patch does not work in vista. it modifies memory locations in the setup program, which vista does not like.
solution, install in windows xp and copy the folder across.
if no have xp, install an earlier version which does not use this patch.

My Virus scanner shows that the patch.exe is infected with a Trojan !! rest all files are fine ...

Followed the instructions to the T, but they don't work. At least not on Vista. You cannot install without the password and the patch is only good for after the install I suppose?

Kaspersky doesn't find any viruses!

dmn's method works, but it doesn't fully integrate into the shell. I am sure some registry work though will fix this
