this torrent is alsome its probebly the first game that i downloaded that has not a single problem

Oii oiii mr uploader... dude the torrent is corrupted.. thts wht it said when the download was finished... when i tried extracting it usin WInrar it went upto 95% n then says the file is corrupt... i m trying to download it again to see if there was any probs there.. do solve the prob man!!

ok, this torrent is clean and working. I finished this game today successfully. i had few purple textures in the first level and it crashed when I started typing "c" into the console, but that was all. that could be problem with my pc and graphic card and drivers (nvidia 5900xt). otherwise it is completely working, you can see everything, no other bugs, does NOT require steam - its standalone, no viruses. Im seeding it and its worth downloading... have fun, enjoy

i have the same problem as nihilnihil. The game crashes in the middle of the first level when the combine come out of the transparent bridge in the citadel. help!

I u/l this torrent,glad those that enjoyed it did,as for the moaners,it was a notoriously buggy game having a lot to do with pc/graphic cards spec as anything else,as you see here a lot of ppl got through whole game while others crashed.THATS LIFE,good job you never bought it huh?

As others already noted the game crashes in chapter 4 when you go up a ladder. Unfortunately other torrents of this game all have missing textures that can only be fixed if you have half life 2 installed.
Therefore I suggest you first install Half Life 2, this one works fine for me:

Then you install Half Life 2 Episode 1, but NOT this torrent, get this one instead:
http://www.mininova.org/com/1505608
IMPORTANT You have to install Episode 1 in exactly the same folder as Half Life 2.

ive allready tryed to download all versions of half life on mininova. and all the torrents he mentioned is just a great way to waste 10 hours! (each!)
the only half life 2 torrent i got working was this. http://www.mininova.org/tor/1125103
however it does not contain episode one and two. witch is why i consider downloading this torrent.
i allready have dopemans torrent for episode 2, but have to play trough episode one of course

hey johnnie72 i know thad episode 2 thad you suggested is not with an instaler but are the other two with an instaler becaus iv'e downloaded 52 pc-rip games and only 16 worked pc-iso are mutch better every game i've downloaded thad was pc-iso worket

i have completed the whole game so did not crash at chapter

i click on the hl2ep1installer with winrar and it looks like its ectracting to somewhere, after it's finished it just goes away (like always) but now wat do i do? plz help me guys

I didn't fix the game, it had worked suddenly when I tried to launch the game. So I don't know how to fix the game but I hope you've already fixed the game

The release works like a charm, no need to put files from the HL2 folder into the HL2ep1 folder. It's just like the description says: download and play, no need to do more.
Please note, however, that it took me a long time to extract the .exe from the .rar (having a core 2 duo @ 2GHz and 1 GB ram and not running anything else). From the moment winrar reached 99% extraction to the moment that the file was actually extracted, it passed about 3-4 minutes, so, if winrar seems frozen, don't panic and have patience.
