Hi ok so im kinda new to this whole downloading stuff.I use Bitlord to download all my files.Everytime bitlord is done downloading the game I want it alwAys says that it cant find the souce of the file therefore i can't run it.Can anyone tell me why this is? Also the discs i have can only hold up to 700 mb each.How can i slip up the files to fit on different discs?

Hi Toed im having some problems with the direct play, i uncompressed, ran the launcher, ran the extract to my files (to my folder) and everytime i click on the gta_sa just crashes and gives me that usual screen from windows when a software crashes, any suggestions?

To Toed sorry i didnt answer you straight away Toed, I have been a bit busy, well my system is not old at all 1 gig ram, athlon 3800, nvivida gt8500. It's just crashing out of nowhere. I used to play san andreas on this computer when it came out and everything was fine, could it be something with the registries? should i try and run it on compatibilly mode?

yeah that'll be possible, when you are running vista... the other thing, what it might could be,is when you have on-board sound-card, then this can happen too, accorded to the readme file coming with this release... anyways, lemme know if you had luck!.

called _extras. and in the _extras folder (directory, path) there is a file

but instruction says to download patch you have to follow this steps
- Launch the updater EXE file.
- Confirm that you are using the correct updater for the specific version of GRAND THEFT AUTO: San Andreas you are using.
- Use the file requester to locate the directory where you installed GRAND THEFT AUTO: San Andreas (the directory which contains the gta_sa.exe file).

but dude i can't find updater EXE file.....

there is no need to leech this patch, its all included, you look into the extra folder, and read all info, especially those about the original exe file (you need to move this to the mainfolder, then update the game, and then you must look for a new NO CD .exe file, which isnt included!).

toed, you are by far the best torrent uploader. i downloaded the san andreas rip, and it worked perfectly.
i've been playing it, and meanwhile downloading this version, san andreas ultimate or something, because i want the dialouge, radio stations, etc etc.

alright, i installed peerguardian 2 beta, i believe it's working.
now for the kbps problem. it's really stange actually, because when i decrease my uploading kbps, it decreases my downloading kbps, when i hadn't touched the setting.

dunno why that happens, may check your tools ( if ) running in the background, the other thing you should do is a "clean" re-boot... and then checking it again!... and check out if all of your codecs, drivers, etc is up-2-date ... as well as directx... check them all out!

when you clicked the launcher, you simply follow the on screen text, which in this case tells you to wait 1:31 maxim, once the screen dissappears, you can press "esc" to exit, then look for "makedestopicon.exe" and double click it, if done, you close the window, and click on the new desktop icon,

I KNOW HOW TO GET RID OF THE ERROR REPORT!!!!!
i know all you guys on here keep getting error reports once you installed it, but what you need to do is this:
after you have installed, go to the folder where it says (gta sa .exe, trainer etc..) and once on there, click the back button to where it says install.exe, and you will see a folder saying grand theft auto san andreas(the folder when you click on it to open it comes up with the gta sa .exe etc.. and rename that folder to GTA, then copy the folder to anywhere you like (the desktop). Once you have done that you should be able to click on the folder(double click to open it) and it will come up with the gta sa .exe and all the other files such as trainer etc.. and click on the gta sa.exe and instead of a error report coming up, it should go into a blackscreen and load up the game! there the error is fixed!

yeah that should work too, BUT YOU FORGOT 1 IMPORTANT THING!...
after renaming and moving the folder... you should click on the .reg file, that way, your windows does know where the gamefiles (the other related files) are installed... and then i think youre talking about the -rip- version... because you wrote... "click the back button to where it says install.exe" 1st: there is no install.exe either here or on the rip version, its a install.bat (batch file!!) and this is on the -rip- version only, so youve been more carefuly next time , where you post your comments,
comment and torrent should be the same, not just the NAME of da GAME!...

vista users may try to change compatible mode to WinXP... or either they can try running the game with 3DAnalyzer... that should work too, dunno, i dont have and want vista for the next couple years... but maybe one of the thousands of leechers who are having v(p)ista can help here... come on, if you dont seed, help the other way...

Great rip, and I got everything to work but a couple of problems....
1. The Mod installer doesn't detect my GTA: SA folder even with all the registries and path files correctly placed.
2. I can't seem to get that mission where you steal madd dogs rhyme book. It just freezes in the beginning cutscene in the mansion.

Oh God Bless Ya Toed for having the patience to work with some of these boneheads!
Anyways I downloaded and probably over-modded(car skins only) so it wouldn't work, I deleted everything including the regkeys and started fresh, but this time the EXE won't load at all since it can't find the vorbisfile.dll, which is like right there in the directory so I'm not sure what it is talking about, help!!

Did make a backup on disk of the zipped original and started from there with the reinstall, everything is always in the same folder since thats what it does when you unzip. I don't generally put this stuff in my c/programs usually c/...Desktop/Games/Gamefiles/GTASA BUT I did move it to the programs folder and redid the toed.reg at that location.
Oh well I'll abandon this one as I've tried it several times and it just will not startup after multiple deletions and reinstalls, this vorbisfile.dll problem has a history on the net and it is just recommended to reinstall, oh well GTA4 will hopefully come out on PC this or next year!! Thanks Toed!

Just to follow up on my earlier comments, my GTASA does work now, I had just over-modded and had a corrupt save file, once I used a backup save file all of the problems went away and am now able to play just fine.

I cant get it to work at all! all ive done is manually put in a TINY mod, the weather mod... and every time i clock on the desktop icon at says it cant find it and browses for it!!!!! i cant get it to work at all!! and when i go to gta sa.exe it comes up with an error message!! help!!!!!

hey Toed,for your other smaller 700mb file, will it be compatible with the multiplayer mod? from http://www.sa-mp.com/
If is does work with it, do you need to update the game to install the multiplayer mod? So that u have the same version as others when your playing online.
Do u need a serial number or anything for the online play?

Heey Toed i have a question, i can start the game and all is fine the load a game i select one of the files, then the loading screen comes up and the loading bar stops when he is around 50 procent, do you konw what is causing this?

i highlighted the \Grand Theft Auto San Andreas folder, copied, then pasted it on
C:\Program Files
pc crashed the first time (lol), but i tried it again, left the pc on overnight cause it was taking like 50+minutes, when i woke up, it was pasted in there already. thats when i clicked on GTA-launcher and the makeDesktopIconS. (the one under C:\Program Files, NOT the launcher under C:\Documents and Settings\[USER]\My Documents\Downloads\PC_GTA San Andreas -Ultimate- (read nfo)-.direct.play.-ToeD\Grand Theft Auto San Andreas)

hay nirvanarien ur loading will starts automatically. it always happen with server. but u must always make sure that u see a utorrent icon on the right side besides the clock time. is u see that than ur utorrent is working if not click on utorrent it will start working. i just have to say u must have to wait and which kind of dsl or cable internet speed ur using. for further detail u can contact me on mark_bbc12@hotmail.com i can feel the strees of waiting . when it will finish and u will be start playing game.

hi, how do you uninstall it, i messed up using img tool and game wouldn open so im looking to uninstall it and reinstall everything
i deleted everything but the gta_sa / eax.dll / ogg.dll & the vorbis.dll wont deleted, saying its been used by another programm or acess deneyed , copy write protect or smethin
also when i was opening the mod installer up, everytime it would pop up sayin it couldn find gta location ,clicked ok and it opens up anyway,
do you have to make the rockstar games folder and put it into programs folder?

the mod pop up is normal, you must browse all the time manually to your gta folder... and reboot your system, and delete the rest of gta sa... when finished you unrar it again!. and follow the descriptions ( install nfo )
( should work when you use the same location! )...
doesnt matter if the folder is called reockstar or whatever, the tool doesnt checks automatically what folder is used!...

simply update your Nvidia Drivers, that should solve your problem, if not, update nforce or even everything you can update, these games nowadays are in need of up-2-date drivers as well as codecs and other things like windows hotfixes, these are mostly problems people think ive made, but its 98 percent done by our beloved windows (microsoft) freaks... i only can suggest to keep em all up-2-date , no matter what! ( drivers etc. )

funny , iam just listen to, hehe, ahwell its the hard to find tracks made by "newcleus" the music track is called automan (playtime 7mins. or 9mins. cant remember exactly!)

i do not know why.. but i can't even install the game.. i dl it, unrar onto my desktop, clicked on GTA-Launcher.. pop up to select resolution... i selected 1280x1024 .. then error pops up with the visual studio debugger...
i have tried to delete and unrar again.. same problem..
does it mean that i have dl a corrupted copy and need to do it all over again??

nope, choose 640x480(best fullscreen) and click start,if you had any problems. this is the savest way of having the launcher running, and make sure to follow the onscreen text!. , you choose your 1280xblah resolution later on in the game... happy gaming!

So, I've got a problem: when I clic on gta_sa.exe, it shots down and show that error report...
So I came here to see if someone else had got this problem, and I tryed this:

But it still doesn't work.

did you click on gta.exe AFTER moving the files in program files?
if you launched GTA.exe and makedesktopicon BEFORE moving it, you should probably delete the two icons n your desktop first, then try it again AFTER moving the Grand Theft Auto San Andreas folder to Program files.

Ok, I think a lot of People have issues with Window Vista !!!
HAS ANYBODY GOT IT TO WORK WITH VISTA ?
if so please help the others, they really seam to be some issues for a lot of people including me.
- I unzip the file and place it in /programe file/
- ran the launcher
- Ran the icon creator
- ran the reg file
But still the same famous error message
Am I missing something ?

Hello that game is complete, without any cut, of videos, music etc.
That file: GTA-Launcher.exe that is in that. torrent is not an installation program, he is a solemnity extractor, that extracts all of the files for the paste that you to create in any part of the computer.

Hey, I had the same problem with launching the game - just put the GTA San Andreas folder to My Files, and everething works well (after that, you have to create launch icons once more.

I think ive done everything, i readed all post to avoid repeating, but the game wont load.
Problem: Double click on "gta_sa.exe" on "C:\Program Files\Grand Theft Auto San Andreas" and the pc just do: Nothing. Trying the shortcut: GTA.SA.Modded (ToeD)that looks at: "C:\Program Files\Grand Theft Auto San Andreas\gta_sa.exe" and still nothing.

I made a double click on the "gta_sa.exe" with everithing done and nothing happens, the exe file even doesnt appears on the "Windows Task Manager (CTRL+SHIFT+ESC)" when i double click on it
