* Anti-Virus: AVG.
> plutôt Avira classic (pour du gratuit)

* Firewall: Zone Alarm.
> lourd... mieux vaut un bon vieux routeur

* Anti-Spyware: HiJackThis.
> seul, je vois pas trop l'intérêt.. j'aurai mis AVG 7.5

* Music player: Winamp.
> foobar2000 est bien mieux

On a vu mieux comme pack!!

Meh i know you have good intentions BD - but unfortunatly all the programs you have listed are free anyway from the actual source sites. Which are much more likely to be virus/malware free, and cause less problems than from a less reputable source.

thanks BDTech will look forward to more stuff from you! ;)

Thank you for eliminating the hassle to go find these programs. Great having them "under one roof"

Guyz this really is a must have package. I already use every single software and it really is the best in its category. I just came here to comment on this and say thanks to BDTech. This is true. USE EM AND LIVE SIMPLE AND EASY >-)

What a waste of time. Its a good idea, in theory, but not so good in practice. Personal taste is so important in deciding these things, that a collection of these utilities is almost always useless ON THE WHOLE

11.Posted by infinite0101 on Feb 12 2008 at 21:25

Thanks!
I already have most of that stuff but for thoughs who don't have anything like that this is a good starter kit

Used to use AVG but found Avast is much better and does more. I like zone alarm but cant get it to work on Vista :X

Wow, this looks like a great torrent, for a lot of people. I won't download it because I already have all these programs or equivalents, but still, keep up the good work guys :)

hyjack this is usless on its own i would also strongly reccomed

spybot s&d (spyware scaner)
http://www.safer-networking.org/index2.html
(check out the advanced mode)

good in combination with addaware (ignore compatability warning its bull s%%%) (spyware scaner)
http://www.lavasoftusa.com/

then of course you need peerguardian (ip blocklist)
http://phoenixlabs.org/pg2/

or for a more secure but could be incompatable with your network card
protowall (ip blocklist)
http://www.bluetack.co.uk/forums/index.php

this is also convenient (active x blaclist, cookies)
http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html

then for advanced spyware removal among other things the sysinterals suite
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/default.aspx
(professional level of skill/help is strongly advised)

17.Posted by ifurn0 on Feb 13 2008 at 02:21

all free and legal ;)

but addaware has a pro version

AVG is terrible! It's heavy and it doesn't do it's job. Well intentioned, but frankly pointless.

Also...zone alarm? Are you serious? :+

I prefer ClamWin virus scanner to AVG. It's free & Open-Source!

WinAmp rox, Foobar2000 looks boring.

I use Sygate firewall. It's old, but it does the job I use it for, and that is to block software contacting the internet from my end without my permission. Something that windows firewall fails to do when programs allowed to freely give themselves permissions.

I'd also recomend 7Zip (it's open-source) instead of WinRAR.
