I really hate to sound like some some crabby school teacher, but.
P2P is about sharing what you have downloaded....usually for free.
P2P is about leaving the downloaded item on your system so that others can have what you have just had.
P2P is about a network of people who do not JUST TAKE... we all share and put back in.
So. Please leave what you have downloaded on your system for as long as possible so that we may all abide and benefit from P2P.
Thanks to all those who do, and shame on all those who dont.

Despite being a DVD-rip, the encoder didn't know jack about making a good encode. The picture is blurred enough to make a tv captured episode look possibly better. The increased file size is... large for no apparent reason at all. Wait, it might be because it's encoded at 1000kbps with DivX3... ***??? Not even XviD!! Nowadays everybody should be using x264.

The audio is mp3 @48kHz, encoded in VBR at about 160kbps. It's clear they're all avi containers. Clips contains full credits and possible intro as well.

I thank the uploader for sharing this torrent, but damn the encoder for wasting such fine source material. Probably used an automating program, doubt gordian knot would reproduce something this mediocre. No frameserving, no slight image enhancement nor audio normalizing. Whether virtualdubmod was used probably doesn't make a difference.

Wow, 60gb. I hope Star Trek TNG is as good as my friend hyped it to be (yes, it's true, I have never seen an episode). Anyways, for a file this big, it's only fair to seed it for as long as it takes to download. Downloaded it in a month? Seed it for a month. If you can't afford the HDD space, go rent the discs, loser.

Shame to hear about the encoding though, step one after download: convert to .h264!!! Then burn, then seed for 4000 days (if this 0.2kb/s speed keeps up!!!)

You must have one hell of a great rental store maximusprimus, because no rental store I know of lets you rent TV Series DVD box sets... and considering that Star Trek's series DVD box set all together has 49 dvd's... I would think renting is a little on the impossible side.

every blockbuster lets you rent tv shows, or if you do blockbuster online you get 3 at a time, if you burn them the same day and return them, you could have the entire series in like 2 months

Try netflix or your local library. mine lets you rent each season at a time, although the discs are sometimes damaged and you have to wait awhile

I don't know why people are complaining about speed, i've had this going for about 1 day, and i'll have it done in 3 more days. add the trackers the other person listed and you'll be fine, i'm at a constant 165 down and 135 up, never below 110 down, this is a good torrent

A very good upload. File size is good for an hour long Ep (~350Mb.)
Furthermore, the Video and audio quality are quite good for its size. However the file format is not compatible w/ Xbox360 media player.
60Gb is alot of data to seed, I recommend everyone who downloads this should pick two or three of the seasons and seed those, deleting the rest. That would create a solid base for downloaders without taking up a large percentage of your harddrive.

Note to Uploader:
Some fat could have been trimmed by removing the intro from all but the first episode, or by having it as a separate file, same for the ending credits. Also, please use Xvid for any other uploads, its more compatable and universal. (I don't know if that option was available at the time of the torrents creation, nor do i know if that is what You use now, just stating my opinion.)

196 "Seeders," but I'm only connecting to 1 peer for download. This means that, of we 196, only 2 people are actually ALLOWING people to download from us...and I'm one of them. No wonder this torrent has taken me 2 months...so far...and I haven't started season 7 yet...
Would you all please, please, when you are downloading AS WELL AS when you have downloaded, allow uploading? If you don't, peer sharing doesn't exactly work...it's more like peer I-take-what-you-have-and-everybody-else-can-****-an-egg-ing.

English subtitles. I testet only season 1 so far and they are synched properly.

Quality is ok. This is series is very old, maybe one day we'll get it in restored HD quality, but probably not any time soon.

The rips could be 700 MiB with native 720x480, or at least 640x480, but then the entire collection would take up over 120 GiB.

Some seasons have episodes in three different formats - 24, 25 and 30 FPS. I don't know why that's so, but nevertheless they're all ok (though the 30 FPS rips stutter a lot, which is understandable).
