newborn69 what a nooB.on most game discs is a crack folder.just copy n past into installed directory.........

sims order for install should be:

I could only get bon voyage to work and not the regular game using the no cd fix. i have ~ 5 gigs of room to work with so i'd like to know what all i'm supposed to use the replacement file on before i drive myself mad ;D

Hello everyone, I've been considering this all options and I've installed successfully the game. Here is what i have done. Downloaded all the patches from the Sims main site (http://thesims2.ea.com/update/). Then i have downloaded the virtual drive for magiciso that calls magicdisc at http://www.magiciso.com/tutorials/miso-magicdisc-overview.htm?=magiciso . With that i have mounted all the .uif images. When you install The Sims 2 main game, you just patch it with previously downloaded patch. It won't ask for CD4 because you have already mounted it for installing the game. Or just mount it, if it isn't already. So the main thing is that you mount the .uif image that you have downloaded it with magicdisc. So it means that you do not unpack it!!(or make and .iso image, cose it won't read it when updating).

Yes, i told for all expansions, because the crack that is in this torrent is for bon voyage. You can try dling no-cd for the sims 2 only, on some other site or torrent.

-Download and install Daemon Tools (link below)
-Run "daemon.exe" and a little red (or green) lightning bolt should pop up in the lower-right
-If it's red, right click it, hover over Emulation and select "all emulation options on"
-Right click the icon and hover over Virtual Cd/DVD-rom and set the number of devices to one drive.
- Right-click again and go the the same Virtual CD/DVD-Rom option and hover over "Device (letter): no media"
-Mount Image
-Select the Sims 2 CD1
-This will mount the fake disc to a fake drive, tricking it into thinking you've inserted the first CD
-Install with your CD key
-When it asks for disc 2, hover once again over the Device (letter) and select Unmount
-Then, mount the second CD and click OK, it will continue installation
-Repeat for CD 3 and 4

TO GET RID OF THE FAKE DRIVE:

- Highlight Virtual CD/DVD-Rom and set the number of devices to 0. And yes, you do want to leave emulation options enabled when you exit the program.

I swear everyday I learn something new (like I'm going to have to put this in multiple comments... haha), but I am just not getting this one. I believe that it works. I also believe that I am computer stupid and am doing something wrong. Okay, I downloaded most of this file (I wasn't interested in the teen, university or pet packs). I installed the actual sims 2 game and the fashion expansion. No problems with installing. However, I went to click on Sims 2 and it said "CD not found. Please insert correct disk." I tried all four and that didn't work. So then I clicked on the sims fashion icon and it said load disk, so I used magic iso and loaded disk to which it said, "Conflict" and a close button. To be continued....

I agree with 4u2me, .iso and .mdf are the 2 best image types, and big deal if it makes the end result DL size say... 100mb bigger, it's a 9 GB download, 100mb ain't gonna make that big a difference... .uif is an image type I've never heard of, must be a blah type (like noname or something)... I guess I half to install Poweriso again to convert back to iso.... again then uninstall poweriso... again, lol

Thanx for the UL anyways... will seed to 2/1 ratio as I always do for big ULs like this... and on rare occasions, I seed till it reaches a decent number of seeds if they're low.

Razortheone: First of all, this version doesn't have the "free time" expansion, so it is lower than 10 GB. Second, I don't know where you were looking, but the largest I found that has all of the expansions and stuff packs was 10.6 GB. So to be on the contrary, this is actually "THEONE"


stunedge18: Most games have the crack inside of the files. If you mount the image and then go to "my computer" and find the CD image you mounted it to, all you should have to do is open it up to the Folder named "crack." From there it should be self explanatory. If that doesn't help then just get the crack at http://www.gamecopyworld.com

Hi, guys. Just thought to share my experience of this torrent. I had quite a lots of prolems trying to install the game, but I managed to do it
I have windows vista, so it does work with vista.

jedi12669, this is what i did:

-downloaded the game
-installed magicISO
-installed magicdisc (as you said, not included in this torrent)
-mounted uif files with magicdisc
-installed the expansion packs (all of them in my case)
-to play sims 2 wiht this torrent YOU NEED TO INSTALL BON VOYAGE AND USE NON CD FIX. at least i didn't get this to work without non-cd fix..

And usually when you have expansion pack installed you play using the expansion pack cd/dvd, not the one from original game

Once you have the software, look for it, then where it says number of drives (look hard for it, its there) choose 4.

mount all of the CD ufl. files on each drive (CD1- drive 1, CD2- Drive 2, etc... (it would be wiser if you mounted the files backwards, meaning CD4- drive 4 frist, then CD3- Drive 3)There you can go through the process without having to mount and unmount, over and over and over again.

Ok, now that should be completed. If there is an error, re-run it again, or run it in "safe-mode". the reason for it begin an error is probably because theres too many things running in the backround, not fast enough, not enough memory." Safe mode i will not explain, but you do the same as you did above.

The downloading and installation went great, I didn't run into any problem, I followed the exact direction in the instruction files, at least up until the last step, where it ask to copy the file in the "no-cd-fix" to the "Bon Voyage/TSBIN" file, it replaced the existing file. But when I tried to play, it kept asking me to put in the bon voyage cd. Does anyone know how I can fix this? I am really anxious to play! =(

Still.. to play with this torrent YOU NEED TO INSTALL BON VOYAGE EXPANSION PACK AND USE NO CD FIX (wether you wanted to download it or not).

So install the expansion pack(s) you want AND then install bon voyage and use no cd fix. THEN you can play without "Please ensure The Sims 2 XXXXXXX disc is in the drive" message.

if you've completely installed sims 2


make sure you install the bonvoyage package as well.
after you install. you have to do the NO-FIX b.s.
which is:
-in the "Sims 2 Complete" file, click the [instructions] file
-there will be the no cd fix file, open it.
-copy that file
-now, you must have extracted the bonvoyage package if you've installed it by now. so, in the extracted files click the TSbin file and delete the "Sims2EP6.exe" file and paste in the file you just copied.

with the magicISO program, mount the bonvoyage cd and click the bonvoyage icon to start playing!!

you can install the other expansions, or which ever ones you want, but in one case you have to have bonvoyage installed.

when you want to play the game, you always click the bonvoyage sims icon, and make sure the disc is mounted!

Try the following:
once it force u to insert disc4, just ignore it and use Taskmanager(ctl+alt+del) to terminate theez 2 processes:'TS2UPD.exe' and 'autorun'.If u do this, it willnot reverse the installation.

I waited almost a week to download this, it took up a huge amount of space on my computer, and now I am going to have to uninstall every last piece of it. This was the biggest waste of time ever. Someone help me. So here is the break down on what I did:

Downloaded all files
Read instructions
Downloaded Magic ISO
Downloaded the Magic Drive
Installed everything using Magic ISO
I took the 'No CD FIX' (SIMS2EP6) and drug that into the Bon Voyage(TSBIN file)

And this is where everything took a turn for the worst.

zor143, I followed your directions and extracted the Bon voyage files, I didn't know thats what I had to do, when I extracted the files they turned into a folder, which is unmountable. Am I missing a step?? There are three possibilities to exratacting: extract to , extract to here, extract to 'some folder name', which on is the right one?

Well, this is weird... I'm about 80% through, and my download speed was going at 30 kB/s for awhile... now it's crawling again and my upload speed is giving me spikes every other minute of over 1 MB/s! Then it almost immediately stops for one minute, and spikes again! It's done this ten times!

Before I ask my question, first of all I want to thank you Zone117 for going to all this trouble. This game will be great once I get it to work.

My question is this:

PROBLEM: When I play Bon Voyage, it does not recognize any of the expansion packs that I've already installed: Open for business, Pets, nightlife... nothing! Bon Voyage plays fine, but because in game I have no access to other expansion pack features, it's as if I never installed any of them.

No, that isn't necessarily true. If you go about the pirating process carefully,then you're safe. I personally have Vista, and although I'm a bit anxious, nothing's happened to me yet.

guys, best thing to do. Buy a new expansion pack, install the game and the stuff packs and expansion packs. Install the game you bought and voila no problems. You have all the Sims 2 games. And the pack won't cost much max $20 for a stuff pack

OKay so far as i can seen this is a pristene working order sims torrent

I have one problem

After I install the expansion packs [doesnt matter which one they all do this]
it says -will now to see if simsII needs to be updated: insert the sims II disc 4

I do this, and it errors, then uninstalls the expansion.


anyone else have this problem? How to work around this??!

Got most of them downloaded - STIll SEEDING tho. just wish they would all install.

Uif files are MagicISO files. U will need to install that then decompress the .uif file. Uif and .daa files need to have a funeral......

Okay.

In reality, if you have Vista, and a typical amount of stock memory in your LAPTOP (don't ask about regular desktops) the game will run SLOW. And not only will the game run slow, but it will cause your overall pc to run slow as well. Not worth it. I love the sims, and would love to play it, but it causes way to much lag. I uninstalled after about 3 days of using.

It did take a while to figure out how to install it though. Don't listen to the jokes who say "It's easy if you just read the instructions." If you haven't used a mounter program before...it's not that easy.

So...if anyone is having any install issues on VISTA, let me know, and I'll walk you through it.

Overall....

Performance: 8/10
Speed: 3/10
Quality: 10/10
Download: 1/10

Please somebody help me! Once I download the original Sims 2 with 4 cd. Ther e is a problem on "The Sims 2 Disc 3.uif" file when I try to mount it by using MagicISO or PowerISO.. I already downloaded the .torrent and all the Data, and did already download the MagicISO as well.
I just can't crack the MagicISO (I know there is a cracker in the .torrent, but I just can't use it. Don't know how.) and read the god damn Disc to Install!!

The only problem with this is the torrent only has cracks for Bon Voyage this is why only this one works. To solve this, look for the cracks to the other packs like 'open for business', and maybe post the links here, i will if i find them.

Ok, I had some troubles, and finally worked out a solution.

Download magicISO and magicDISC. Load magicDISC, which should load in your system tray in the bottom right. right click the hand holding the cd and go to "VIRTUAL CD/DVD-ROM", hover over the virtual drive, and click "mount". Find sims cd1, load it and follow the installation procedure. when asked to insert disk 2 , go back to virtual cd/dvd, and mount disk 2 the same way you mounted the first disk. REpeat as necessary untill install done.

groundzero: it's either game or the crack that you have downloaded is corrupted. Try to download the crack of sims 2 from this website http://www.gameburnworld.com/pcgamefixess.shtml It might work.

ff12: you need to download sims 2 as it is the base of the game before you can install the sims stuff and expansion packs.

-installed everything successfully.
-pasted the No-CD crack in C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\The Sims 2 Bon Voyage\TSBin, and overwrited the existing file.
HOWEVER, when I click Bon Voyage's icon, it tells me to insert the correct CD!

Right, it's saying this game isn't compatible with Windows Vista for me, and when I try to open the No-CD application it says I don't have DirectX 9.0v when I clearly do.

For 1rockchild well lisetn.

1.Get Magic Iso
2.Then Open the .iso file
3.Then Make a folder or your desktop saying (Name of game or expansion)
4. Then once you open the .iso file then drag the files (all of them) into the folder
5. Then click EaSetup. etc whatever its called it should be called something along the lines of setup....
6. Enter product key provided
7.Once instaleld then copy EP6 in the crack folder to C://Program Files/EA Games/Sims 2 Bon Voyage

DONE DONE

Getting thoroughly frustrated with this torrent.

First I couldn't get the mounting to work properly and had to decompress the files to use daemon tools. Then the third cd decompressed didn't work so I had to re-do it.

Now when I open 'bon voyage' I get a pop up that says 'celebration' package. I've tried recompressing it over and over again but keep getting the wrong package.

So I don't even know where to put the no-cd thing because I don't have a bon voyage folder. I tried other folders and cannot open anything. When I try to open Sims 2 it says it's encountered an error and needs to close.

VERY FRUSTRATED!!!!!

The crack doesn't work for Bon Voyage and there are no other cracks in the folder to put in the other expansions. I know that you place it into the TSBin, I've done this with Ikea.

Any ideas?

You have to download the base game Sims 2 and no expansion pack. However, the Sims 2 does not contain the crack and I heard that if you crack it, you cannot build new houses anymore (never tried that, so maybe there is a working crack somewhere).
I suggest you to DL a Bon Voyage expansion as weel, because there is a working crack. Then you run the game with the Bon Voyage shortcut...

This torrent downloaded pretty fast for me

and once i figured out i had to use magic iso to mount and install it all went in just fine.

Patch worked fine to

but i cant play it it crashes after about 2 mins

i am using Vista so i presume that is my problem like most others are having

it says "Please Insert Sims2 DVD To Continue", I tried using many images but non works,and if you kill the process or restart your pc,not allowing it to remove the installation,you will have the expansion working but on its own! meaning no merge of expansions is possible!

OK!!! HERE IS A STEP BY STEP GUIDE! HOW I DID IT!

1. download everything. thats right, everything that comes with this torrent. especially bon voyage. YOU WILL NEED IT FOR THIS TORRENT TO WORK!!!

2. install magiciso and crack it (comes with torrent in case you didnt know)

3. open "sims 2 disk 1" with magic iso
3a. convert "sims 2 disk 1" to iso
3b. download daemon tools(just google it) mount disk 1, install
3c. repeat for all uif files in sims 2 folder (no expansions yet)

4. repeat steps 3-3b on "sims 2 bon voyage"
4a. once it is installed, copy "SIMS2EP6 in the "No-CD Fix" folder to wherever you installed it (most likely here C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\The Sims 2 Bon Voyage\TSBin)
4b. make sure to copy it to the "TSBin" folder

7. I have found out that Sims 2, family fun, h&m, nightlife, open for business, and university dont have crack folders. install them anyways because they will work.
7a. Glamour life does have a "crack" folder but it is renamed as "Razor1911"

8. after you have installed all of the expansions. just run bon voyage. it mashes all of the expansions together.

AH I've figured out how to do this you need to have both magiciso and magicdisk, magiciso is used to edit iso etc... files and magic disk is used to boot/mount them to your cd drives, it can also make virtual drives up to 15 of em so that way you don't need to change disk every time it asks you to.

So just mount all the uif files into the virtual drives then just install em, you can either right click then go to virtual cd/dvd-rom then to the virtual drive you want and click browse cd and find the bootable file like autorun etc... or you can go boot it from "My Computer".

Also if you don't know how to make virtual drives just right click the tray icon, go to Set Number of Drives, then more, and choose your ammount. As i said before you can only choose up to 15 drives.

I'm not sure if it works for everyone but i know it has for me hope it help!

Hi there everyone. I hope I might get some help with this.. I have a few questions.. So here goes.. Well, I've just managed to mount Sims2 for PC, I got it to work but the only problem now is that I cannot seem to install the other games such as Bon Voyage, Nightlife, Pets, Seasons, all of them.. Can anyone explain what I have to do? I use Daemon Tools, and I heard in a different thread something about they need to be in order? Is that true? If so, anyone know the order perhaps? Any help at this point would be much appreciated because I've completely ran out of ideas on how to make this work. lol. I've already spent 8+hrs today figuring out how to mount the Sims2. Also.. I'm using Daemon Tool's 4 slots on Mount and I have all 4 of the UIF's for Sims 2 in there, do I have to use all 4 of the UIF's or is there a way I can only use 1 for the whole Sims 2 game? -Curious- Thanks for any help if you do comment me back... freetime, apartment life, kitchen & bath interior design, and ikea home stuff were all present and working when i downloaded this two days ago. along with everything else it was supposed to come with. true though that it was missing mansion & garden stuff and happy holiday stuff... but i'm not going to fuss. this is a great download. though i would advise making the instructions a little more "newb" friendly... not everyone knows exactly how all that stuff works, i mean there might be people new to this sort of thing - personally, this was the very first game i mounted myself. i managed but i would have liked the instructions to be less vague. either way though, thank you so much for this download it's wonderful!

For anyone who only wants to play The Sims 2 without downloading any of the add-ons. This is what you do:

Download and install The Sims 2 using Magic ISO to mount each disk as it asks for them.

Once installed, go to: http://gbw.naxpllc.net/dl.php?file=Sims2v1.0FixedexeDVDEng.rar and download that file.

Then go into your main Sims directory and then into TSBIN. Then replace TheSims2.exe with the one you just downloaded.

I also mounted Disk 1 again before I started the game, not sure if this helped or not but i've got it working after trying multiple things. Hope this helps. I'll pop back to help if anyone needs it.

If you READ, He used UIF because it is the most compressed ISO format and buddy it's very common get over yourself.

Id probably be about 13gb to 15gb if it was using the .iso format.

You have to unmount the 1st Sims disc, and mount the 2nd disc...then when you've done that, press 'ok' and it will continue with the installation. You do that for the rest of the discs as well until you complete the entire installation. Hope that helps you Jeanna.

As for my problem with the extensions and having to update the original game, I still can't seem to figure this out. It terminates the installation every time I try...I could really use some help from someone who completed all the installations!

is very easy you need to have 4 cd´s and you need to extract the files with magiciso and you burn on the empty cd without magiciso only with the windows program to burn cd´s is very very very very very very very very simple i hope that i wold help

3. Click on ?:No media and the mount. Find the sims 2 disc 1 and click open.

4. It should say something like verifying uif or something

5. The Sims 2 autorun should pop up. When it does, click on it and the sims two installation should start.

6. When it asks for keys and sort, look in the readme instructions for all the keys.

7. After sims 2 disc 1 is installed, it will ask for the second disc and so forth. Keep mounting it on the same part as the first one,. Don't mount it another drive.

8. After you have all that done and it is installed, exit out of all that and mount Bon Voyage expansion set onto the same drive. You need Bon voyage in order to play.

To everyone who's having problems mounting the CD's, I am having that problem too. What I did was burn each CD you're having problems with. In my case, the University Life was buggy. The mounting process isn't 100% effective, and not treated like a regular CD/DVD by your computer.

If it's too much work for some people, just buy it. I'm sure a lot of people are selling their complete collection cheap coz the sims 3 is out. :p

To people who are having problems with updating the expansion after installation, turn off your firewall or antivirus software! This will let you install everything without a hitch.

.... I have yet to test out if this bugs out on me or what. I have my original sims 2 deluxe and bon voyage -- legally bought :p so I'm really just after the expansions.

Converting to iso, just use the magicISO software. Under tools>Convert. Then burn with NERO or another burning software. I couldn't get MagicISO to burn properly for some reason.

Please note the following:
*you can use another mounting program as long as if supports .UIF files
*you can run all of the games through Bon Voyage, there are no cracks included specifically for the other games so they will still say you don't have the correct CD to run the program
*it takes a long time for the game to load, so unless you cannot move your curser and the game music stops it's still loading and most likely still works
*all of the updates should install as you go along, as long as your internet is working
*it should work on any windows operating system, I'm not sure about mac or linux

If you have any issues installing it you can email me at xxxabeosinxxx@aol.com, but before you do that please read through the comments as to avoid any repetition, if you're too lazy to read just use Ctrl+F to bring up the find and search various words that might describe the problem you're having.

ok everyone it took me 30 minutes to figure this out. When you open magiciso click on tools then virtual and it should install some freeware. once that is done then itll pop out on bottom right icon tray and right clcick then mount the disc one. once it asks for disc 2 donot cancel just go to bottom icon tray and mount disc 2 over disc and and wait for it to verify once its done veryfin just clicki ok and leave the runsetup alone. I hope this fixes everyone issues!

I'm very irritated that this 9 gig file was very hard to figure out and when I finally installed the game (on VISTA) the family select screen kept flashing red and the graphics looked like flashing red Star Fox graphics. When I got past the intro animation it took 4 minutes to get to the load screen. Once I picked a family I always got stuck on the load screen and waited 10 minutes only to see that the program has been terminated.

How did I install?

Get MagicDisk (this program lets you open the cd's using a virtal CD-ROM that windows creates. A method called mounting.) I didn't like MagicISO.
All you have to do is right click on your tray the Magic Disk and go to Virtual CD/DVD-ROM and pick the file to run it as if you're popping the CD in.

Every time it prompts you to insert a certain disk, I just "mounted" the correct CD file when it asked me, inserted all the keys, put in the attatched crack, and everything installed correctly, but this **** keeps crashing on me.

Vista User. I have no idea how to actually do any GAMEPLAY but I can RUN the game.

I need a little help. In the sims 2 folder i extract everything with power iso, but when i try to extract disc 1 it says that it is unsoported, what should i do?:S Im going to try to download it again, just the disc 1 part.

whenever i mount the disk, then try to play the game, it says put the correct disk in and i know its mounted. any help please?

additional info:

I run on XP, dont know about vist dont like vista and generally disaree with the use of what is esentially a beta program so dont even ask me about it.

Openin the game via Bon voyage makes all the games playable you are not just getting bon voyage.. any sims fan should be able to tell this on loading the game.

It is possible to run and play this game with other more updated ISO programmes but as it was made with magic ISO it runs best on it.

If you install as above it will take ages to load but game play will be perfectly fine

I'm fairly new to torrenting so if this is a noob problem, I'm sorry.

I've downloaded it, and everything, and for the first few CDs mounting was fine, right click, bing, bang, boom, fine.

But now when I right click, go to magicISO, mount, it opens the CD, and doesn't autorun the installer.

I've tried to autorun from inside, but no luck, zone, anyone, can I get a little help.

Yet again, thanks if anyone helps out.
