thanks for the post...i see on bbc news the lead actress coming under fire for being a lousey actress...i dunno, i think she does fine with what little is given her..i wonder how long they're gonna string this out..2 seasons for life on mars was about right...she seems to have a handle on her situation, not like sam...

That came as a surprise, but you're right, many critics in London are complaining. I don't see a single thing wrong with the performance. I don't think anyone's suggesting she's a bad actress, since she's a veteran who's been in many works, such as Spooks. I expect many are being influenced by the show itself, which after Life on Mars (itself a thin concept which would have been more satisfactory with fewer, tighter episodes that concentrated a LOT less on tired police plots) leaves very little wiggle room for what's basically a remake.
