I have an eMachine 6810 laptop with an AMD 64bit 2ghz processor, broadcom wireless NIC, a 10/100 ethernet NIC, and though I CAN get anything up to 10.4 OSX to install, (haven't tried 10.5 yet) I can't get any network connections to work. It doesn't even show that they are there. So, I basically have a great computer with a great UI, but nothing I can do with it...
Can anyone tell me how to get my system working with itself with Leopard before I download and burn and waste a DVD and the bandwidth?
I'd love to have an eMAChine instead of a windows based pc, unfortunately I can't afford to go out and buy an actual MAC - and probably won't for a good, long time!

Works Great. I installed it on a Dell:
Inspiron 6400.
256MB NVIDIA® GeForce Go 7300 GS
2GB RAM
Intel Core 2 Duo T5600 (1.83GHz, 2MB L2 Cache, 667MHz FSB).
Uses less power than Windows Vista. Only one major problem is that I have no wireless. I'm using Intel 4965 AGN. I've tried the one driver I could find out there but no luck yet.

@voider08, this should work fine on your system, when you burnt the DVD what speed did you burn it at?
I heard that you should burn the file at 4x or slower, otherwise you get problems trying to boot from the disc....

LespaulzRule, You do not need two HDD's to dual boot. I'm triple booting on a 160GB HDD. I suggest you go to the following pages for help:

I am like spartus4, i get rid of WinXP & use this instead (Vista=spawn of SATAN-OS).
btw, this is a *real* working version. So don't say it's fake. Liars.

Okay forget that one. I'm trying to burn this on a friend's mac (my laptop can't burn DVDs), but using disk utility, it says there's not enough space on the DVD. Anyone know any software or way to fix this?

I do that & everytime I get a good dvd or cd, but if you want
to mes up your burn, then burn at the fastest speed & then
you will definitly maybe get a burn with errors, so the lesson
is to burn in the slowest mode. On my pc I burn 2x mode &
on my imac I burn 1x (or) 2x & since I have been doing this
I have not had any coasters lately & for all you people that
want to know how to dual boot, I have uploaded a video so

it's always a problem of incompability between the OS and the hardware,
i've read a lot of topics in alot of forums,what i deduced
is that the version 10.5.2 has some problemes that are not fixed yet,
and do not works for all,
but the 10.5.1 still works fine with alot of configurations(machines), laptops include,
so i suggest for those who have an instalation problem to try the 10.5.1
and the upgrade it to 10.5.2 or 10.5.3 using some patched updates ,
for the dual boot, there is too many tips to get over the problem,
but the most used one and it's the easiest way; is to use a software called EasyBCD "you should already have an XP or Vista installed",
it changes the boot loader in the MBR of the HDD,
and then give you the choice to add wathever you want,
an XP boot entry or a Vista one , a linux one or a MAC OS one, or all of them.
i'll try to put some links in my next post,
but Google still the best way to find the answer by yourself.

to do this before u choose the drive ur going to install mac into go to disk ****ity up in the menu and format the disk

This is a genuine installation, which works fine.
Thanks to the uploader. 
The steps I used are:
1. Download the files.
2. Use Toast 8 to burn the iso image on to a DVD. Note: you need to burn the iso image to the DVD using 'burn image' or similar on your burning software. Do not just copy the iso file on to DVD, it probably won't work.
3. Insert DVD into target machine and reboot. Make sure the machine is setup to boot from DVD in the BIOS.
4. Follow the prompts.
The installation went reasonably smooth but I recommend reading the various online document sources for more information. Here is a good one:

If your installation stops half way through (mine did around 27% twice), restart the whole process again. My third time worked fine.

this works. installed it on an old ibm p4 pc. install hung at about 30% of the way, the first time around, restarted and ran install again, and SUCCESS.

I am having a hard time in booting the dvd .. first after downloading the whole torrent .. i extracted the .iso file and burned it into a dvd .. and then i am trying to boot it and keep restarting my laptop and it still does not work .. did i did something wrong? and i have a question about the add_kext_to_dvd.. i really dont understand it .. should i burn it with the extracted iso? i searched all over the internet for tips .. but, it all said that the dvd will boot itself during the start .. arghh .. this is killing me ..

I installed on my notebook Acer Extensa4230 but cannot get it working.
After the MAC OS booting up, I get the Welcome screen to register. I select US or any other country and continue, then the keyboard and continue then a big question "Do You Already Own a MAC ?". Here I have 4 options to transfer your information. I select the 4th "Do not transfer my information now" and click on continue. After a few seconds I get back to the Welcome screen.
How do I get rid of the registration screen and continue.

you guys who see only 2 files in iso, are you trying to burn image via ultraISO ?
couse, my ultraISO would not wanna to burn it correct way, I had same problem until I burned it with windows 7 image burner, now it's ok...
image is fine, but, it's not a standard iso, it is hfs+iso or something like that, so, make shore you know what r you doing

will test to see how it works in comparison to the mac at work: not as good, just as good, better than.
Will test it mainly to see and answer the consistent question: does it work with AMD CPUs? Will Final Cut Studio Run on it? and Adobe CS4.
If and when i get it to work, I'll post back here my findings.
