blo*dy hell people the 350mb is good enough quality anyway so why put a slightly better one that is 3times the size, your doing a great Job Eztv but i have to agree with 'PumaNaruto' when he say thats 1gb is a overkill for a 40min show
12.Posted by pierdzioch on May 16 2008 at 13:08
Are U all crazy?? 350MB quality is rubbish esp. when U have HDTV. I would rather wait 3 times longer to watch excellent quality than look at low-res **** with ZERO details.
13.Posted by Babasonicos on May 16 2008 at 13:08
it's not "slightly" better quality you muppet. its a lot better quality, and if you've got an HD TV (even HD Ready) it's worth you getting this version.
if you get it and you still can't tell the difference, try going to the opticians this afternoon, come home and then try again
plus, in a couple of years this'll be scene standard, so get used to it
14.Posted by Babasonicos on May 16 2008 at 13:09
might wanna cut down on the bud mate, then you'll be able to tell the difference

THX for this superb HDTV Download..... You made my day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
17.Posted by palgo47 on May 16 2008 at 14:19
some of us do not have the luxury of owning such hsbb like you guys thus we depend on lower size file..
18.Posted by enixx on May 16 2008 at 14:29
Hey is somebody knows where can i find english subtitles for that 720p version?
19.Posted by Stinkbomb on May 16 2008 at 15:36
Yeah clearly some ppl need to upgrade their monitors if they can't see the point of these newfangled .mkv files
The extra filesize is a non-issue with the size and cheapness of harddrives these days, and once you start watching these, there is NO going back...
Since no-ones said it yet on this page comments, use VLCplayer to view .mkv files. No need to get a codec pack, this one will do just fine. Get it here:

again, such funny comments, keep them flowing you haxors , this is too funny

lol @ people using an HDTV with their computer. Don't you know this lessens the quality to begin with? So getting HD stuff won't really matter because using a computer to watch stuff on an HD TV is **** quality anyways.
23.Posted by bodometh on May 16 2008 at 16:51
I prefer 350MB versions. Despite worst
quality, it's better when torrent is low
weight.
But also thanks for that.

Great quality, as always! Thanks!
And here's my opinion about the 1GB vs 350MB discussion:
It's very simple, if you don't think it's worth it to download the 1GB version, don't! But if you're gonna watch it on the computer (if your monitor supports 1280x800 or higher, which it probably does), on a LCD/Plasma TV, or on a projector that supports WXGA/HD 720 (if you have one, you know what that means), I suggest you give it a try. The 350MB version is a good enough quality if you're gonna watch on a tube TV, then you really don't need the 1GB 720p version. It's all about the resolution: the 1GB version has more pixels for the same image... if you don't notice that, just don't waste your time and HD! If you are into HDDVD, this is similar to that, but it's still lower quality than Bluray, which is 1080p (a 40 minute mkv episode would be somewhere around 4GB).
Hope this brings peace! =P
eztv, thanks again for the up! =]

Why are there links to subtitles? Isn't this an english version? *** is going on with EZTV this week, everything is different... not saying its bad, just wondering if this is really EZTV.
But the big question is: why do I need subtitles?
28.Posted by tiagogmc on May 16 2008 at 18:26
Lots of ppl (including myself) like to watch with subtitles (kinda like "closed caption"
... xD
But yeah, it's in english, don't worry! ^^
29.Posted by chillindude on May 16 2008 at 18:39
thanks for what your doing. but please in future make it a smaller file as you normally do as i've been waiting all day and its killing me. especially when its a finale episode. didn't expect to be waiting this long
30.Posted by gusmcpherson on May 16 2008 at 19:11
thanks a lot dude

"Bu torrenti Adem Bur arkadasima adar, kendisine HDTV kalitesinde bir lost dizisi izlesin derim"

Hey guys, .mkv files work perfect with windows media player 11 + k-lite codec pack. I recommend it

Los archivos .mkv funcionan perfecto con el wmp11 + k-lite codec pack. Yo lo uso asi, lo recomiendo

I've always downloaded the 350mb avi's thinking the quality was good, and it is. My old computer was rubbish and couldn't cope with the MKV's. Well, i have a new computer now with very very high specs and i must say, the quality of the 720p mkv's are incredible! Its a shame only a handful of people download them cus there aren't enough seeds to get a good download speed... well im happy to wait over night for it to finish because yes, the quality is amazing! GO HD!
Good work EZTV... KEEP IT UP! WITHOUT YOU I CAN'T WATCH LOST!
And for the record... don't download all these silly codec packs, its not necessary. Get VLC Media Player here:
http://filehippo.com/download/710ccc41f58cf1818bf7514fa3c75197/download/
It will play any audio and video file known to man.
37.Posted by tedeca on May 17 2008 at 00:16
Bad file for PPC Mac (even big ones) : VLC will open it but VERY bad viewing experience. about one tenth of frames are played, audio is not synchronized, error message spam...
plus it takes forever to download
I have a dual 2ghz with 4go ram
so long eztv
38.Posted by Alexthorne on May 17 2008 at 00:45
VLC open MKV with NO problems as long as you have good specs. i have 2.8ghz intel 2 duo, 4Gb RAM and 1024mb nvidia series 9. I guess your graphics card isnt very up-to-date. The audio IS in sync and it sounds awesome through my 7.1 Creative Gigaworks system. Welcome to the 21st century.
39.Posted by sominus on May 17 2008 at 01:49
None use the great KMPlayer here
I don't get it, ppl download those new games with giant PC requirements and complain about these mkv releases?
I have a dual core 1.6 with 2gb ram and an old GF7600 256, and it plays fine, no synch problems.
As they say: once you watch a 720p episode, there's no going back
(especially on LOST with all those great landscapes)
It's not slightly better, it's a huge diference.

I understand why some people want the 1GB ep but for me It's not worth it. I don't have the HD monitor and I'm not going to buy one to watch T.V. a week earlier on my P.C.
I'm suprised because I think Eztv usually does put up 2 versions of the file and you cant deny that the demand for the 350mb was a lot higher than that of the larger HD version.
Come on Eztv, be a star like you always have and keep the 350mb files coming.
To all you people with your HD monitors -
41.Posted by Stardog on May 17 2008 at 02:20
Another vote for 350mb files only.
I can play HD files but I'm just not interested in something 3x the filesize for something that I'll watch for 40 minutes.
42.Posted by beano311 on May 17 2008 at 04:40
I was getting errors and the video wasn't playing on VLC:
main error: no video filter module matched "scale"
main error: no suitable vout module
main error: cannot delete object (358, (null)) with children
deinterlace error: cannot open vout, aborting
main error: failed to create video output
As soon as I turned off the Video Scaling Filter setting (under Preferences -> Video -> Filters), the video came up and it looks great.
Anyone who says it's not worth it to download the 1GB 720p version obviously have never seen one (unless you get slow transfer rates or just don't want to wait a little longer).
And @Mykee... you are a ***** and obviously have no clue what you're talking about. Over HDMI (or even DVI) there is no loss in quality at all.
43.Posted by Trio-sama on May 17 2008 at 10:02
i watch all my series and movies in eighter 720p or 1080p (i have a 37" full-hd samsung LCD tv, connected to my PC with DVI-HDMI cable) once i started.. i could never turn back.. the only reason i still occasionally download the 350mb versions is because they are easier and faster to conver to .mp4 so i can play them on my ipod.
but for the discussion..... there are ppl who watch the 350 mb version (**** knows why) becsue of impatience, no hd tv, or w/e.. and there are ppl who watch the 720p or even the 1080p versions,
i hear ppl saying.. "**** off with the 720p versions" "omg lozers 350mb version ****s" ... and complain to EZTV..
hes the one doing all this stuff for us.. FOR ******* I N G FREE
no one here has the right to complain.. bunch of fools.
most usefull would be, if EZTV releases 2 versions (3 PLEASE!!! id like the 1080p versions
) so we can all watch what we like..
and now all u lowlifes who complain.. **** and watch the episode.. its good as ever.
44.Posted by tramsit on May 18 2008 at 01:58
Yeah it ran on my cpu, but made it overheat after 10mins of watching in VLC only program that would run, not complaining my cpu is ****, but I am wondering why it is matroska as it will not run on my ps3 and now I can't watch it, so I had to watch the 350mb on ps3, but the 350mb version looks way better on ps3 than cpu, It must have some sorta upscale thing. Can we get this in an avi. or an mp4. next week maybe?

45.Posted by tramsit on May 18 2008 at 02:06
Sorry had to add this in, maybe if some of n()()bs actually like looked around a little bit youd notice the 350mb version was posted way before this one, dopes.
46.Posted by defdigital on May 18 2008 at 04:17
Stick with the usual codecs already... It's bad enough there's more than one format.

the kmplayer http://www.kmplayer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8351 is the best hands down and together (but not really necessary)with klite codecs http://www.free-codecs.com/K_Lite_Codec_Pack_download.htm (just play settings at install)is all u need for these new file formats.
