Yes. I'm new to macs, so I don't know how to fix it. I deleted livetype, then went ahead and restarted the installer. Then I unchecked the livetype content, but still allowed the livetype application to install again.
I'm currently downloading the german version to see if i can get the livetype disk 2 working from that. I'll let you know how it goes...

I can CONFIRM that the Livetype Media 2 dmg from the german version IS working!

Right, so I found out how to make it work. FTR, I am running this on a Macbook Pro 2.2 128VRAM.

If you install Final Cut Studio 2 after having installed Logic Studio, the option to install Final Cut Pro may be dimmed so that it is not possible to install Final Cut Pro. Other applications can be installed.
This particular issue specifically occurs on systems on which Logic Studio has already been installed.
Products Affected
Final Cut Studio 2, Logic Studio
Resolution
Take the following steps to resolve this issue:
If it is still running, quit the Final Cut Studio Installer.
In Finder, navigate to /Library/Receipts/.
Locate the file named ProMediaIO.pkg and drag it to the Trash.
Run the Final Cut Studio Installer again.

I am new to macs and I just finished downloading and seeding this torrent, my question is when installed it I can't open any of the applications, the only thing that happens is a gray box pops up and it keeps asking for my name, org, and serial number so I put my information in and it tries to start up but then nothing happens. Has anybody had this happen to them or have any advise.

I have tried deleting all of the receipts twice and re-install the program again, but it still brings up the gray box asking for my name, org, and serial number. Then it acts like it will open and it won't do a thing. Does anyone know a solution to this problem.

What OS are you running? What are your specs?
Make sure you meet the minimum requirements

You might be able to install it with out the right spec but it sure wont run without them.
If you do meet the min. spec requirement let me know and ill see if i can further research this.

Try going to this file and trash it. When you open FCP again it'll automatically create a new fresh pref file.

So i got past the bad Hashfails. Seems that i only had a couple of people who i was downloading from. So i turned off the torrent and waited an hour then turned it back on.

If you keep getting the Licensing Dialog that asks you to input your serial everytime you start an application, this should help. You just have to navigate to
/Library/Application Support/ProApps/
and then replace the FINAL CUT STUDIO SYSTEM ID file with the one in the folder. I would suggest you backup you original file fIrst.
ALSO to the user requesting info on downloading each file individually, it depends on the torrent client, some allow it some do not.. Azureus provides for this, I dont know about others.
ALSO: the speed at which you download is not only dependent upon peers and your available bandwidth, but the routers people use and the router settings play a big role in speed. IF you see slow speeds, simply disconnect your router and connect directly to the internet and see if you notice a difference.
Other than that, have at it, this program kicks ass, esp. when it lacks a 1300 dollar price tag...

If your upload speed is faster, your download speed will be faster!
OF COURSE you can seed WHILE you are downloading! You can even help BEFORE you finish! Who do you think that upload speed is helping? Once you have finished you need do NOTHING! You will begin seeding! AND your seeding will not affect the dlspeed of the next file you are downloading!

But there is a PROBLEM...The LIVETYPE MEDIA 2.DMG is not working!!!!!
I did everything to get this working but only appears the message "file not recognized".
I erased and re-download the file, but happens the same thing again.
If someone have a solution, please, send to us...I think I'm not the only one with this problem and If someone help, will help more people.

When buring these to DVD does each label for each dvd have to be the image name or anything special?? I tried burning them by just calling them dvd1 - dvd2 etc , but when installing it asks for say - "Audio Content 1" and it just spits the dvd back out which is labeled dvd2.
any help would be great as I have all the .dmg files downloaded now but just cant get it installed...

I downloaded the Final Cut Sudio.dmg file only, installed it, and when prompted to insert other disks, I canceled the installation. That way, I ended up having the applications but without the additional data. It seems to works. I'm continuing to download the rest of the dmg files.

DO NOT UPDATE AFTER INSTALL!
I installed - everything worked perfectly. Now after the automatic system update, It crashes. will not boot at all.
I ran the FCS_Remover http://www.digitalrebellion.com/fcs_remover.htm , then re-installed and still no luck.
Anyone know how to remove the library/system updates ? Or how to fix this problem? I am desperate to get this working for a class project!!! Please help!

fixed my own problem. after hours of searching. found a similar error was fixed by updating Application Enhancer. I had never heard of it, but apparently updates framework relating to this and many other apps. I updated to 2.5 and now my clean re-install 6.0 fcp works once more.
Id love to hear if anyone else was able to download and install the updates - what the procedure was!

Look for an app called "AppZapper".
Use this to delete any Mac software. It will take away all your .plist files and everything associated with the prog you're trying to delete.
Just beware that it WILL also delete your setup files (the ones that took you yonks to download!) So be sure to un-tick that in the list of stuff you want "zapped" before you zap!
And to the folks asking if this will work on Windows gear ... get real! This is the big leagues of video production. This is Mac stuff. Go buy a Mac if you want to play with the big boys.

Hey folks, first of all thanks to the uploader, great dl. Took 6 days to dl but worth it. Its true the livetype media 2 file is'nt recognized, so just uncheck that from this dl and then dl the torrent from post 15(only the livetype media 2 part) obviously. Works Great. Thanks Again Uploader

basically i just installed final cut studio first, then i mounted each file when it asked to put cd in and then it automatically starts install for that cd. for the german language, do what he said in post 15( overwrite it)

YES - everything works!!! (if you download the LT2 disc from the other torrent as posted in comment 15) get it and start kicking ass!
just do NOT allow any of the software updates to get installed (2 for ProApps & 1 for Plugin Manager)

When I start the installation of Final Cut Studio (the disk), it tells me all the software it's gonna install and says that it's gonna install the content 1 and 2 of livetype for instance... so, if it says it's gonna do it, is it then necessary to clic on the other disk to install the content completely or everything will be done?

I have now successfully updated everything! Ran 2 series of software updates and updated like 10+ packages. Individual software updates, DVDSP, CT, ST, FCP, COLOR, etc etc etc, as well as the Plugin Manager, and ProApps updates.
I am now running FCP 6.05 and the entire suite completely up to date.
I did a clean install, and update before even opening the applications, using this 6.04/.05 serial I found on TPB in some of the comments on a different version of the torrent:

When I click on "Compressor" nothing appears.... it's open but there is no window.... something wrong or not?
With "COLOR" there are two windows in the background and one in front that tells me to choose a folder.... so until I have a project I can't access the program?
