Toast 8 it's a application for Mac like Nero for windows you can find it with ease...
after you have Toast 8, click with secondary button on .dmg file, or CRTL+click primary button AND select "MOUNT IT"...well it's done!

Wen I put in a serial number it always says "The product Key you entered is not valid please try again"

Sorry to sound stupid, but I have just got toast 8. I have made halo a .dmg file, and when i load up toast 8, I then click on 'Utilities' and then mount disk image. I select the .dmg file, and a message comes up saying : 'Toast could not detect the format of "HALO.dmg'. Click to continue if you are certain that it is a valid image. I click continue, and a window pops up asking me to enter 'Pregap' and 'Postgap' sectors?' If i select ok, nothing happens, and when i click on halo, it still says: 'Please enter the orginal cd'
Please help!

burn the image with disk utility (preinstalled on ur mac) to a cd and pop the cd in and it'll work...the serial issue...that i cannot help you with...i bought the game and am glad i did...

I've done everything and now when I click on the icon it says please insert cd...
i have toast 8 and serial box, i dont understand how to copy it to a cd,
do i need a specific kind of cd?

and then replace the exe in that file with the one in halo directory

i had the insert cd problem, just burn the .dmg to a disc, then insert the disc. if that doesn't work, open the .dmg on your desktop then burn that to a disc.
when you insert the disc, make sure you don't have any other disk images of halo open.
then it should work - bringing you to the serial number screen, which you'll need to either use one of the ones on this page, or get serialbox (~2MB download, google it).
btw, it works wonderfully once you've got it working. the only problem so far is occasionally getting "Your CD Key is Invalid" when laying internet games, but this only happens occasionally and has always been fixed by restarting the program for me.

excellent! working on my SR Blackbook Rev D 2.2C2D, 2gb RAM, leopard
and the online works flawlessly. NOTE if you have little snitch, allow all connections for halo as the program blocks halo connections by default (at least for me it did).
thanks! now i don't have to run halo out of bootcamp!
and listen to #22 up there if you can't get it to work.

so i burned all that i need onto a dvd disk and it WOULD work right but the disk is one of those that can only burn once. and then when i move the whole thing onto my apps. it doesnt work right.

Why do people complain about people asking questions huh? Its the only way people find out how to do things, you would have had to ask questions to in the beginning. If you dont want to help then simply dont reply to peoples quesiton. I'm struggling trying to run this game on mac, as i am new to mac, i have toast 8 which doesnt seem to work, i have burnt the game onto a dvd, etc and nothing seems to work, it just says the original "make sure original game cd is inserted" does matter if you are running an older version of mac oSX, 10.3?

woah tabmaster, get off ya high horse i wasnt complaining matey, i was merely pointing out that ALL possible info to get this to run is already here. and that people should read it before posting.
k so the system ver shouldnt make a difference. what kinda probs are you having with toast. the game should run if u install from the version u burnt n updated before running. if not have a look up there somewhere n u will find a link to a nocd that should help u (on a mac its a mini iso that u have to mount, not a fixed exe kinda thing)
you will probably have to keep the disk in also
have uninstall it lately so a bit hazy
lemme know how it goes hey
ps could be it wants to be on a cd (just a guess)

Hi there everybody,
I've just downloaded the file and like most of you I encounter problems.
I have burnt the dmg file on a DVD RW as I don't have any CDs.. and when I install the game from the DVD and then launch the game in my applications, there is still the same sentence "make sure original game cd is inserted".
I was wondering if I had to
Use a CD?
Update before burn the CD?
Mount the dmg file and not burn it with the original utility disc of my mac?
And then what do I have to do?
Please help me with that.

ok here's the method to use
1, burn image to cd (dvd if u want) also i used toast 8
2, install the game from the burnt disk
3, apply this patch http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/games/demos_updates/halocombatevolved.html
4, play the game.
now this works on my mac mini but the disk is in the drive (not too fussed about nocd cracks as it only checks the disk checksum to pass the security, not to read while playing)
im sure there is a no cd crack for ver 2.02 out there somewhere, but so far i haven't found a decent site for the mac like gamecopyworld.
if anybody knows of one let me know

um, how do you know it works if the keys don't
you need to input a key to install it..................
try serialbox
or if your trying to play online, go out and buy it

Works really well on my dual core, I just install, when I want to play i mount with Toast Titanium...
CD key from #10 wors well...
... but any idea to play online...? It tells me wrong CD key... Is there another one that I could use? Or is there another trick?

trying to play, but when I double click the game-icon it says it needs the original Halo CD even when I burned this universal.dmg to a CD.
So, do I really need the other CD as well?? You could have said that up front....
