I have a quick question...
I have tried converting about 5 movies now from .AVI to DVD and no matter what I do I keep getting freezes and half of movies burnt. I am not sure what I am doing wrong.. any help would be really appreciated. Here are my computer specs..
Intel core 2 6300 @1.86Ghz
2 gigs of ram
I usually don't have anything running in the converting or burning process.

thank you for the patch, i downloaded the actual setup from the main site because i thought i might be able to get away with it seen as i cracked the last version. im naive, i know 
however i find that this converts+burns really slow. on previous versions its takes about an hour and a half to two hours, however its taken 2 hours to convert, with another hour of burning.
id say if your pc is quite slow like mine, stick with the earlier versions.

yeh i have same problem samsGFX.
this seems alot slower than winavi and also,almost every thing i burn with convertx ends up being about 2 secs out of sync with audio.
ive looked it up on google and it seems to be a on going problem.

I simply don't understand what it means to "copy Patch file into the program directory which is usually C:\Program Files\VSO\ConvertX\3"
How exactly do I copy the patch? And what do I do?

Hi, What you do is:
Go to downloads and click on patch file.
Highlight the file and click on "edit" and "copy"
1. Go to "Windows Explorer"
Click on "C:" drive
Click on "program files"
Find the folder that says "VSO" and open it.
Click in amongst the files listed there
Then go to "edit" and selected "paste"
It will then come up with a message saying do you wish to overwrite the current file.
Select "Yes"
Job done.

Hey BTGuy, you are the best !! I have been using most of your software and indeed uploaded a lot of them to thank you.
But this Beta version (3.0.0.1) had many bugs and a new public non-beta version just came out today (ConvertXtoDVD 3.0.0.7) March 19th. I really hope you can work on it very soon since it repaired bugs with the aspect ratio, *.mkv delay problem with audio, and a lot more...
I hope you upload ConvertXtoDVD v3.0.0.7 (or higher if you have some contacts 
) as soon as possible please, I can't wait to burn *.mkv's (like .avi but for HD videos) to DVD.

TO MY2CENTS ok hunni this is wot i did open my computer then local disc c,then program files.the look for the vso folder and open it.there should be a folder that says ConvertX and in that says 3 open it.once you have done that u will se lots of things well drag your patch into that.it will say do u want to over rite it or replace it one of the two.click yes.then your done hunni.hope it helps

Hey Guys, think that i am being really stupid(not very computer friendly) however i cant seem to actually convert anything. When i drag a film over, and click on convert it keeps coming up with..."one or more files cant be converted. See the log for details".And the log states...."unrecoverable error whilst reading". as for people having problems when they open and it states it's a trial version.
...Do not copy and paste the "patch folder" instead actually open the patch folder and copy and paste the file that's located there. Then when you copy and paste it in the directory
C:\Program Files\VSO\ConvertX\3
and there you have it, it works!
I was having the same problem but I got it so heres my 2 cents

To all those people who cant work out the crack:
Copy the files in the patch folder.
Go to the icon of convertxtodvd.
Right click and go to properties.
Then press find target.
Paste the files into the folder that opens.
When it asks to replace folders, click yes.
Voilla!!!!!
Hope it works for you, took me months to figure out i was copying it into the wrong folder! duh!

alright folks..i realize I'm a total newbie but i've uninstalled and reinstalled this twice and can NOT for the life of me figure out what I'm doing wrong!
Okay..so i've gone to program files/convertx/3 and opened that.
Then I opened the patch file and dragged it into the other (3) file.
I still don't get the overwrite question adn when i open it, it's the trial version....

How fantastic is this program? I downloaded a movie that was in MP4 format and could not get it to load in my CyberLink DVD making program. This program not only converted it to DVD but also made a beautiful animated menu and everything, replete with my choice of menu music. Fabulous. Thank you for sharing.

OK I am having a really annoying issues right now...I have used convertxtodvd for awhile now and when my computer got a virus I had to reinstall it. Well now when I try to convert tv shows like for eps to a disk it only burns the first one. It never does that and I am wondering how I can fix that. If anyone can help me that would be great.
