Can someone please confirm whether or not this game has a Wii system update embeded in it, in the same way that 'Super Mario Galaxy' had? If so this could disable our mod-chips and we'll have to update them again. Please let me know if this is the case and if the current 'Wiibrick Blocker' will remove it.

This game works 100% on my Wii with Wiikey 1.9s and Firmware 3.2E , the disc contains no update, so its safe. This game rox^^

Unfortunally the SCRUBBER program is not programed to work with 3 partition game iso's. The program cant detect the 3th partition and for this reason "error 001" and the "mario kart" channel is not installed. You need to download the full UN-SCRUBBER ISO

I downloaded the "WII-MOMENT" version, but I think is the same.
So, it worked fine on my Wii ntsc 3.1U + d2ckey.
Just BrickBlock it, to avoid the upload, and be happy.

Confirm this works fine on PAL wii with wasabi chip.
It asked to update which I did and all ok!

The scrubbed version (2.9GB) makes all rubbish code the same so something like winrar can then highly compress it*. You don't have to do anything special, just extract and burn!

i have a pal wii with D2Ckey. i connected it to the internet and updated first, then put mario kart in and let it do its update thing. works perfectly!

I have the 1.9s update for wiikey and when i loaded this in it ran a system update and duplicated my news and weather channel but the game came up on the wii menu without the mario kart channel so i clicked start and it goes as far as the wrist strap saftey screen and freezes my entire system to where i have to unplug it. please help

Guys this game is fussy. My burner is good but not with this game. try a different burner (the new LG's are all good for burning Wii games)...especially at #31

I could get the start screen with D2CKEY and firmware 3.2E but, then it just went black and locked to WII.
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A PAL WII, then you can update from this disk and it will work and not brick your WII and will work fine.
Mine is working fine now.
ANYONE WITH NTSC OR JAP DO NOT UPDATE FROM THIS DISK IT WILL BRICK YOUR WII.

If you use WiiBrickblocker on this it wont work.
If your playing this on a PAL Wii you dont need to worry about the update, it wont mess-up your chip. If your using this on a NTSC, better download the unscrubbed version and use Wii Update Remover.

Firstly, the game runs flawlessly on my Wii, and I can go online without any troubles. I do have one problem however and I will outline it below.
Steps I took to install on my (PAL WII 3.2E w/ WIIKEY 1.9s)
Assumptions: You have Wiikey installed in your Wii.
1) Make sure your Wii has 3.2E firmware. If not, update it.
2) Download, burn, and install Wiikey 1.9s firmware on your Wii.
3) Using the Wiikey 1.9s config disc, make sure you have regionfree and updateblocker set to "On".
4) Insert Mario Kart Wii disc, and it will ask you to update. Allow it to update.
5) Load the game and enjoy!
The only issue, that I am hoping someone here can resolve, is that when I try to go to the Mario Kart Channel on the game's main menu, it goes to a black screen. Nothing happens for ages, and I just restart my Wii and everything is all good. But still, anyone else able to access the Mario Kart Channel?

So Mario Kart Channel was scrubbed away? Or is it because we are "blocking" the disc update from having any effect on our Wii that it is causing it to not install?
If that is the case, would that mean since I blocked the disc update, I have no way of reallowing it to perform the update so that it can install? (since I am using a PAL Wii)

1.Updated WiiKey firmware to 1.9s
2.On inserting the Mario Kart disk it will ask to complete an update, let this run.
3.PLAY THE GAME! Multiplayer on WFC is awesome

Okay so I got the game to work on my NTSC wii... using the following steps:
*******************THIS IS FOR THOSE THAT HAVE A NTSC WII V3.2 FROM USA AND WANTS TO PLAY THE PAL VERSION*******************************
1)Unpack the file
2)Download brickblocker v1.32 (Program patches the file so there is no update from the disc, and prevents your wii from bricking)
3)*If you have the .net framework 2.0.50727, download the v2.0 .net framework from microsoft. The file should be "dotnetfx.exe" Install it.
4)Run brickblocker, browse for the unpacked iso, and press "patch"
5)Download regionfrii v1.21 (Program changes file from PAL to NTSC)
6)Open regionfrii, browse for iso, under "new region" select NTSC. press "update ISO"
7)Use imgburn and burn it onto a single layer dvd
8)Everything in the game should be functional, except for the mario kart channel

*EDIT: Okay sorry for triple posting, but on step 3) I meant to say that if you have the .net framework 2.0.50727 ERROR, then download the V2.0 .net framework from microsoft. So if you do not get such error from opening brickblocker, omit step 3.

@TorrentMan2008: I think telling people whether your wii is PAL or NTSC.. and possibly what kind of chip you're using would help. ALso include the wii's firmware and your chips firmware.

Pal Wii - Should work.

if you are gettin ERROR 001 unortherised device detected go to http://www.nintendo-hacks.com/forums/t1255.html download the patch and the app build the mario iso img paste that into the patch app then paste the patch into the app press apply and burn the disc worked a treet for me THIS IS GENUINE 100% happy karting

I used the disk, but it asked me to update my wii software, I'm really scared that it might turn into a brick, so i used brick blocker on the next dvd but again it wouldn't work...honestly, if i update it will it brick

I have Australia version wii (PAL system) and i have downloaded "Resident Evil The Umbrella Chronicles [PAL][MULTI5][Wii][www.zonatorrent.com]" and unzip to .iso file
I have tried to burn it to dvd several times and after that my wii always tells me it cant read the disc

Works fine on Argon 1.8/PAL Wii.
The game burns flawlessly with Imgburn at 4x and reads fine. Used Verbatim DVD-R.
Game itself is great - very addictive in single player mode and great use of the WiFi connection playing with up to 11 other people.
Sadly, the two-player Grand-Prix has gone from the game - and once you get used to Bikes, you never look back (it's supposed to be Marion KART...)
Overall -
Torrent: 10/10. LOVE these scrubbed ISO's - keep 'em coming!!
(Never disappointed with these guys!)

Right, I'm struggling.
Recently bought a brand spanking new PAL Wii (three weeks old).
Got it chipped at the weekend (£80 at a really dodgy market). Advised that everything should OK but it was £80 instead of £30 because I needed a new chip.
Downloaded Wii Sport Island, wrote the ISO file to DVD using Image Burner.
Verified the disk, everything hunkdory.
Put the disk into my Wii and the Wii doesn't recognise the disk.
Any suggestions anyone? Have I been ripped for my £80?

maxell is **** go and buy verbatim dvd-r (use 4x speed)

Hi there everyone. I have just modded my wii with the yowii chip. I dl this game and then tried to use freeloader with it but it would not load. it asked for system update. so i did the proper wii update via the internet first to 3.3e and then ran this iso and did the update and it worked. now playing happily. freeloader is now blocked.

I have a NTSC wii with version 3.3 It has the D2Pro9 chip. I followed the steps on patching it and changing it from Pal to NTSC. Then burned with Imgburn at 2x speed. It loads up on the wii but when I press Play to start, it just gives me a black screen and freezes my wii.

I finally got it to work. I just had to do game update by inserting the original NTSC game of smashbros. then it was able to play mario kart.
