Hey,
Ive been looking for a updated Alcohol 120 for ages that is up2date.
Im still using Build 4719 this is because all the other versions don't entirely work. (They may but if u look carefully they aren't FULLY working)
Im wondering if this one has the context menu working. (The context menu is the menu when u right click on an image file or cd drive and it comes up with the options of: Mount Image then Mount to Drive: Etc etc, or UnMount Image.
If this one has that working with it then I will be very thankful.

Apparently got win32.trojan.delf from this. Virus scan did not detect it from downloaded file but adware tool found it afterwards I had installed and run the crack.

Crack dosent work on my vista ultimate laptop get the error "this application has failed to start because MSVCR71.dll was not found. I have downloaded MSVCR71.dll of http://www.dll-files.com, and pasted into windows/system windows/system32 and also the folder with the crack in but still no luck!!!

for those having the dll problem, I found a solution. I'm assuming that those with the problem are running xp64, which I am. Posting the dll file into system32 directory doesn't work, you have to put it in the sysWOW64 folder. Once you paste msvcp71, it will ask you for msvcr71 as well, once both are in sysWOW64, the crack will run. hope this helps you guys.

OK, for you Vista users out there (I am sorry to say I am one), you have to
1. Right click on the patch icon
2. Click on properties
3. Click on the "compatibility" tab
4. Click the "run this program in comp ability mode for", then select Windows XP SP2
5. Click the box to run it as an administrator
6. Click OK and then run the patch like the directions tell you. This worked for we with Vista Ultimate 32bit.

this is what you do: download BOTH "msvcp71.dll" and "msvcr71.dll" files from "http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?msvcr70" and put them BOTH into your "system" folder NOT "system32" or "sysWOW64"
done.
i think the problem was that people who put the "msvcP71.dll" in their systems folder saw the message "this application has failed to start because msvcR71.dll" but did not notice it was "r" not "p" and simply assumed that the problem was not solved.
making assumptions is the mother of all **** ups.

tried to install an ad on browser after using the patch.......them comp froze up and had to be re-started, seems now to run ok if you run as an administrator.....not so sure though, im in the process of running the usual trifecta of spyware software..i would be sure to have your browser set up to not allow ad ons prior to install....be careful

Ok My Virus scanner is no POS - the two I Use are paid for - Avast and AVG..both of which found a virus...so did a few of the online scanners as well....so yeah dl at your own risk people...it def has a virus.

With people running into the missing dll error and trying the mutiple solutions and are finding that they are not working it could be to the fact that your using 64 bit. I myself had to refer to #36 about the missing dll because installing into system 32 does not work for 64x but installing into syswow64 does fix the problem

A much simpler solution is copy the following files into the same folder as the crack file
msvcp71.dll
msvcr71.dll
The application will always look in containing folder 1st before checking the registry.

For those people who might face crack problem or after you press crack it still remain at trial verison, i recommend you remove/delete any alcohol application shortcut in your desktop. After that it will work.

Download and extract it it to the Alcohol 120% folder which contains the crack. Run the crack as stated in matt14's readme file and there'll be no further problems

After installing alcohol and then patch. My Internet explorer started poping up to different sites. After looking around my registry I found I had a trojan Vundo. Search for Vundo and look for "How to Remove WinFixer / Virtumonde / Msevents / Trojan.vundo" Find a copy of VirtumundoBeGone.exe to get rid of it.

Just download it and had some problemas with... So here we go. 
My windows is Vista and I had all the problems that those fellows just had.
But I had it work.
had to download 3 files from dll-files:
MSVC P71
MSVC R70
MSVC R71
that was like windows asking for files and I giving files. After download all three of it, worked perfect.

To all of you who are wondering about the patch!!
When you have installed normally, shut down your pc (Making sure you dont have it starting on bootup) then run the patch on alcohol.exe. I had problems at first but this seemed to resolve it. Also works on vista x64.

ok people... this is for those who say that alcohol 120% (after installing and using the crack) still says TRIAL ENDED, REGISTER/BUY... or something along the lines of that!...
I had problems with this! But its sorted now and heres what a dumb person like me did! If i can do it a baby can do it, trust me!

After reading all these comments (yep all 119 of them!)... I downloaded msvcp71.dll and msvcr71.dll (googled it) and saved it on my desktop. I unzipped it and cut the dll files out of there folders and pasted them on my desktop.
I went to start >> search >> and typed in 'systems' I COPIED and pasted both those dll files into every folder that said 'systems' on it (ONLY 'SYSTEMS'). then i pasted them in the folder that this torrent is downloaded in (where the 'crack' and 'read me' and 'setup.exe' files are).

Then i RE DID the Patch thing as Matt14 said.
delete the files from your desk top.
AND IT WORKED!!!
Ok, I really dont know what i did or which folder i pasted those two dll files in that made it work but everything is worth a try!

BY THE WAY... if it works on my comp, it will work on yours... because my comp is ****ED up bigtym!! there is no 'windows' folder in c drive and there is no 'system32' folder anywhere and i have plenty of 'system' folders all over the place. seriously i have a lot of problems with my comp cuz all the major files are ****ED up aswell as the little ones. Half of the stuff is missing!!
I have windows XP, SP3, Pentium 4, 504MB of RAM.

So for Vista 64 -
Try to launch the crack
write down the name of the file that is missing in a notepad extension included (extention = .dll)
Go to http://www.dll-files.com/
Paste the name you copied into notepad here
download the zipped file and extract the dll to C:\windows\SysWOW64
Try to launch the crack again.
If the error still occurs repeat these steps. I had to load two dll files to get the crack working.
After i got the crack to launch i followed the instructions in the read me and it worked like a breeze.
Took me about an hour to get alcohol working - tried like 4 torrents, this one seemed to be the most promising to get working.

ok for all of the people that is having problems with the people with the "MSVCR71.DLL" . it does not matter if you have XP or Vista. When you downloaded the program it will be in one file that will contain all the other files including patch. all you have to do is go to www.dll-files.com then look for the msvcp71.dll and msvcr71.dll and just put both of those files unziped of course into the file that you downloaded. when you activate the patch it will look for those file in the folder where "patch" is located. I got the error message also and i did this and it works great.

Use ExpressZIP to extract the file to your windows\system directory.
go in to your drive in c: then windows then find system32 click on the folder and extract there job done and its working perfect.

ok, for something that's virus free, it sure is odd that kaspersky caught the patch file trying to access thunderbird email accounts and the internet explorer settings. it was trying to do it through windows explorer, which is a trusted application in kaspersky and vista, which is why noone here seemed to pick it up. scanning using adaware doesnt pick anything up, nor does a normal file scan using kaspersky.
but that sure is some suspicious activity, which it did right after it had finished installing the crack.

i ran this on a virtual machine like i run all my suspected virus filled programs. i threw an ****nal of anti virus, adware, spyware software in its direction. it failed miserably 27 was the magic number of probs. some of those problems could be from the crack and so forth but not all. so my suggestion is to look elsewhere or you might suffer for it.

If you've having trouble with running the patch file you have to download two dll files and add them to your C:/Windows/System32 folder. Download (url removed) and (url removed) Don't worry, they are safe and come from a trusted source. Now try to run the patch, it should work fine.

The patch WILL work provided you have the following files which you can download as per the link in post 184
These are
msvcp71.dll
msvcr71.dll
msvcr70.dll
These only need to be in the SAME FILE as the patch, and the patcher will work. You don't need to add them to the system or system32 folders.
This works fine on XP (sp3) machines

@210 Downloaded yesterday with no problem. Today programme has reverted to a trial copy and running patch comes up with "incorrect file size must be equal to : 1589704" warning. Tried the 'Run as Administrator' route but no change.
