Thanks ! I won't have to RIOT now ! :-) It's funny this is exactly the film I was looking for, I click on the 'Riot' page and it's right there, the exact title I wanted to see ... next up "There will be blood" in a 2cd format, that would be awesome ! :-) Thanks for ur hard work, Riot and co.

Marc, I don't think I've ever done a release to fit on two CDs. I haven't measured my release sizes in CDs for a very long time - back then I only did one CD releases. I've been doing my releases in sizes that fit on DVDs (1/6, 1/4, 1/3).

Anyway, I don't have a copy of There Will Be Blood at the moment to encode and upload.

Awh ok, well, 1.4gb, that would be 1/3 DVD I guess ! Since it's a very long movie, over 2 and a half hours, I would be looking for bigger files for that one. A 1/6 DVD would be good for short films, 90 minutes ... 1/4 for 2 hour films, 1/3 for 2 and a half hours or more, that's what I usually try to get. Thanks for "No country" Riot, I'll get it later tonight. :-)

Marc, you can use [url=http://bunkus.org/videotools/mkvtoolnix/downloads.html]mkvmerge[/url] to split matroska files to fit x many CDs. In this case the second CD will only be ~40 megs, but it's better than nothing if you don't have any blank DVDs.

Just drag the matroska file into mkvmerge GUI, go to the global tab, enable splitting, after size 700M, start muxing.
