yup, but this patch didnt work for me. I can get into jerusalem, but everytime the game tries to save, it crashes. And there are also these very annoying sound loops/echoes.

Yes it works fine for me. I can go to jerusalem with no problems. There is only one thing I have problem with. Even I copy the "DataPC_StreamedSoundeng.forge" and rename it to "DataPC_StreamedSoundrus.forge" I have whole game in russian language... What I'm doing wrong?

Anyone else have game freezes? I have pretty high end machine I just built and runs Crysis and Quake Wars and whatever pretty well.. I have a 8800GTX.
But with Assasins Creed, it seems I'll be running or walking or whatever and it just freezes. I can do a CTL ALT DEL and end it, but kind of stinks. Seems I can play for like 15 to 20 mins or so and then it freezes. I thought it might be heat so I took the whole side of the case off, but still no luck.
I read that the PS3 version of this had freezes too, but I don't know if that transferred to PC or not...
Just wondered if anyone was having issues... besides the Jerusalem thing.

How to deal with the game freezes.. Don't copy the old "DataPC_StreamedSoundeng.forge" and don't rename it... leave there the original russian version... You won't have the english voices but the game will run with no freezes and no sound lags... Thats worked for me

This is scary, ubisoft had some problems like this in splinter cell double agent. Its a shame because the game looks really nice.

I've just tested it out dfa pointed out that the sounds loop/echoes. This is true. Had this problem twice, sort of grows on you. Cause everyone starts looping until u get a certain distance away from them. Insanly annoying and will give u a headache. I'm gonna wait for a true proper.
I've also heard that this fix might not work on xp, only vista. Either way in the current state its in I'd reccomend waiting for a true proper. You might not experience these glitches (dought it), so I'll still leave this torrent open

Well, I can enter Jerusalem now, except my whole game is now in Russian, including the text but it still says "italian" in the registry entry...what now?
I'd rather skip the Jerusalem missions with the savegame than playing the whole thing in Russian...

i'm deleting everything from assassins creed right now. those releases are just ****up.! don't think someone likes a game where everyone is talking russian? and why should you use a save game? don't you wanna play the whole game without errors?
i'm just waithing a month. enough other games I can play for that time.

it's a really dodgy fix. it converts your whole game to russian (hence needing to backup your game folder!) so you can play Jerusalem which for some reason was a good version in Russia 
Either way Jerusalem is rubbish in Russian, I'm playing it now and if it weren't for the little icons on the map I would have *no* idea where I'm going, the assassination should be fun without knowing how to attack....
Don't get this fix unless you really really want to play Jerusalem...it ruins the whole area otherwise

if you follow the instructions it will only cause you echoing voice of english, lag, and sound crash, sometimes the translation becomes blured. so i suggest if you want to finish it stick to russian until you finsh jerusalem. dont rename DataPC_StreamedSoundseng to ***rus or it will only cause echoes

if you have played Masyaf,Acre,Damascus for many hours i think you will memorize the keys and intstruction plot,even if its russian you still can play it because you already know wheres the (for example : exit,continue,options,etc.)

No, it didn't work for me either. Crashes everytime during the initial loader. So I went back to the original PROCYON version I downloaded earlier. It kinda su*cks its NUKED by tampering eith a level file.
The save fix, which brings you directly to memory packet 4 = the RAR file was empty for me, eventhough it had like 10 KB it was empty, tryed to make hidden files visible, but still nothing. Have to look around for a different version maybe.
Will definitelly download the GOLD release, since I like this game very much, I just go around provoking fights with the guards and than simply escape or throw them form rooftops )

The file installs, I follow all the directions, but when I run the game nothing happens. My old folder that I copied still works of course, but that does not fix my problem of not being able to zone into Jerusalem. Russian or not I believe I could deal with it.

there has to be a file somewhere in the instalation directory that allows u to switch the language... ive been trying to look for it for a bit know, it usually is changed by making a 0 into a 1 for english... thats what its like for alot of games, ie crysis, call of duty 4 etc. hope this helps

Anyone else having trouble with the controls? I followed the instructions and reached Jerusalem with the English sounds, but some of the controls didn't work. The shift and space bar buttons (default actions - I didn't change them - So shift = dismount horse.. etc. spacebar = free running/sprint) didn't work. I couldn't free run or dismount from my horse.
Also the Right Mouse button worked a little bit differently.
Anyone have any clue how to fix that?

just complete every task. the game does not have a save option.. just finish every task or speak with the bureau leader in that city and you can exit the game..

play jerusalem right? finish and assassinate the leader then go speak with the bereau leader in jerusalem. then after he finish talking to you ,go to the exit door of the building, there will be a memory fast forward.. and then you will be teleported to Masyaf and speak with AL mualim(this will happen only if you have finished the 1st stage of Acre, before going to Jerusalem)
Then when you are at Masyaf,exit the game and click on the Assassin Creed dx9 or dx10 english file. then press continue.you will be at MAsyaf already.

by the way you must first exit the animus before exiting the game.. and be sure to finish the task first or the game won't be saved.

After entering Jerusalem in russian i noticed some of my controls have bugs..and lags.. anyway,the language is all russian,sometimes there is no voice on the person u are talking there.but all the people are russian language. Now after finishing and killing the leader u will go back to the beareu leader in jerusalem. then you will be teleported to the office of the DOctor.then u will exit the animus, now exit the game and play the english version at the desktop. click the folder where you recently paste it and open the file and click dx9 or dx10 ,then it will open to english, then continue.

remember that assassins creed must have a copy of the 6gb file from program files to the desktop so that you will have the russian and an english program.
Click the Assassin creed dx9 or dx10 to start the progrm. works on xp

After installing this patch, this is what you get:
- You CAN enter Jerusalem
- ALL TEXT becomes Russian
- People in game speak Russian, but SOMETIMES English. WHEN they speak English, the sound loops, IE: "What's he doing?! ing ing ing ing ing ing ing"
- When saving, the game might crash
- SOMETIMES your keys don't work, IE: you can't jump or mount a horse
CONCLUSION:
This "patch" sux big time.
OPTIONS:
- Wait for a REAL CRACKED version of the game
- Play Jerusalem with very annoying bugs and language
- Keep playing AC without entering Jerusalem and start collecting some flags!

Keep in mind that you need to assassinate 3 persons in jerusalem (3 different missions)...the game is quite repetitive so i decided to play in russian and kill whoever I needed to kill, finish the mission, exit jerusalem and switch back the game in english...
I guess it wasn't a big deal about the scenario but I think I'm in the last mission of the game...who sets in jerusalem too...
I advise you guys to wait for a better release, I'm angry because I missed some part of the history and even more because I won't be able to understand the ending of the game :/

I downloaded and installed the recent Visual c++2008. No more crashes for me . Hope it works for you guys aswell

I have no language problem as i suppose it was from an english version and i can play it in french without any problem. I think that you don't need to copy the .opt file if you want to keep your settings, i used my own.

Don't try to fix it, wait till april 8,(Unless you speak Russian) reasons:
-You need to go to Jerusalem 3 times. ( Third is the last level )
-It will crash and lag lots of times.
-You may kill yourself like I did (No I didn't) after crashing.

Don't even bother with this. I tried using it twice, and after both times, Assassins creed would crash be 4 i even got into the game This is not even a fix really, just a temporary way to delay for a REAL fix for Jerusalem. Take my advice and
1.Wait for the retail version to be released

I will tell u all that i am now playing Jerusalem and all in english and i will upload a video showing that
i downloaded the patch and played it all in russian and then removed the game (uninstall) without removing saved games and i installed it again , used the reloaded crack and also installed vc2008 from this link

this DOES work if you want to get in Jerusalem but EVERYTHING and i repeat EVERYTHING will be in Russian and in my case the sounds looped also.
I suggest you not to download and wait for an official release and then get a proper fix.

what kind of comp do u have spideremin?cuz maybe u have a good graphics card and it wored for u,i have a radeon xt 1650 pro 256 mb of ram on it,and i could only play everything on low settings,so that might be the reason it worked for u,and can u upload the video and giveus all a link please and thankss

the AC_ENG_to_RUS.exe file is working, and yes, you can enter Jerusalem. However, when you continue with the other stepps, the results will not be as desireable. For me it mixes the russian and the english, and any time i want to talk to somebody it freezes, and I have to restart the computer.
What I did is quite simple. I simply didn't change the russian files to english. it's true, that now everything is in russian, but after playing this much it's not hard to learn the basics and quickly get through Jerusalem. after you got out, you can use the english again.

For enyone that wont's to know where the saves are. First you have to enable Show hidden files and folders. Open eny window and go to TOOLS - FOLDER OPTIONS - VIEW and enable SHOW HIDDEN FILES AND FOLDERS. Then go to C:\Documents and Settings\"Your computer name"\Application Data\Ubisoft... and you will find the rest. I hope I helped.

Have a directory in MYLANGUAGE, for the overall game, and another with the Russian Fix, that I launch only when I need to go to Jerusalem.
No wait for the installing fix, coz you have to return 3 times to Jerusalem... but 6Go less on the disk^^

I had the same pbl with the story of the "DataPC_StreamedSoundeng.forge" in "DataPC_StreamedSoundrus.forge", the sound and the game crashed... So I left the real one of Russian sounds when I need Jerusalem, now there's no troubles. Anyway, it will be off, it translate only the passers dialogues, it's useless.
Just to be sure : you must make the crack before you start the fix^^

This game will still crash randomly because it's not the finished version. This is most likely a late developers build that was leaked to the Internet. I'm guessing PROCYON and RELOADED knew this but either didn't care, or just tried to pass it off as "Good Enough". I'm not complaining either way because it's still playable with this "Fix". I'm able to play through the game but still get random crashes as stated above. To play the Jerusalem level you're going to have to play it in Russian. I find that it adds some authenticity to the game simply because I don't speak or understand Russian so it might as well be Hebrew or any language. The menu's are in Russian as well but if you played up to Memory Block #3 you'll be able to figure out how to start the game regardless. Props to the original poster.

The way the poster of the Fix describes being able to play in English, doesn't work. Part of it is English and part Russian but you'll hear a lot of reverb from voices and it will crash a lot more than normal. Here's how I got it to work. Read my comment below.

#1 Install either the RELOADED or PROCYON English Release and apply the no DVD crack. For the people with the PROCYON release search Mininova for it.
#2 Copy the whole Assassins Creed Directory to a place on your HD. Then rename it Assassins Creed English. Move it back to C:\Program Files\Ubisoft just to keep it somewhat organized and together with the other installation.
#3 Download and install Assassins Creed Jerusalem Fix to your original A.C. directory. It should automatically find it by itself. Be patient as it may take up to 15 minutes depending on you PC and HD speed. At times it may look like the installation has stalled but it hasn't, just wait.

Let's see now, I still don't hear anything when people speak which is a problem I've had since installing the game, my game still crashes periodically which is also from game install, my background music and sound effects almost don't work at all which is from this patch, and now all of the text is Russian and my game is incredibly laggy.
My Assassin's Creed experience has been officially ruined by these ripped copies and backwards cracks.

hey all i got aprobleme with the patch. when i start its, i pres on the button to coninue(in a strange language) and now i chosse where i wanna put the file, i click on the button o installa and... its say something i dont understand in the strange language and i cant install the patch

I understand the whole proces>>>
1) Copy/Paste the entire Assassin’s Creed directory to anywhere you want [IE : Copy it to desktop and rename it AC ENG)
2) Apply the AC_ENG_to_RUS.exe patch to your C:\Ubisoft\Assassin’s Creed Directory
3) Delete the “DataPC_StreamedSoundrus.forge” file
4) Copy DataPC_StreamedSoundfre.forge [for English Version it’s DataPC_StreamedSoundeng.forge or something like that] and paste it where was the file you deleted before [DataPC_StreamedSoundrus.forge]
Until step 4)
Cuz were can i find DataPC_StreamedSoundfre.forge

Here it is. (drum roll)
The russian patch fixes it. If you replace the streamedsoundrus with streamedsoundeng, you will cause major crashes. Don't do it.
Either play in russian, or check out this link.

google datapc.forge to find it otherwise. The forum is kinda ****, so change the view and look at the individual posts.
It has the datapc_jerusalem forge, DataPC_Arsuf.forge files and also the datapc.forge files. These are the corrupted files that cause jerusalem to crash. Read the first post, and the one towards the end. I hate ********** too, but deal with it.
If you are unable to find the links, post and ill put them up.

it was ok for me... I did the patch thing... but the game turned to RUS, i did what i had to do in jerusalem and then i re-installed the game... and it turned to eng back... its the best or the only thing we can do if the game starts to play in russian... but i heard that just soon they will release a eng fix for this sh t. so far: nothing done; 'til there: play with this trick.

hey ppl u want the whole game to be in english? jus download the english patch from here http://www.mininova.org/tor/1562844
and don't forget to download the 7z rar software from here http://www.7-zip.org/
extract the files using this software and jus replace them in the assassins creed folder

Okay. I'm confused. I used the reminder of my downloads getting this file. WHY DOESN'T IT WORK?!?! I followed the instructions exactly.... FAIL. So i fiddled myself with no progress. The issue i getting is that text and in game voices remain in russian. Does anyone have a solution for this?

Huzzah! Fixed the voices. Now for my next problem. I understand that you wrote in the description and i quote "IF UR IN Jerusalem DONT ****ING WHINE CAUSE IT CRASHED ON YOU OR ANY OTHER CITY" but that doesn't make up for the fact it crashes when you try complete a critical mission goal by having a conversation with someone and it locks up! Is there a fix for this apart from buying the actual game or downloading a new torrent? P.S. Did you actually test this torrent before you uploaded it???

i hv d Solution here..just finish d jerusalem mission by downloading dis torrent which fr me workd perfectly fine,though thrs a lang. problm bt tt would hardly effect as u must b used 2 d game uptill now.After finishing jerusalem,let ur progress b saved,and thn reinstall d game without deleting ur saved files.The game would start from ur saved progress with the original database and Language. Njoyyyyy....

i'm afraid the best way to play in jerusalem is playing with russian.
i got some crashes when trying to replace english stream forge file.
skipped those steps, just converting the language, i mean apply the file you downloaded from this torrent on the whole AC directory and play afterward in russian.
whenever you want to return to jerusalem you have to play in russian.
