I'm using VLC and the video is definitely lagging/choppy. Am I missing a new codec release?

why they use mkv , please MF use avi, there no subs in there, heck I can't even open it

For anyone who is using VLC and is getting a lagged file and with no subs, don´t erase the file, download the CCC Pack and use it, when you install it go to Start/Ccombined Comunity Codec pack/Players and execute Zoom player, then you will be able to see it normaly , just maximize it if its too little for you.

Latest version of CCCP works perfectly. Gattai: Don't listen to people with slow computers/bad setups and release in avi/xvid. H264 is the best way to do HD, that is why Blu-Ray and HD-DVD use it. Excellent quality btw.

Ok...
Video Quality: 10/10 Flawless.
Subs: 7.5/10
There were sections where subs were just...MISSING. The beginning, and at the end when the girl and Sheryl start singing. I had to watch another fansubbed version in lower quality to get what they were singing. AIA I-Z's.
Oh and the movie runs fine on my laptop. My Dell Vostro is currently running under one of Santa Rosa's later chips so my laptop's not the fastest, but it's not an old museum artifact.

Thanks for the info on Zoom Player. I had no idea what I was missing with watching mkv animes. I always just thought the subs were messed up (when using vlc). Now I get it! Thanks again! Great anime thus far.

Watching mine using WMP 11 (yes, that's Windows media player). Great sub except the song subs for Sheryl which are missing. I-Z's (Infinite Zero) has it, but it didn't bother me. Regardless if Gattai can ADD the lyrics of the song, it's a keeper compared to I-Z's.
Download BOTH gattai's and I-Z's then decide in the end which you want to keep.

I'll stick with Gattai. Quality wins out. Include beginning and song subs, and it's a COMPLETE winner no doubt.
