Contains Trojan in the executable! but the crack works GREAT; so what you do is google it and download (shareware) then use the crack included

one more thing; it is basically a useless very OLD looking GUI and functionality; might as well forget the whole download

""""FILES ARE CLEAN!!! USE (scanned by) Kaspersky or ESET NOD32, and stop posting false alarms! (propably from junky AVG)""""

here is your clean! ---svehost.exe win32/Rbot Trojan---

no 1 is posting false alarms - u use an AV and i use another + i added in my comments a SIMPLE and VERY effective solution;
my AV reports it as trojan - yes it is AVG!

<-- you are an idiot... it's interface is not only upto date but it's functionality is second to none.

As for if it has or has not got an infection I'll download a copy and check it myself and post the results.

Ok.. for anyone wondering.. the attatched download "tcmdr703.exe" is 3,118,893 bytes in size with an MD5 of 9d98dc93d394f92d6e40a2919017c4fc

The authentic file is properly named is totalcommander_7-03.exe and is 2,165,504 bytes in size with an MD5 of fa7cfb0025bf51c42ba131491ae21bd7

Therefore w/o even checking further any half witted ***** can see there is something up with the file.

Furthermore the fact that the tcmdr703.exe included is NOT a SFX rar file is also a dead giveaway since total commander installs are a modified rar sfx format. (A casual scan of the exe also reveales it's compressed using inflate 1.1.4 which is also not used by Christian)

Now for those wanting this and are too cheap to actually pay Christian for his hard work (He's one of the few I'd say actually earns the few $ he gets and the app is top notch).. you can download the authentic installer here:

The key file included within this rar is valid ... so u can keep that part of the download.. and **** the rest.

As for the virus... the exe does indeed contain Win32/Rbot trojan within an internal avi2.3.exe file (probably some lame ass **** included by the releasing group)

btw... if you are too damned lazy to download the proper 2mb file this infected copy leaves the authentic copy in your windows profile temp dir.

As for AV.. get NOD32 or AVP/Kasperski as your 1st pick. AVG for free isn't too bad though (and is def better than any Symantec bloatware ****)

Ohh and rogerdubai is still an idiot for posting what in essence ammounted to his personal opinion about the application and in such as way as if to make such **** actual fact.

Yeah, do what Shalimar says. Download the exe from the official site and use just the key that comes with this torrent.

And a side note, xplorer² is far good looking and easier to use than this Total Commander thingy. YMMV though.

10.Posted by Shalimar on Apr 27 2008 at 17:32

xplorer² ? Ohh please... the whole explorer interface ****s to begin with... granted xplorer² is an improvement on M$'s **** but i for one (of many) infintely prefer the dual pane of TC.. sure it's layout is in essence the same as Norton Commander (for those of you that remember it).. but also bear in mind it's faster and more stable than explorer or xplorer² (which isn't a true replacement.. it''s just anew gui and features running on the same base code frame). TC actually bypasses Explorer for much of what it does.

Think of it this way.. xplorer² is the equivalent of the many "browsers" out there that simply run their GUI on the IE engine.. and therefore **** just as badly overall. Where as a replacement for such would be Firefox or Opra etc.. totally coded on their own and they don't use any of IE's ****.

11.Posted by bazza2008 on Apr 27 2008 at 18:33

Well, I dunno about "own engines", you might be right. xplorer² can do dual panes, many tabs + tree view. I like the GUI better, that's all. TC looks Win3.1'ish.

BTW, can I queue individual actions in TC?

12.Posted by Shalimar on Apr 27 2008 at 20:25

I do know about the underlying engines used for the apps being discussed.

GUI preference is just that.. As for looks I'd disagree about 3.1ish.. since TC uses all the same gui principals as explorer (and/or themes as they are used if at all). I would say however it is different that the typical 'folder' look which i personally despise.

btw for anyone reading this they are called DIRECTORIES not folders.. only M$ could be so damned arrogant as to try to force a new name on something that is pre-existing to their ****py software.

As for queuing.. TC does not have that natively (yet).. but instead can be used via plug-ins such as TCSCript Editor which in the end are infinitely more powerful though they will take slightly more effort to master in the beginning. Personally I still **** together good old batch files routinely to do a ton of various tasks.. but that also could be my being old school and not a winbloze baby.

Note for mini nova admins.. why in hell are words like " t o s s " and " ******* " being censored? Has MN suddenly become preschool???

14.Posted by kozjegyzo on Jun 29 2008 at 18:55

Just to add my opinion. TC is the most stable and versatile file system manager around, if you say it looks old and win-explorer is better, it just shows that you have no idea about IT. TC when used right can replace explorer fully. I use it just so I don't have to put up with all the windows stuff I hate - mostly freezing and that beloved "windows explorer encountered a problem and will shut down" message. Curiously I have never got a failure message from TC... ever. It is the firs application I install on a new pc, and it works wonders! It has come a long way from it's Norton Commander days and the new look is cooler than the old was.
So please don't bash if you don't know what you are talkin about...

PEACE
