Having a problem with this 1. Everything unpacked ok with no probs of cause. But When I get to the point of installing the stated "AGEIA PhysX 6.10.25". I'm reminded that I have a more upto date version, AGEIA PhysX Version 7.07.09!.
It seems a little crazy to remove a more updated version of AGEIA PhysX (needed for another game) for an older 1 in order to run this 1.
Anyone know if it HAS to be this version or should the more updated 7.07.09 work ok?.
As the screen simply goes black and the back to the desktop\folder again!.

Did'nt think to update the Direct X to the latest as per readme file in the download. Done that as still get a black screen and back to folder!.
I know for sure it aint the spec of the pc:
1.86 duel core
4gb ram
768mb 8800GTX graphics card
There are other things in the #readme# folder. If they are needed I'm unsure of what to do with them as there is no instructions I can find on where they night be needed?.

Right so updated the DX-9c drivers to nov 07, installed AGEIA PhysX 6.10.25 over a MORE upto date version I had before (just in case this was the problem lol), just updated the Nvidia forceware for my 8800GTX to 169.21. Even though the official readme file for the game states forceware 158.22, this I guess was the lastest at that time?.
Anyone got any other suggestions on what I might try to get it going?.

Installed the files, does not work, stupid thing, now i cant get rid of it either. something dodgy about this file

I think this is a little big of an issue to how it was created m8!. If this dont work try the HATRED version as it seems fine for many. Well I did have a "E" path hdd which seemed to help on the HATRED release lol.

it`s crashing to the desktop every minute...isn`t worth of dl,besides that i couldn`t even install microsoft .net 2,it says REASON WINDOWS/SYSTEM32/ADVPACK.DLL

When I go run RailSim.exe and go to option and press "test"
it comes up saying "unsupported resoltion and multi sampling"
I have tried resolution for 800x600 and above and have quad core CPU

This installation is perfectly working.................i have accidentally deleted a file named Rail Simulator\RailSim.exe and hence now im unable to play the game.............. if ne1 can send me the file (which is hardly arnd 200kb) thru email ill be highly obliged.......my email id is chillpill_rohit@yahoo.co.in

i found a way for windows vista for moh you go onto cantral pannle the programs and features then find ageia click on it then click on uninstal then follow the step and after that install the game

Followed all the instructions but when i go to launch railsim.exe and click play it goes to black screen for a few seconds and then crashes to the desktop (as has been mentioned above). Can anybody help with this???
I've only just bought this laptop a week ago, running vista, 2ghz core 2 duo, Nvidia Geforce 9300M card, 3gb ram......
I'm sure the spec is ok, can anybody enlighten me a bit with how i can actually get this running?

Followed all the instructions but when railsim.exe launches all that appears is a black screen for a few seconds and it closes. Can anybody help with this? BTW, thanks for sharing.....

Is this the game\sim that was released retail oct 07?. As I love these train ones for some reason. Ah well gonna download it anyways as the last time I got 1 of these was a good 2 years ago and doubt this is that old lol.
