Is this any good? The original movie was worth watching, but I'm sceptical about something with Benjamin Bratt in it

The original was excellent: why remake it? If it follows the path of other remakes (Italian Job, The Omen, Oceans x, etc.), it'll be just complete waste of ***** and time.

My info comes from the A&E website they say the film is due to be aired May 26th and 27th and their taking per orders for the DVD now... thats all I know about it hope this helps...

as expected from extv the qual is great

I havent had time to do anything but skip threw it
it looks like tyhe normal drawn out made for TV flick....
I guess we'll all just have to watch both parts to see if its any good????

How can it be a Regenesis copycat? the original Micheal Crighton book of the 'Andromeda Strain' came out in 1969, followed by the Film of the same name in 1971. I believe 'Regenesis' was 2004. So surely 'Regenesis' is an 'Andromeda Strain' copy, you numb skull.

Original film was fantastic, if this new version is half as good it will be worth a watch.

The subject of the movie is great , given it's a rewriten script, still its nice but the movie itself (director's work and the actors) are poorly chosen ,.
In the city that everyone is supose to be dead they show a shot from sky (23:12 to 23.17) before the scientist land with the helicopter, there is a car driving around all dead city (probably all on it's own without a driver, given the cars dont die from viruses an such!!!! looool)
specially Benjamin Bratt ****s :'( . any way the rip is allright v8 a8.5

I LOVE the original movie and was worried about a remake.

Having watched the first half I am well pleased with only a few minor issues to the negative - I hope the second half holds together as well.

I am also worried about the thought of a series - will they ditch a reasonable conclusion to this two-parter in favor of a lead-in to a series? Are we going to be left with an endless series of futile efforts to contain/destroy andromeda ala The Invaders?

I am having trouble downloading it. I click to download and after a few minutes it says error no access. I tried someone else other then extv and same thing but I dont have a problem downloading anything else but andromeda. Any sugestions?
