Congraturlations Razor1911, you blew it again. It's not the first time one of your cracks doesn't work. In fact it was a bad sign from the start that the cracked exe is 6mb bigger than the original one. Thanks...

LR4004Archer let me state a few things for you:
1> some software programs are very difficult to crack - take halo2 pc for example or Nero 8 which is notoriously difficult to completely crack
2> you didnt pay for this when you really should have, don't take what you get for free, for granted and quit moaning
3> Im pretty sure some cracker somewhere is working on a crack that does work, that is, if indeed this one doesn't
4> instead of moaning, say thanks for trying at least, or people like razor will not bother doing things like this in future! does he get paid to take abuse? NO. does he get paid to upload illegal files for your pleasure? NO.
So shut up in future, and if it really doesn't work, simply state so and/or reasons why it doesn't instead of flaming your **** on here.

i think this game will take a long time to download on any connection
I have a 16mb hookup and i get all 16mb i download files on a regular basis at over 1mb/s but i bet this takes at least 4-5 days EVEN when you leeching peices of <rap (you know who you are) get lost and the seeders emerge.
but for now in it's early stages i'm looking at a week minimum

I apologize for my first post here. It was not the crack it was me. I installed in on english and chose us as my country, but that was not true. Wanted to play it in english...now I installed it in my native language and everything works.
And I know I shouldn't moan about something I get for free...but...well it's in the nature of people I guess. ^^ Everything you get - even for free - has to be working, otherwise you get ****ed. At least I mostly do. ^^

Well there is always the latest X-Plane which totals to 60GBs if you get the sceneries..
12.5 GB is humongous, but hopefully this will live up to the Turok name.

Well...in post #15 I apologized for my bad language in post #2, but in the end it seems I was right after all.

I dl Turok-Razor1911_[btarena.org]_[mininova] torrent and it's infected with a trojan. Not sure if it's this one, but be careful. When mounting the image don't let it autorun. It installs the ATI2SGAV.EXE trojan to windows system directory and makes a backup in system restore. Also adds a registry entry to explorer run. Basically it hijacks your browser.
The trojan is hidden inside direct x. on the first dvd.

INFECTED!!!
AVG Antivirus 8.0 detected 2 files infected with "Worm/Autoit.BUD" in the directx folder on dvd 1. "Dec2005_d3dx9_28_x64.exe" and "Dec2005_d3dx9_28_x64.exe:\ati2sgav.exe", I'm assuming the second is a file compressed into the first.
I'd like to think that razor1911 isn't in the business of infecting people. 29 years doing what he does...and 99% of the time the files are clean. I'm guessing some a-hole is just tacking a virus on his file and using the 1911 reputation to spread his filth.
It might be possible to mount the image and copy the files to your hard drive and exclude the directx folder from the copy, but my AV program detected the virus the second the autoplay started. In other words as soon as I mounted the image files on the disc began to execute. Unless you're brave and experienced I would just avoid this file alltogether.

With the exception of the attached virus, the game is running well so far for me. To install this game without becoming infected do the following...
1. Get some antivirus software
2. Disable auto insert notification. To do this in Daemon tools, right click the tray icon, click "Virtual CD/DVD Rom", click "Device 0", click "Set Device Parameters", make sure the box next to "Auto insert notification" is NOT checked. This means the disc will not autoplay when inserted, the icon or disc label will not update when inserted. To view the contents of the disc, right click on the drive in "My Computer" and "Explore".
3. Make a folder on your desktop and copy the contents of both discs to that folder. Make sure that you exclude the setup\DirectX folder from the copy as this is the folder containing the virus.
Install the game from the copy on your desktop. Ignore errors about missing files (virus).
