Why the hek are you using .uif files... Why not .iso, .bin, .mdf or .img Comon i don't want to install all those weird programs like poweriso or magiciso!?!?!

newborn69 what a nooB.on most game discs is a crack folder.just copy n past into installed directory.........

First off, PowerISO and MagicISO are not "weird" programs. They are very common and as a torrent you should already have them installed anyway.
Second, UIF files are the most compressed form of images. If this pack was in any of the formats you listed, the torrent size and download time would be relatively increased. Don't be such a nub.

I could only get bon voyage to work and not the regular game using the no cd fix. i have ~ 5 gigs of room to work with so i'd like to know what all i'm supposed to use the replacement file on before i drive myself mad ;D

Hey, I've got a lil problem. Once I install any of the addons, it installs, but as soon as the installation finishes it upgrades the base game. After upgrading a screen shows up: please wait...

Also encountering same problem as Post No. 22, also running Windows Vista Home Pro.
Once update is completed I get please wait screen and it jams up until I reboot. I have only been able to install Bon Voyage without this issue.

Actually Bon Voyage is the only thing working for me still. I even installed the cracks in some of the other packages. Im using vista home premium. Every other game type freezes

For all those useing vista as their o/s (like me) ...just do this right click the sims icon then select properties...then select compatibility them look to the bottom where it says run this program as adminastrator then you should be good to go.....sorry about the grammar but im a canadian we love beer hockey and MOOSE NOT grammar lol

Thank you very much for putting this up here, but I have a few issues.
Firstly, I suppose it is important for you to know that I am running Windows Vista.
Secondly, I was able to install the game, and most of the stuff packs. I got Bon Voyage to install perfectly, and it runs well. However, I cannot open The Sims 2 if I click on just it's icon, I have to run it through Bon Voyage. The Sims 2 says that I need to insert CD, and when I do nothing happens. I have to restart. I did do the whole No CD crack procedure.

Thirdly, I cannot get any of the other expansion packs to work. I go to install, and everything works fine until I get to the end. I then get a screen that says "Please Wait..." and it never goes away. I have to restart to get rid of it, and make my computer work properly again. The MagicISO Virtual CD/DVD will not let me right click on it when this "Please Wait..." screen is up. This has happened with all the expansion packs (except bon voyage), and I believe it happened with one of the stuff packs as well.
From reading all the comments above, it seems that some others have come across the same problem- I just wanted to explain in more detail.
If anyone has any ideas as to how to resolve this issue, I would be very thankful.

Kogapa: When installing the game and it says please insert disc two, you have to unmount disc one and then mount disc two. When the program you are using is done verifying disc two, press Okay.

I'm getting the same problem when I am installing Sims 2. I finish installing the first disk, but then it asks me to "please insert disk number 2". I'm not sure how to switch the disks, so if anyone who was able to successfully download this could help me out with step by step instructions, that would be great.

those of you having trouble installing may find it easier to use MagicDisk virtual dvd drive instead of magiciso, its made by the same people and you can find it on their website. when installing simply mount and unmount the proper disk and do the same to play.

I have tried everything to get this to work properly, and it just isn't worth it. 9 gigs downloaded, and the only thing I can get to work is Bon Voyage and all the stuff packs (except family fun stuff).
There must be other torrents for WORKING sims 2.. and since the uploader of this file "mysteriously" vanished as soon as problems started to arise, it really isn't in your best interest to download this file. I even tried emailing him, and I received no response.
SAVE YOUR TIME AND EFFORT FOR A *WORKING* FILE.
DENEVEN: What problem did you have that the patches sorted out?
I downloaded the patches, and they didn't do a thing. Everything is apparently "up to date".
Also, you can get those patches at the Sim's website.

Hello everyone, I've been considering this all options and I've installed successfully the game. Here is what i have done. Downloaded all the patches from the Sims main site (http://thesims2.ea.com/update/). Then i have downloaded the virtual drive for magiciso that calls magicdisc at http://www.magiciso.com/tutorials/miso-magicdisc-overview.htm?=magiciso . With that i have mounted all the .uif images. When you install The Sims 2 main game, you just patch it with previously downloaded patch. It won't ask for CD4 because you have already mounted it for installing the game. Or just mount it, if it isn't already. So the main thing is that you mount the .uif image that you have downloaded it with magicdisc. So it means that you do not unpack it!!(or make and .iso image, cose it won't read it when updating).

Anyway, don't worry about other games cannot start. Cose you only need Bon Voyage game to play. All other games can be played with it. I hope it helps. For further questions just post a comment.
P.S. Epacks and and stuffs, only require patch for the main game, installing other patches is your own decision.

Yes, i told for all expansions, because the crack that is in this torrent is for bon voyage. You can try dling no-cd for the sims 2 only, on some other site or torrent.

I noticed that quite a few people have had trouble installing so I thought I would elaborate on the instructions since it worked perfectly for me.
I suppose I should tell you first that I am on XP and cant really help you with Vista related problems
ok
so you download everything and install the Magic ISO.. simple enough
before you start you need to go into my computer an find the F: drive (Magic ISO's drive) and right click on it find the drop down box that says Magic ISO and the click 'unmount all drivers' (this simply avoids any confusion)
you now open Magic ISO and click 'try it'
once opened you need to locate the sims download in the box on the bottom left and since there is no perticular order to install you may as well work your way down the list in whatever order they have saved.

-Download and install Daemon Tools (link below)
-Run "daemon.exe" and a little red (or green) lightning bolt should pop up in the lower-right
-If it's red, right click it, hover over Emulation and select "all emulation options on"
-Right click the icon and hover over Virtual Cd/DVD-rom and set the number of devices to one drive.
- Right-click again and go the the same Virtual CD/DVD-Rom option and hover over "Device (letter): no media"
-Mount Image
-Select the Sims 2 CD1
-This will mount the fake disc to a fake drive, tricking it into thinking you've inserted the first CD
-Install with your CD key
-When it asks for disc 2, hover once again over the Device (letter) and select Unmount
-Then, mount the second CD and click OK, it will continue installation
-Repeat for CD 3 and 4
TO GET RID OF THE FAKE DRIVE:
- Highlight Virtual CD/DVD-Rom and set the number of devices to 0. And yes, you do want to leave emulation options enabled when you exit the program.

I swear everyday I learn something new (like I'm going to have to put this in multiple comments... haha), but I am just not getting this one. I believe that it works. I also believe that I am computer stupid and am doing something wrong. Okay, I downloaded most of this file (I wasn't interested in the teen, university or pet packs). I installed the actual sims 2 game and the fashion expansion. No problems with installing. However, I went to click on Sims 2 and it said "CD not found. Please insert correct disk." I tried all four and that didn't work. So then I clicked on the sims fashion icon and it said load disk, so I used magic iso and loaded disk to which it said, "Conflict" and a close button. To be continued....

continued.......I read all of the files above and the instructions and now I'm more confused than ever. The included instructions said "Install expansions in NO PARTICULAR ORDER." But I keep seeing comments that say to install in this particular order. Then I saw someone say there were cracks included in each of the folders, but I see none. Am I overlooking something on that one? Do I need to install ALL of the expansions in order for it to work? Cuz, that doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. I don't want to install everything and then find out it still doesn't work. Someone please please help me out here. I know that people who don't know what they're doing seem to bug everyone else, but hey, we're trying to learn. At least I am. And if I can't get this to work than there is no reason for me to seed which I hear is a big concern for a lot of people. I'm willing to seed if this works. So helping me helps others who want this program.

If you managed to get this file to work on Daemon Tools I would like to know how because as far as I was aware uif files are for MagicISO only and I couldnt get it to work on Daemon at all.

It looks to me like a lot of you are making the same mistake I did at first and not unmounting the driver after each use. Isaid in my previous comment how to do this.
you need to make sure that after you install each game you unmount the driver or it will not recognise that you are installing a new disk which is why the AutoRun function does not work.
in the case of 2 disk installation you have to unmount disk one mount disk 2 wait for it to load before you press ok on the prompt box.

I agree with 4u2me, .iso and .mdf are the 2 best image types, and big deal if it makes the end result DL size say... 100mb bigger, it's a 9 GB download, 100mb ain't gonna make that big a difference... .uif is an image type I've never heard of, must be a blah type (like noname or something)... I guess I half to install Poweriso again to convert back to iso.... again then uninstall poweriso... again, lol
Thanx for the UL anyways... will seed to 2/1 ratio as I always do for big ULs like this... and on rare occasions, I seed till it reaches a decent number of seeds if they're low.

Downloaded entire file. Installed MagicISO and MagicDisc. Mounted Sims2 Disc1. I kept running into errors while trying to install. "A problem occurred while trying to transfer the file "xxxxxxx" from the media." The first few times it was missing the the first file. Now it's installing that file with no problem, moves on to the next and then encounters the same problem. I'm not missing any files. I don't understand this. Please help!!!

Razortheone: First of all, this version doesn't have the "free time" expansion, so it is lower than 10 GB. Second, I don't know where you were looking, but the largest I found that has all of the expansions and stuff packs was 10.6 GB. So to be on the contrary, this is actually "THEONE"
stunedge18: Most games have the crack inside of the files. If you mount the image and then go to "my computer" and find the CD image you mounted it to, all you should have to do is open it up to the Folder named "crack." From there it should be self explanatory. If that doesn't help then just get the crack at http://www.gamecopyworld.com

I have a quick question, should be simple for anybody who has successfully installed the game. I ran the setup application but am having trouble booting up the game. I also have the same problem. Everything worked fine. At the end of the disc 2 installation of Sims 2 University, a message "Please make sure the Sims 2 University disc is in the drive. Select ok and restart the application." When clearly, the Sims 2 University disc is mounted using DaemonTools. It's so weird I need help.
And yes, there was also that part of updating the sims 2 and it made me insert disc 4 of the main Sims 2.

Okay I'm totally dying here.
I practically read ALL 133 comments and I still don't know what to do.
Here's what I know so far:
Download the game
Install MagicIso
-make the uif's into iso's
-run iso's with an emulator like DaemonTools
OR
Install MagicDisc --> which is not included in this torrent
-directly mount uif's using MagicDisc
Install (in my case, Sims 2 University)
-insert disc 1 then disc 2 of Sims 2 University
Update
-insert disc 4 of the main Sims 2

Here's where the problem arises:
When you finally get to RUN sims 2 university, it will tell you to "Make sure the Sims 2 University disc in the drive." So you do make sure, and it is! You try mounting the iso in DaemonTools, it doesn't work. You also try mounting it in MagicDisc and it still doesn't work.
I tried patching it with the Sims 2 CD patch. So it's updated now. I try installing it again and it still doesn't work.
The "No-CD Fix" for Bon Voyage, i tried putting in the folder of Sims 2 University and it became "corrupted" when I tried to run it. It made me reinstall.
So far I'm dying. Please help, thanks

Hi, guys. Just thought to share my experience of this torrent. I had quite a lots of prolems trying to install the game, but I managed to do it
I have windows vista, so it does work with vista.
jedi12669, this is what i did:
-downloaded the game
-installed magicISO
-installed magicdisc (as you said, not included in this torrent)
-mounted uif files with magicdisc
-installed the expansion packs (all of them in my case)
-to play sims 2 wiht this torrent YOU NEED TO INSTALL BON VOYAGE AND USE NON CD FIX. at least i didn't get this to work without non-cd fix..
And usually when you have expansion pack installed you play using the expansion pack cd/dvd, not the one from original game

Once you have the software, look for it, then where it says number of drives (look hard for it, its there) choose 4.
mount all of the CD ufl. files on each drive (CD1- drive 1, CD2- Drive 2, etc... (it would be wiser if you mounted the files backwards, meaning CD4- drive 4 frist, then CD3- Drive 3)There you can go through the process without having to mount and unmount, over and over and over again.
Ok, now that should be completed. If there is an error, re-run it again, or run it in "safe-mode". the reason for it begin an error is probably because theres too many things running in the backround, not fast enough, not enough memory." now, download the files in reverse order. You see that university is frist? download university frist. Even though the uploader clearly states it doesn't matter in order, just download university frist. use the same step for downloading the Sims 2 above for university. Meaning, mount both images at the same time and run setup.
do it for the others as well, lets pray it all works well.
Copy the crack, as stated in the note.
click on sims 2!!! click on that one, yes i know. wait untill the error comes out, it should tell you which one to run instead. in my case, it said to run Sims2 teen style stuff, which look like the opening screen to an mmorpg (such as guildwars or 9dragons) when inside that screen click play.

Now the reason why this download only includes the crack for bonvoyage is simple, because thats the only one you need. An expansion pack is to enhance the gameplay of the original game, its not a whole new game itself. so the most recent expansion pack added to the game, would be the CD you would need, in this case bonvoyage is the most recent one. thats why you need that crack. once you play the game, the screen would say sims 2 bon voyage, but you'll be able to play other expansions inside the game like university and business.

also uploader, i think theres a problem inside the game where the characters and objects all get disorted, black lines appear in game play and sometimes the body is missing off of the sim. im not sure if its the crack or the download or maybe just the game, but i thought i should bring it to your attention.

The downloading and installation went great, I didn't run into any problem, I followed the exact direction in the instruction files, at least up until the last step, where it ask to copy the file in the "no-cd-fix" to the "Bon Voyage/TSBIN" file, it replaced the existing file. But when I tried to play, it kept asking me to put in the bon voyage cd. Does anyone know how I can fix this? I am really anxious to play! =(

Oh so THAT'S how it should work. The uploader assumes I install all expansion packs. Well what I apparently had to do is get the no-CD fix of University, not Bon Voyage, because I only installed University. And if I just installed both Bon Voyage and University, I could play with University by opening it with Bon Voyage. Yes. Haha thanks.
Though I am concerned about aylt's problem with the actual replacing the file with the no-CD fix and it didn't work. Oh well.

you can still play university, but if you want to play university you downloaded from this torrent you have to install also the bon voyage expansion pack and use the non cd fix as in this torrent it's only for bon voyage... you don't need to install ALL the expansion packs (i did cause i want all the cool stuffs) but the one(s) you want PLUS bon voyage

I have problem extracting, it says somethings can't create path folder more than 260 characters. I couldn't get a lot of the addons like open for business, fashion stuff and glamour life stuff. So I decieded to just download the university expansion pack(along with the basic sims2), but after

-mounting and installing
When I click on The Sims 2 University Icon it states
Please ensure The Sims 2 University disc is in the drive, select OK and restart the application.
So I remounted and tried both discs and still same error message.
Any fix to it, I read the other comments and a couple people were having problems with this? Is it a must to download all the other expansion packs for this to work or what exactly?

Still.. to play with this torrent YOU NEED TO INSTALL BON VOYAGE EXPANSION PACK AND USE NO CD FIX (wether you wanted to download it or not).
So install the expansion pack(s) you want AND then install bon voyage and use no cd fix. THEN you can play without "Please ensure The Sims 2 XXXXXXX disc is in the drive" message.

Ok... I've gotten up to installing the expansion packs now. But need help!
When I run the installer to any of the expansions it works up until it asks for disk 4 of the the sims 2. I insert the burnt disk I made (which worked for installing the game! and is fine) and it doesn't read it, therefore I can't install the expansions!
+ Does the "No-CD fix" only work if you install "Bon Voyage" last or does that not matter?
+ Do I have to burn CD's of all the expansions or just use the "run game" in the files that were downloaded?
Help is very very much appreciated!!!

if you've completely installed sims 2
make sure you install the bonvoyage package as well.
after you install. you have to do the NO-FIX b.s.
which is:
-in the "Sims 2 Complete" file, click the [instructions] file
-there will be the no cd fix file, open it.
-copy that file
-now, you must have extracted the bonvoyage package if you've installed it by now. so, in the extracted files click the TSbin file and delete the "Sims2EP6.exe" file and paste in the file you just copied.
with the magicISO program, mount the bonvoyage cd and click the bonvoyage icon to start playing!!
you can install the other expansions, or which ever ones you want, but in one case you have to have bonvoyage installed.
when you want to play the game, you always click the bonvoyage sims icon, and make sure the disc is mounted!

What if...
Your an idiot like me... and extract all the downloaded ISO disk files, burnt them on to disks (make them work by the way!), delete the original downloaded ISO's, then using the extracted files make them ISO's again. then... be able to install "The Sims 2 game" (completely, using disks and/or ISO's), then finish installing any expansion up until when it asks for "disk 4 of the Sims 2", then it doesn't recognize the "disk 4" (Keeping in mind "disk 4" worked using the same process when installing "the Sims 2 game" initially). (on that note; I noticed the mounting process mounts the image on the "F:" drive while the updater thing looks for "disk 4" on the "D:" drive, resulting in not being able to install any expansions!!)
I hope my detailed explanation helps!

Try the following:
once it force u to insert disc4, just ignore it and use Taskmanager(ctl+alt+del) to terminate theez 2 processes:'TS2UPD.exe' and 'autorun'.If u do this, it willnot reverse the installation.

Right im new to this and have tried everything for myself iv read all comments so im finally asking for help...here is what iv done so far...
files were already iso.
- mounted sims 2 disk 1, 2, 3, 4 seperatly..they installed fine, then i installed each expansion pack with codes etc...then i copied the crack code from the document folder to the tsbin file in the freetime expansion...then iv clicked on the fretime desktop icon and moounted the freetime disk..but it stills says wrong disk inserted...dont really know what to do been trying for 3 days...could someone help...kindest regards..sarah xx

Step 2: Click on "MagicISO" with the right button and click Virtual CD / DVD-ROM, then G: No Media -> Mount… -> ta and the folder where the file ISO.
Step 3: Insert the CD on January 1 "ISO" when requesting the CD-2 goal, the CD 3, and CD 4.
Step 4: When you open the CD 1 insert CdKey and click Next, Next and Ok
Step 5: When you ask the CD 2 click "MagicISO" button right in with Virtual CD / DVD-ROM -> G: "Name ISO" -> and Mount vai and the folder and choose the CD 2 the same for CD 3 and CD 4.
Step 6: When you finish the installation insert the CD 1.
Step 7: Make it so that the crack copy file "Crack" to the folder -> Computer -> Disc C -> Files "blabla" -> EA Games -> The Sims 2 and make Paste and accept sustituiçao.

it WORKS GREAT! I couldn't use MagicISO to mount b/c it asked for CD when i played. so I used Daemon Tool and it worked fine! Great Work!!!

Apperently my last post did not work. I am trying to play this game and it will not work. I downloaded everything, installed the magiciso, and replaced the file it asks in the Bon Voyage. I try to play the Bon Voyage and it will not work, it tells me to insert disk. I tried the same thing on Daemon Tools and it also asks me to enter a disk. What am I doing wrong?
