The quality just isn't the same... but will probably be just fine on a smaller format, such as for use with an ipod. pretty fast and easy to use tho!

Hi, I have installed winavi but each time I try to convert anything it says that I need some “Quik Time Codec 6.5 or higher”, however I had installed quick time and quick time alternative and also a couple of codecs pack but it still doesn’t work. this was a successful download and it worked for quite awhile and then today out of nowhere, i tried to convert again like 15 times and got the same message "WinAvi has stopped working and must close".
i'm wondering if this is because my operating system is Vista??

u know this software works good only if you have xvid/real/quicktime decoder

ok ppl who are having problems with the stupid watermark in the middle of the screen.... When you download this file it is actually 2 files, one is the setup and the other one is the serial number. after you install the program, exit it. then open the serial number file and open the program again, all you have to do is copy and paste it into the program. That should solve everyones problems

For some weird reason, I converted three movies two days ago and it worked perfect. Today I tried to convert and the program loaded and everything but after "converting" it was still the same thing. Audio faster then the movie. I'm going to try to uninstalled and reinstall, hopefully it makes a difference. I'll be sure to report!

Program is good but still having some problems with it. Same as stated in my above comment. I'm still having to uninstall and reinstall to convert. But now I tried converting this movie and it says "WInAvi MP4 Converter.exe has stopped working". And It says to close the program. Oh well, I will try to continue to use it, but I will b searching for a different program. Thanks to the uploader though!

i can't seem to convert any of TAKA's or DB's releases with any converter. Does anyone know how or which converter i can use to do this. The same error is shown by every converter - CANNOT DECODE FILE. This happens when i try to convert the files to any format. ConvertX is the only one that seems to convert them to DVD Vob files. Other than that all other converters have been proven useless. PLEASE HELP.

I converted a few movies successfully, but now everytime I go to convert an avi file the program crashes. I've unintalled it a few times, and I get the same result.
