnot. yeah, something like that...

It works 100%. You do not need to get any other files other than the OFFICIAL CRYSIS PATCHES for the game to work.
EnglishTeacher's Easy Instructions:
1) Mount or burn "1 - DVD Crysis.iso".
2) Install the game. You do not need Punkbuster or Gamespy **** that it offers you to install as well. Here are some cd-keys:
GHEE-9JLE-FVYV-Y52Q-ZS69
5DKK-G7PQ-GKJM-FYUW-KNMP
3) Download the official Crysis Patches, 1.2 and 1.21 and install them.

4) Go to your Crysis folder and rename the Crysis.exe file to Crysis_orig.exe and copy the one included in the torrent download to that location (its inside the "Crack 1.1.7z" zip file).

replace that file with the one in the torrent:

well this is **** downloading at 0.8k/bs started of at 150.0kbs for like 1hr at this rate its going to take 2 weeks! and im only sownloading it of 4 or 5 peep at once and there in USA says there peep in GB (where i am) and they have 100% of it same in northen euorpe to why dose it only let me recive it from peep in USA and most of them only have 10% or so of it that i recive from
and ive also been keeping a eye on the peep that have 99.??% of it and as soon as it hits 100% they go away or stop seeding it

i just did 1.1 and then i unzipped the crack 1.1.7z then copyed the Crysis.exe in the bin32 into the
C:/programe files/Electronic arts/crytek/crysis/bin32
replaced the other one after making a bkup
and then wished i did get a £200 gfx card and not that new cooker
hope that some help

Yes, ATI, crossfire 3870's here. Image quality on nVidia cards will never match that of ATI. Not to mention the amount of tweaking and editing that can be done with ATI cards.

you need to check that your graphic card is good enough for this game.
the black screen can be caused by shortcut you're using. make sure you're running the game by the crack shortcut, which means you need to create new shortcut after u install and crack the game.

When I try to install the patch in Vista, I get the following error:
