The upgrades override the crack files and start asking for activation/registration, so I reinstalled without them. There are two crack files, one replaces the file in the Program Files/Dark Basic and the other is one level down in the Compiler folder. Windows XP looks like it runs good, but Vista only worked in compatibility mode for XP, and then the spinning cube program (an example in the 'getting started' section) spins a 100 times faster in Vista that way, so I don't know how else programs may be effected if using Vista. i need help when i downloud it i put the crack it says please insert cd rom maybee im puting the crack in the rong aria im puting it were the setup is can some one help me or give me a new crack thnx !!!!!

Don't use the updates. After you've installed, open your Dark Basic directory in Program Files (or wherever you've installed it) and find 2 files with the same names as the 2 files in the crack folder. Replace these 2 files with the ones found in the crack folder.

um...i know all that. its installed and everything. im not a dummy, thank you. i cant find the 2 files that i need to replace. all im asking for is the location. if you cant provide that then dont bother saying anything.

the crack is inside a folder called..."crack", its inside the ISO file

If you download the Trial version it gives you a later build with a better I***Compiler and less buggy code.
All you have to do is remove the 3 green DBP icons from the darkbasic root dir\compiler folder and it lifts all time restrictions as well as the pop up and watermark.

I no this is gonna sound really dumb to most of you guys but could someone tell me why every time I open it it tells me to insert the disc. Cheers in advance to any1 that can help.
