The other version of this game that u find on mininova&co are just the image file *.ISO of the game not compressed, so is bigger than the rip version.

Same error as Millar....... small message box comes and say general protection fault.I tried it the way you have told by unchecking in msconfig.. though still happens the same thing.My computer config is OK than the requirements. Great release never used Skullptura before but it worked fine first time, even if it did take like 30-45mins to run through the batch file. Im having trouble using my 360 controller with it though, the options menu has an option specifically for the controller but it won't change to yes!? Stuck using Xpadder at the moment. Anyone able to help?

That's exactly what I did: Unzip, run Setup.bat, run from desktop.
It works on Assassin's Creed (from skullptura as well). But it doesn't work on Vegas 2.

Thanks Gizmolio. I got the same general protection fault, I then downloaded 7-zip and it did the work, There's nothing wrong with the read me file. Download the exact version of winrar,or 7 zip.
by the way in game im experiencing the walls and everything is blinking... moving and i cant see a thing.sometimes only the outline only comes.any ideas? same fault?

gizmolio do have or know of a fix or do you just give links to sites with only questions and no answers . this game finished downloading at 5am for me so i installed as in the read me and played it for a min then went to sleep when i woke i tried to open the game again and got the protection fault i then uninstalled as in the read me and reinstalled but same problem . i cant afford to risk downloading your games if theres no fix for them . please let me know if some one finds a fix i know my comp can run it and because i cant afford unlimited bandwidth it would be awsome if i can download these small game rips . thanks

CPU: QX6600 (quad core) @ 9x373 = 3360MHZ Memory 4x1024 OCZ Reaper 1066MHZ @ 1120MHZ (5-5-5-15) GFX:GeForce Gigabyte 8800ULTRA @ (676-1133) Snd: SB X-FI PSU: BeQuiet Dark Power 750W everything works fine - no general protection fault at all.
3 The LAN and Internet connection is broken. (Your ethernet card is not connected)
If U want play solo take it, but there is chance to get that stupid error.
If U want play coop like me wait for better realease.

HEY IT WORKS 100% - I had the same problem - after unpacking the file there was a message GENERAL PROTECTION FAULT HISTORY. I have tried so many times and nothing - but when I used the 7-ZIP instead of WINRAR the problem was gone! It works I'm telling you and the game is great! I've been waiting for it so long but of course I'm going to buy this game on Friday, 18/04 - release date! It is a MUST HAVE game!!!

using 7-zip does not help i was using 7-zip everytime including the first time i un-zipped the game the general protection fault has nothing to do with the unzipping of the game although 7-zip is better for games.munyecho obviously got lucky as i did for all of one min before i exited to go to sleep as i explained in comment#84 .unless some one posts a decent explanation this game can only be played by the lucky ones .

well anyone with any decent protection will detect it has the Tremor-4000 virus. A virus which is able to bypass most Anti Viruses using advanced techniques. , it changes EXE files and Com files.
SO be warned. !!!

what u need to do:
go to Control panel>regional and language settings>advanced and select English (United Kingdom)
go to Control panel>network connections>Advanced settings>in connections box move your primary adapter to the top

anyone with general protection fault start all over again extracting the 7-zip file to your program files folder and it will solve the general protection fault problem trust me it works !

this game is full of bugs, i dunno what UBISOFT was thinking...
framerate is horrible, loading times takes so long & gampelay leaves something to be desired... and don't talk about multiplayer either, full of glitches, geesh!
the developers should have taken some tips on how COD4 was made, that game set the standards of today's moden FPS! it can even run even though your PC has only 512MB of RAM, NOW that's cool!

regarding "general protection fault" error. pls read my last post above (i have 2 computers). When the installed, working game was copied from q6600 + abitip35pro etc. ( around 6GB) to the notebook, game starts without that stupid error... that is very strange

regarding post 133 and 139 after lowering the resolution to 7XX x 4XX the blue and also yellowed texture are gone so i guess this could be due to my go6800 but the persone in post 139 as a 8800gts so resolution should not be the problem

Unzip with " 7-zip" in " Program Files " Folder and then run setup.bat.

GTBoi123 you have two options:
1)* type d3dx9_36.dll in google, click on a link and then download it and then put the .dll file in system32 folder.
2) install latest directx
*probably you will get another message of another .dll not found after putting the file in system32.

The compression: why was so tight?
Download size: 1.94gb
after unpack: 5.60gb
in the middle of unpacking proces error pops up .
in the second approach was ok.
Next time try a bit lower compression.
I know size have the matter but for exemp. downl size: 2.5 or 3gb is not very big at least better than 4.8gb and chance for error r smaller.

It's called "AdWare.Win32.AdMedia".

To apply the patch successfully do the following:
1)Open the registry editor by typing regedit in the 'Run' window.
2)Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall
3)Right click on 'Uninstall', select New and then Key.
4)Name the key: {FD416706-875C-4B0B-A23A-9E740DAE029E} (just copy and paste)

I scanned disk with lavasoft ad aware 2007 pro with updated definition file(17-4-2008) and dont detected anything only tracking cookies but this is normal (every day at least 50 tracking cookies).

jmtch268 maybe u interrupt in the middle of unpacking and thats why only terrorist hunt mode works.
game size on disk after decompression should be 5.60gb
To unpack files i used newest winrar.

I've got Kane's Wrath ISO wich was an 8Gb download and also got skullptura's release wich was *ONLY a 1.5Gb* download. After installing both, skullptura's release was EXACTLY the same as the full 8gb ISO in terms of gameplay.

I'm having problems unpacking the game and with the "general fault" problem. The first time I extracted the game i extracted to other folder besides the program files because i keep my games on my secondary hd. Reading about how to solve the general fault problem i moved the game folder to the program files folder and the game started running. after that i made everything that Mackoy said and tried to install the 1.01 patch but it said the game was corrupted and i wasnt able to install. So i uninstalled (deleted the game file) the game and tried to extract directly to the program files folder but when i do that 7-zip and winrar 3.71 say that they cant extract the file to that folder, even when i move the .rar file to the program file and try to extract in there they say isnt possible. Any clues? or i'm just the luckiest guy over here? help me please gizmolio! thx for the attencion and sorry for the english, i'm brazilian

There's NO adware, trojans, or viruses on here and I've installed, and played, about 15 of Skull's releases. You're a ****, chimp d00d. Isn't it possible someone seeding could taint a file? Patoooooo: before you delete the game, delete the registry entries related to the game by clicking 'delete_game_from_registry' found in the readme folder. Then delete the game folder and extract to simple path like: D:\Games (another folder named Rainbow Six Vegas 2 will be created automatically by winrar) so that it becomes D:\Games\Rainbow Six Vegas 2.

Everything installs fine, it would crash on 1680x1050 then I changed to 1440x900 and I played through up to the convention center. Now it will start to load and just crash on a regular basis, help!!

There are no viruses in this torrent. I've scanned multiple times with NOD32, (Best antivirus program out as of this moment) and nothing has been found. So all of you need to stop complaining about these invisible viruses.

To open the file use winrar. Download either from www.rarlabs.com or from here: http://www.mininova.org/tor/1091193
The .nfo file even ****ing tells you how to do this... but then I guess if you don't know how to extract compressed files then you don't know how to open a .nfo file in anything other than the system information window.

This Game is so bad, u will think Hitler was a Comedian. I used peazip for extraction and i had same sh.. error fault protection message.
Just copy the **** Game to c:/ and play. It worked, but the graphics and overall this Game is very strange...

@onchat4urosh - on 100% graphic card, 7300le is low end card, card for office not games.
On my 8500gt vegas runs good in 1024x768, in 800x600 runs great.
8500gt is not superb card but its med end card, med-cards r a lot better than any low end card.
Processor of course two. If u have single core cpu this could be a problem.
Unreal engine 3 likes dual core cpus but first card when u get better card 8600gt or something u will have instant boost in frames per/s.

hello the game extracted ok then when i press set up it gets to 66% then my avast antivirus pops up letting me know about (Tremmor 4000) so its not a total clean copy so i looked up Tremmor 4000 on google and its not serious so with that in mind i disabled avast and insalled the game ok and removed Tremmor 4000 later after installation the game works fine great game but just a warning people.

Ok....I downloaded this yesterday, and it took 10+hours in total...but it didn't work. It said general protection fault history: then i read a comment saying to use 7-Zip the entire extraction process. So i am downloading it again. But this time it is going alot slower.

there is no problem at all the story mode is all fine i have even completed the game all u hav to do is after u hav extraced the winrar file (in 7 zip)
u need to copy the file in to your progam files and click on the setup and wait for it to finish and then itwill do it.

Well it works for me and hopefully for you. Just upgrade your driver to its latest version.Mine was a GeForce 6600GT the update on the website works for all series 6 models from 5100-9800.

If you're under vista, make sure you extracted and ran setup.bat when decompressing the game as Administrator.
Or : go into your registry and make sure your InstallDir attribute of R6Vegas2 keys points to the correct location on your hard drive.
Look at comment 411.
Or : Download a patch (e.g. 1.03) using the game Launcher. Then it will tell you "Install path not found". Go to your User/Apps/Local/Temp directory and find a file named "Ubi***.tmp", move it elsewhere, extract it with winrar.
You will then find in the directory extracted a setup.exe file.
It's the patch setup file. Double click and it should work fine.
Or : I don't have any other ideas

I have under various names over the years uploaded and downloaded and used hundreads of progs/apps..... Am I the only one who has had this problem....?
It downloads fast and without error....BUT
It just keeps unpacking itself EVEN AFTER following the "error" doc...
It unpacks 20+ times without...WITHOUT installing anything...

Avast found a worm Tremor 4000. Shortly there after the installation failed. I tried the reloaded release works great i dont think its worty the risk.

My anti-virus software detected "Tremor-4000" whyle unpacking the file ~temp1.

This torrent works great. I downloaded the whole thing in about 8 hours, then extracted it and got the general protection error everyone else was getting, even with 7zip. I then extracted it to c:\program files\ isntead, and it worked fine. I then added the map gift pack, and found out how to patch it thanks to http://www.mininova.org/com/1313159#comment883694. I now have the latest patch, with the map gift pack. GREAT job gizmolio!

man.. i'm looking forward to buy this game.. but it keeps crashing. new games that deserved my shelves are assassin's creed, crysis, deadspace, fallout 3, left4dead, mirror's edge, nfs prostreet, nwn, tomb raider underworld (most expensive like $60), etc.... man vegas 2 could've been on my shelves. im not even sure if i get the game and get the patch would fix the crashing.. i read from forums nobody came up with a clear solution... oh well.. on to next game.

So after reading through all the comments, I'm having a problem not listed here.
When trying to rebuild the game using setup.bat I'm getting an error saying
~temp2.DAT access denied, setup failed.
I've deleted, and re-extracted the game several times, but I'm always receiving this error while trying to rebuild the game. Any know what I can do or why this might be happening? Thanks.

First time I picked up a virus from Skullptura...
I have both Eset 4.0 and Kaspersky, and both reported viruses in here.

probably a variant of Win32/TrojanDropper.Agent trojan cleaned by deleting - quarantined
Don't believe me? well there you go.
If anyone knows anything more about this, please do report.
Until someone can figure this out, I'll download the larger file and hopefully won't have this problem.

I have dl'd this perfect rip on 2 seperate occaions and it still works great.
Just wanted to ask Skullptura if you can upload the patches as the ones from the official sites don't work with this rip. Not for me anyway.
