This crack is no good even for demo purposes. Takes about 4 seconds to read every folder - presumably caused by invalid digital signatures in the two cracked files (according to info on Dopus forum).

The software doesn't work. Their is smart technology, as after a successful installation, the software automatically connects to the internet and validates the license and disables it.

It will work well on PCs without internet or otherwise, the other alternative is to do a fresh installation on a clean PC (on which it has never been installed before), disconnect from internet, go to options under "Maintenance" and disable automatic updates and then paste the license!

On my PC, it was already installed earlier and it invalidates all licenses. I will probably be able to tweak this up only after I get a license, which can work for one instance and allow me to use the software once.

1. Uninstall any previous version, if installed, with an advanced uninstaller.

2. Restart the system.

3. Install Dopus, with the options you want.

4. Make sure your firewall is actively blocking dopus.exe and dopusrt.exe from accessing the net.

5. Install the license or crack.

6. Restart the system.

7. Turn off automatic updates, including the 'silent' option. (it gets switched on by itself, a couple of times after install... the true protection is your firewall)

8. Make sure, you never deactivate your firewall, when dopus.exe or dopusrt.exe is running.

Does anyone know which domain Directory Opus uses to send registration info? Maybe we can just modify the hosts file to block that domain.
