Well, the chinese page it came from looks legit.
I registered on the chinese page (wow that took forever, I don't speak chinese, but they tend to keep the built-in english links in their sites, so you can somewhat naviagte) and it prompted me to download this same torrent file.

oh man.. you are at the beginning of quite a long journey. no my friend daemon tools is of no use to you here.. you need a PSP, then do a search for dark alex custom firmware. research and research some more. it's a process, an easy one really, but soooo worth it.

psp/pandoras battery/m33 3.90-2 is all you really need, unless you have an obese psp before 3.50 firmware, then you can use the lumines exploit instead of a pandoras battery!

you have to know some details below:
a. main seeding server and seeds almost in china so you may be slow
b. it is US version because there is no offical chinese version psp and its games selling in mainland,china ..
c. can run on 3.73M33-4 above dont know else
d. it first came out at www.cngba.com , a chinese gamers fan site
e. thousand ppl are seeding !

Dudes, it's your lousy net connections that make you d/l at 1kbps or so or it's the firewall that doesn't let your bittorrent program to d/l at full speed, or you have lots of torrents in download, or you messed up the Connection settings... I have 20! torrents in d/l and 13 in upload and get a steady 30 kbps average speed from this torrent with 1798 seeders!! . I use Utorrent 1.7.7.

Speed on this torrent is excellent been downloading for 1 hour and getting 775Kb/s constant. Make sure you open up all your connections as XP will restrict these as standard. See any P2P site for guides. I did this and my PC goes like a bomb on 8MB Broadband. Many thanks to the uploader on this one, been waiting for ages...

Tip to anyone playing this do not crunch the ISO as the game will slowdown and it kinda spoils it. Plays perfect when ISO is untouched...

Level 7 yo_man I tend to set it to this so you don't get any slowdown. You can go to level 9 but haven't tried. If you compress the files too much you get probs. Hope this helps. You can get the latest version of yacc from PSP Hacks

Thanks knowlesy... I always used to compress the games using Level 8 and all compressed games at this level worked/still work fine up until now on my 3.90 M33-2. I'll see if it's better to leave GoW as .iso or maybe it'll work just fine .cso-ed. Thanks for the heads up about the .cso compression (possible) slowdown!

Dammit, the game won't save properly...
Right after saving it displays the date of the savegame as "0/0/0" and the size as "- KB"...what the hell?
When I attempt to load the game it just says no data found...
Also, when the game is creating the save data it doesn't take as long as usual but almost instantly creates the data...
Any suggestions? My PSP is running on 3.90 M33, and this is the first game I'm having problems like these with...

Saves work fine now...I updated to 3.90 M33-2 and set the "Fake region" option from "Disabled" to "America" in the custom firmware menu...
I don't know if it was the M33-2 update or the fake region option that fixed it, but all I know is that saving works like a charm now

The game works fine. It is the U.S. version, so it's in English. It is the full game w/everything included. The ISO when put on your PSP is 1532MB, so have a big stick! The saves work, everything works, this is on
3.90 M33-2. Enjoy!! I've been playing for a few hours and there hasn't been a single hiccup. I'll keep seeding (2.1GBs so far) until Crisis Core.

i dont wanna sound like a hypocrite here because im downloading the game also.. but im doing it because i have to wait few more weeks for it to come out here and just cant wait. but im going to buy it... i urge all the people here to buy this game also and help it become a success so that more developers feel encouraged to create games as fantastic as this....you may not see a point in buying games and supporting the hardworking people who make them, but do this for yourself.... in order for you to get more great games like this you have to buy them when they do arrive.... this game deserves it.

yeah this games real. i agree with the wannabe mclovin. its always cool to get the game early or for free...but i would recommend buying the actual game when it comes out. i love piracy but i also understand that it does hurt game sales... bottom line - download now but do buy the game later. game quality could definitly be hurt in the future if the right guys making the games arent getting payed. pirate music lol those mother f(_)ckers are rich as f(_)ck already

I actually reserved this game back in September at Gamestop. I picked up my copy today after I received their disturbing robot phone call, even though I downloaded it last night/early this morning.
