Quick question.If you have some viruses etc in quarantine is it safe to click on the remove button.Does that get rid of the problem for good or could it crop back up in my system again

Bluescotty what i done was right click on the patch that i DL then copy then i opened the SD file location and pasted it there.I then ran the patch from the DL folder not the SD one and then it asks for folder location of file which you find and then hit ok and all is done.

it might help ZAXOZ if after installing and before copying or applying the patch to disable or shut down spy doctor as it is running in systray or by ending the program using task manager, then follow the instructions of the uploader.

Thanks for your efforts in trying to help me!! I'm usually pretty good at doing this but this one seems to be doing my head in Im the same as Zaxos. I've even tried disconnecting the internet and then choosing the SD folder to patch the file in but it insists that it can't open it! Even shutting down the SD program doesn't seem to help. What a shame, this program seems to be exactly what I need. I have pop-ups galore that no other program seems to be able to stop. I will not give up on this. (YET!!!)

OMG, I got it to work! Zaxos, try shutting the program down completely by right clicking on the icon in the tray down the bottom and clicking disable. I didn't have to disconnect the internet. See how you go! THANKS AGAIN....

After installing, I shutdown the PC doctor and then copy and paste patch in c;/programmfile/syware doctor. then i run patch exe. It says crack ok but status is aborted and then when i run spyware it says trial version.
Please let me know what am i doing wrong.

Thanks alot to HeartBUg and others helping people. I've got same problem as the last couple, I put the Patch in the SD folder and installed it and it said it was cracked. But it still says trial version, so I went back and filled in the text box but it just says 'bad bytes' then 'aborted'. SD was completely shut down when I did them. Any ideas? Complete reinstall making sure I fill in the text box next time?

The patch works ok. Follow instructions below.
(1) disconnect from internet. (2) Install program. (3) Cancel scans (4) Stop program in icon tray (5) Copy and paste patch from folder into program file (c/program files/spyware doctor) then open patch type in a name and click patch box (6)Close program file. (7)Reconnect to internet and start program
It is important to stop the program in the icon tray or the patch wont work.

This works great...EXCEPT...Every time I use the smart update the program reverts to a trial version. I can disable the service and reinstall the patch and it is fine again, but that is incredibly annoying! Any idea about what I might have done wrong, if anything at all?

Stopped connection, stopped SD, and then patched.
It scans ok and removes pests and then flashes a comment box that commuter requires a restart. When I restart commputer it reverts to trial and I need to patch again.
Any ideas anyone?

I think, company is now aware of patch thats y they may send fix for this patch in update but again applying patch, will force it to work. :-)

I found out that if you download the update named (Spyware Doctor info 532.39 kb) it will revert to trial (DO NOT DOWNLOAD) Correct me if by doing that I'm wrong please. Thanks for the program and the patch anyways.

you have to re-install the program. the once you ahve that done dis-connect from the internet. but you have to make sure that you have the program completely shut down. then apply the patch then re-connect to the internet and restart the program after youhave the patch re-applied.

step one install the program and update it.
step 2 afterthe update shut down the program
step 3 dis-connect from the internet but you have to make sure the program is completely shut down.
step 4 open the folder then apply the patch and open the patch and put in a name.
step after you have done step 4 and the patch has been applied close the folder.
step 6 after you have done all the first 5 steps re-connect to the internet. and restart the program and you are set to go you are ready to start using the program.

This WORKS 100% !!!
Just do EXACTLY what post #66 says !!!
1. install the Spyware Doctor installer
2. cancel the attemp scan.

This has nothing to do with the upload its something with my pc. I keep getting pctssvc.exe Application Error and PCTSGUI.exe Application error. the crack worked fine but I cant open it cause I keep getting that GUI Error.

well i just replaced NOD32 wiv KAV and KAV requires that u remove this ap in order to install KAV.
the good thing i like about spywaredoctor, is that it cleaned out 20+ spyware everyday from my PC
KAV doesnt have that kind of feature, i miss this ap soo much

yup it seems that patched as been countered.. even if u follow the steps in the readme file and also the step to uncheck the spyware info on the update everthing will seem fine and dandy after u update, but after you restart your computer your program will revert back to trial no matter what

With the increase in number of installed softwares, computer becomes slow. Specially when u install any type of security cuz it always run and use system resources. When u open a program, these security reads all info of that software from reg and all binaries. Simple get a system with good ram and processor speed but do not forget to check mother-board compatibility. some time you have enough ram and processor but mother-board does not support fully.

to everybody who keeps getting sd reset to trial subscription: uninstall, reinstall, update (this time only check the item with a note pad next to it, i think its called "spyware doctor database". uncheck absolutely everything else including "upgrade" and "update", close program after update, apply patch, run as fully licensed.
there is some item in the update that negates the crack and resets it to trial version. until somebody finds a workaround, i think this is the best solution. worked for me.

Patch only works for first clean , after that, you cant fix infected, have to uninstall and reinstall and re apply crack, to clean, one update will work , i guess the auto update's after, is what effects the crack, comment from Asswipe44 above is most likely the best way to keep it cracked, ONLY DOWNLOAD THE SPYWARE DOCTOR DATABASE UPDATE FILE , UN TICK EVERYTHING ELSE

HEARTBUG - this is clearly NOT UPDATEABLE so why call it so...???
it resets to trial after update - bolox to have to MANUAL UPDATE and cross off boxes - if I wanted just a scanner I would download the FREE VERSION (STARTER EDITION) which removes threats and has real-time protection just not all shields...

Hey snadge bag..don't insult heartbug...he's the man. I had same problem until i realized that when list of updates comes up, there is a spydoctor info file that if checked is the reason it resets to trial. So uncheck it.....then apologize to heartbug for being such a DUNCE.

Guys When u update make sure you only Update the Text Files Call the Defination files, Thats all you really need. The other stuff will make it reset to trial or mess it up.

All these ****s by heartbug are not working. I have one spyware doctor that is working perfectly alright but not by heartbug by me. It's never expires. Not a trial.

Did i force any body to use my uploads? sure, not. I upload if worked for me, then u people get it. if people like GhostAce do not wanna use, do not use. If u do not trust me, get it from some one else. People like u will never courage to share what u have. The only thing i`ve found,that i dont think has been mentioned.If your running vista open patch with administrator.Also if it doesnt install,run a reg cleaner before ya re-attempt.You can update everything but not( sd info). Well at least thats what i`ve found.

tanks......d only prblm i faced was during updation.........so do as said in 100.(only check the item with a note pad next to it.......rest all should b unchecked)....now update and b done wid it...........tnks 4 all comments nd special tanks 2 heartbug

I get the problem that every time I restart my PC the prog is back in Trial mode and not registered ...

Everything seemed fine, even with the patch. But, why does it hang each time I try to update. Since it's the 1st time updating & I need to run the "Smart Update", it always hangs. Why is that so?

I downloaded the torrent and it will not allow me to open the sdsetup.exe file. What do I open it with? Do i need something else to open it up with because it says its a BC file... What is that? Could someone let me know what I need to do to open it correctly?

Nevermind works fine just had to download with Bit Comet. Works properly no viruses. Wish I had the virus checker included though.

Guys I get everything about installing and stuff but I don't get hte patch thing at all. Here's my problem.
1) Installed
2) Disconnected internet and program
3) Copied patch into installation directory
4) OPened it up and typed a name but when i click CRACK IT it says I have to go to a specific folder.
5) This is where I'm confused I don't know where to go.

2)copy the crack to C:\Program Files\Spyware Doctor
3)restart
4)go back to C:\Program Files\Spyware Doctor

installed dc from inet, unchecked auto update, stopped scan, reebooted, ran patch, installed to folder programfiles/sd, cracked fine, ran update. bobs your uncle.

I am a newbie and it took me a while to get this thing to work, here's what I did. I had to uninstall and reinstall it because i had already messed-up before, you need a clean slate and get it right the first time or it will not work...
1.Disconnected from the internet.
2. Install the program, uncheck install updates automatically then shut it down in the system tray once it begins doing the scan.
3. Open up the Patch folder, Type in any name in the Register to: box.
4. Click on the crack button, when it makes you choose a folder, go to C drive> program files>Spyware Doctor then click ok. It SHOULD say crack on or ok, something like that, if it worked.
5. Connect back to the internet and restart the program.
It should now say that the subscription is active.

got it to work like people saying make sure the spy program is shut completley down then add patch to folder were u dowloaded the program then all done thx evry body
