downloaded the movie. 10/10 both sound & video.

I see the subs in the folder but how do I get the subs to show up?!? Also i wanted to burn it to dvdr but dont know how to make the subs show up.
I would appreciate any kind of help. thanks!

first of all go into the folder with 'city of men.avi' in and ull see
the 'subs; folder, open it and right-click 'city.of.men-keki-subpack.rar' and and select 'extract to men-keki-subpack\'. now a new folder should appear called 'city.of.men-keki-subpack'. these two files are your subtitles.

use convertXtodvd (downlaodable from mininova) and once u've added the .avi file ull see a subtitles menu, Right-Click and select 'Add Subtitles' then choose the subtitles from the 'city.of.men-keki-subpack' folder.

then convert once you've done a menu and everything.

i have tried and for some reason mine keeps freezin up when it gets to about 15% but i dont kno why because every other movie works when i use convertXtodvd.

im pretty sure it not a corrupt .avi because it sometimes gets to 30% and then sometimes only gets to 18.5% and if it was corrupt it would get stuck at the same place every time.

i didn't even need a password or anything. the quality is fine, both a&v. you can get subtitles from www.subscene.com. thanks again

After you goto www.subscene.com and search for subtitle file for City of Men, download it and unzip it into the containing folder from your torrent download. now i know this folder already has a subs folder in it but i didnt use it. I used the new subs file from the subscene.com. then all you have to do is rename this file" City.Of.Men.2007.DVDRip.XviD.srt". This should be the exact name as the avi file you downloaded right down to upper and lower case (DO NOT USE MY " " marks!) but make sure to add the
".srt" at the end of the file. Works perfectly!

HI. I just Wan`t to hear what kind of mediaplayer U r ussing (hardmanfedead ) , theonly player i can get sub. in a movie is DivX Subtitle displayer is that the same one u r ussing? I have try the think whit the srt.file on a diffrent palyer but no luck Sry my spelling .
Plz help

Have you tried VLC Player?

Don't forget the movie and subs must have the same name

ie: cityofmen.avi
cityofmen.srt ... or .sub

To burn into a DVD, ConvertXtoDVD is awesome!!!

It's in Portugese, but the subs have english, spanish and also portugese.

For the subs, just open the zipped file, and open it up with VLC Player. You select the subs selection via the drop down menu under 'video' and 'subtitles track'. It works.

or ... unzip, make both the subs and avi the same name (only different extensions ... obvious!!! >-) , double click the .avi file, and you're done
