WORKING PERFECT!!
however...I can't find a postcode search!
which is much easier than....
look for country!,town!,street! then input house number!
also on a tech note can i install the Garmin uptade or is it already included?

installed fine on n95 8gb, but in `remote gps` it gives no option to use `use attached/built in gps` only `pair with devices` and when you activate this will not find the internal gps.

@djin1000 Hi, I upped this torrent and someone else asked the same thing about a N95 8gb at my Piratebay torrent (http://thepiratebay.org/tor/4126893) my reply is there. But maybe this is just a bug with N95 8gb's ?? I don't really know about this, sorry.

@mrangry update v4.10.80 is already included - you can check it by going to System>About on your phone in the Garmin App. If you can find a postcode search add on let me know, I'm really missing that!!

@Ell2Cool I'm fairly sure you can add other maps. Some other torrents might have maps in them, you're looking for *.img type map files. But you'll have to unlock them with a keygen. For reference 'gmapsupp.img' is the UK map and 'GMAPSUPP.UNL' is the unlock code for the map.

It works fine with N95 8GB but didn't show POSTCODE search function so I uninstalled this and use the previous version (4.60)of GMobileXT. It doesn't give much different. Any way many thanks.

@sampathdw There is a problem with version 4.10.60 in that the # (hash) key sticks. This happens on the N82 (it might happen on the N95 as well). I think I have a postcode search sorted for my version and will upload soon if it works.

Keeps saying no GPS on my N95 8GB, anyone whos got it workin care to tell me how?

I have updated this torrent to include UK postcode support - http://thepiratebay.org/tor/4138348/
If you already have this older version of my torrent working then all you need to do to add postcode support is to download the "UK_map_with_postcodes.zip", "Keygen.zip" and "README.PDF" from the new torrent. Overwrite your old gmapsupp.img with the new one and create a new GMAPSUPP.UNL file using the new Keygen (see the new README.PDF for detailed instructions).

BTW, the torrent uploaded here with a similar name to the one I uploaded to TPB (above) was not uploaded by me and is missing a description
I suggest only downloading the update from http://thepiratebay.org/tor/4138348/ and not here!

IGNORE POST 14.
Looks like Mininova have removed the spam torrent. I've uploaded my own here http://www.mininova.org/tor/1329377 (same as TPB torrent)
Enjoy!

Im having problems running the Garmin XT Sat Nav on my N95.
I have followed the PDF installation guidlines. Once I follow the following guideline : -
'Disconnect your phone and the Garmin program `should' try and install itself' the software runs fine although you can not see any roads you can navigate all the Garmin menus.
The next command asks to plug the phone back in and then extract a couple of files and then copy them to the 'Garmin' folder on my memory card.
I copy these files over (SW.UNL, GMAPSUPP.UNL, gmapsupp.img and gmapbmap.img & POI) disconnect my phone. Once I disconnect and reboot the phone I select the Garmin XT folder on my nokia the Garmin logo loads but then the software drops out back into the N95 menu.
When I go to browse the Garmin folder on my phone there are question marks against the files gmapsupp.img and gmapbmap.img as though the phone does not recognise the format.
Can anyone help or tell me if I have installed wrong?

I am having exactly the same problem as no.17 Any ideas.

Big thanks for this. I was having problems too with the internal GPS on my N95 not showing up, seems some of the generated SW.UNL codes may not allow internal GPS use (?) I regenerated the codes a couple of times and redid the SW.UNL and all was well

ALPHAPI! THANKS! you have just saved me $99! works perfectly! if anyone is having problems with the keygen codes, go into your file browser on your phone to the garmin folder and make sure that the *txt files do not have .txt at the end, if the do delete the .txt bit and it will work perfectly (thats what i had to do)

Hi I am having the same problem with my N95 as point 17 and 18 above did, has anyone got the fix for it.
25.Posted by hoggson on Jul 09 2008 at 18:44
To use the internal GPS you need a tool that creates a fake Bluetooth GPS Receiver, that links to the internal GPS. The tool is in a previous torrent of mine. The torrent is TomTom 6.02 [Symbian S60] [UK Maps]

@djinn1000
I had same problem with my n95.
even though I renamed the files in windows without the ".txt" windows still left it there.
So go in to the phone's view of the memory card and rename the files from there.
it works! so far so good! when I can get tidy GPS accuracy that is!

I'm getting the same problem as post 17, 18 and 24. (Finished instructions as per PDF but after I launch it, the software drops out).
If it helps, when I originally started Garmin to configure language etc.. it worked fine (i.e. - able to run the software) so I think the problem is with the transfer of the final files..
Any help would be greatly appreciated :-)

Same as 17, 18, 24 & 28 - followed the instructions to a tee.
Won't recognise anything but a genuine garmin GPS unit - not even my external one I used with my old E61

A message to 17, 18 24 and 29.
It's obvious this won't work for us - possibly firmware incompatibility etc.. who knows.. - May I request that if you find a solution either with this torrent download or an alternative program, please come back and post your findings (I will of course do the same).
For trouble shooting my details are:
* Phone: N95 (Original)
* Firmware Version: 21.0.016
* Operating System: S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 1
* Memory Card: 2GB (SanDisk)
Thanks in advance :-)

Success had to switch off bluetooth as for some reason it muted the phone and the headphone sign was visible.

Update on the message 31,29,24,18,17
If it does not recogonise internal gps then browse your memory card inside the mobile and rename the text files as they will still have .txt extension with them.
Be happy n Enjoy
Thanks to the uploader

Hey to all with problems running Garmin on N95/8gb and N82. I have been able to get it working brilliantly on all 3 phones.
If you are still having problems just post a comment here and I'll try help. Also, I will try upload (as I've never done it before) the files I used to get it working (including the program itself, the keygen and the instructions). However, I only have Australian maps.

i've tried installing this a few times on my N95 but when i come to use the app it just goes back to the main screen on my any ideas on what could be the problem?

Hey Dona****.
Try downloading this file:
http://www.mininova.org/tor/1043383
This is the one I got to work on my mates N95. Another thing, he done a software update which seemed to help (MAKE SURE you back up all your stuff on your phone prior to the update or else you'll lose it all).

Im having problems with the maps on my N95. I can get Garmin to load but then I get no maps. It asks me to log onto garmin's website.
When I check the file on my memory card the 'GMAPBMAP.IMG' and 'GMAPSUPP.IMG' have questions mark next to them, and it also says file type not supported. Can anyone help?

I have installed exactly as per the very helpful instructions.
However, as some above my phone has a built in GPS and when I go to select my gps, all it wants to do is connect to a device via bluetooth, it will not find my gps device at all. I uninstalled and started all over again only to have exactly same thing happen again.
On my pc I looked on my memory card and the .txt files did not show .txt but when I went and looked on the phone they were saved *.*.txt - someone above says to rename the txt files on the phone so that .txt does not appear at end, however, can someone please tell me how to do this.
I only have options save as .doc or .txt and if .txt is selected then GPS does not work (obv nor does it with .doc but I had to try!).
HELP.....PLEASE

I have done this now!!!
Basically I had to go into Tool/Folder Options/View (when I had card reader attached to pc) then I had to untick "hide extensions for known file types" - this stopped .txt appearing.
I have a Nokia E71 and it now works perfectly.
