Why is it strange? If you're referring to its size, it's small because it has been "scrubbed" with the WiiScrubber tool.
On another note, how awesome are these lego games?! Can't wait, thanks for the fantastic up.

It's fine now
Was coming in at 1k for many hours, and looking through the peers I was connected to, they were getting either 0k (most) or 60k (2 or 3).
Came back today and all good!
Yeah lego games work really well considering the simplicity of the animation...thanks too.

Yes you do need to get your wii chipped if you do want to play "backed up" games from the original discs..

I just downloaded and burned this torrent, but when I tried to run it on my WII it asked me to preform an system update. is this safe? I have an pal WII with the latest software version. plz help

ikkydebeste,
My girlfriend and I had a similar problem with a Mark Kart Wii DVD.
We have the Wii with a D2CKey chip. I was worried about using a downloaded game to update the Wii due to the region incomparability.
I had heard that it is okay to update a Wii with a D2CKey chip as long as it is updates with a DVD from the same region. So we used a legitimate PAL Wii DVD to perform the system update and all has been fine.
The legitimate (i.e. not downloaded/burnt) PAL Wii DVD we used was 'Wii Fit'.
There are a number or ways to get yourself a copy for minimal outlay:
1- borrow from friend
2- hire from video/game shop
3- buy from an outlet that allows returns
4- i'm sure you'll figure something out
Good luck!,
Blinten

Works fine on Argon 1.8/PAL Wii. The game burns flawlessly with Imgburn at 4x and reads fine. Used Verbatim DVD-R.
Game itself is good. A lot to explore - and certainly longevity in it. Am a little disappointed there's almost no difference between this and Lego Star Wars in terms of the gameplay and functionality. If you've spent 50 hours completing Star Wars... there's not much new here... However, if you aren't as sad as I am, then you'll find this a very refrehing and original game.
Note: THIS IS NOT MULTI 5 - only English and Danish (Dansk) are available!!!
Overall -
Torrent: 10/10. LOVE these scrubbed ISO's - keep 'em coming!!
(Never disappointed with these guys!)
Game: 7/10

And FYI - for those of you worried about it asking for an update, so long as you have your Wii up to date (do it through Wii Menu settings) you'll be absolutely fine. If you have a PAL Wii and perform an update directly from a game - nothing will happen. You only need to worry if you have an NTSC/JAP Wii and are trying to perform an update from a PAL region disc (or vice-versa). Even then, you only get duplicate Weather/News Channels - and they can be removed with the "dupliate channel remover Twilight Hack" anyway.

- Most likely your modchip firmware is not up-to-dateand not recognising that an updte has to occur. Many people had this error with Smash Brothers Brawl and Mario Kart Wii Just check these comment pages to find more.

- I don't know what the hell you are even doing here if you don't know you have to have your Wii chipped to play backup games. Muppet.

I have mario kart that requested the update to be installed when the disk was inserted. Can you download update from the wii menu or will it detect the chip?
16.Posted by doovdu on Jun 08 2008 at 02:30
Guys/gals...it's worth pointing out that dupe channels is not the only potential side effect of updating from a non-region dvd.
Other, more serious side-effects can be:
1) Loss of access to your Wii's settings menu (semi brick)
2) Complete failure to boot, not even able to load an original (total brick)
There's good news for the former, 1, and that's some cool homebrew which is now tried and tested on all regions! Check it out:

anyone know if a ppf patch has been released as this has solved the #001 errors i have had in the past.

Hi Downloaded this torrent and it also asks if i want to do a system update, i have already updated the system via the wii internet to the latest software, but it still asks me to do an update why is this and can anyone tell me if it is in English.
Thanks

I had no problem with the #001 error (used to get that and then updated my Wii chip firmware) but do have an issue during Gameplay where my Wii wont read the disk at a certain point in the game and then crashes.
I have reburned it nice and slow using both Nero and ImgBurn but it still cuts out in the same spot each time.
Anyone else have this issue? Could it be the quality of the disk?
Frustrating as looks like a fun game!

i have updated on the wii menu but still have the same #001 error anybody got any ideas?? plz!!
21.Posted by doovdu on Jun 10 2008 at 21:02
I used to get similar problems with Mario Kart, #19
Turned out that my burner was the problem (was about 3 or 4 years old!), since then I have success with various media on a new LG drive...but would recommend Verbatim-R if you can.

Hello, can anyone help, I have a new wiikey installed, and the games that I have backed up so far using "rawdump" have all worked fine, but this is my 1st attempt at a d-load, and the file size has come out @ exactly the same, the game partly loads then comes up with error #0001, i have extracted the file then used nero to burn an iso onto verbatim discs.
any advice please!!
23.Posted by minimelb on Jun 11 2008 at 02:25
Thanks #21, will give it a try, just seems odd for i to fail in the same place on 3 different DVD's, but perhaps it is the burner! Again thanks!
24.Posted by finsuk on Jun 11 2008 at 09:59
Why is it trying to do a system update when my my wii is already up to the latest ver according to a menu system update thingy.
25.Posted by shep6 on Jun 11 2008 at 17:42
Has anyone else had the problem after extracting the files from the downloaded rar file, when then trying to extract the file that is placed in the "ISO" folder called "legoindi(compress)" you get the error "archive is unknown or damaged"??
26.Posted by SuperSide on Jun 12 2008 at 16:35
Theres A ppf Patch here to Remove the 001 Error.

Right, I'm struggling.
Recently bought a brand spanking new PAL Wii (three weeks old).
Got it chipped at the weekend (£80 at a really dodgy market). Advised that everything should OK but it was £80 instead of £30 because I needed a new chip.
Downloaded Wii Sport Island, wrote the ISO file to DVD using Image Burner.
Verified the disk, everything hunkdory.
Put the disk into my Wii and the Wii doesn't recognise the disk.
Any suggestions anyone? Have I been ripped for my £80?

#29 if not doing so, try on Verbatim-R media, burn at 4x, don't enable verify - you can do that by seeing if it works anyway!
Also, if your media is poor then try burning a GameCube iso...the Wii seems to be less fussy with these, especially when...try a different burner, my old LG was 50% useless, my new LG is 100% useful (only fails now are a few non-region)
If all that fails, return to market and ask them to test it. Chances are it will come back working I would imagine.
Which chip did they install? It's true that old Wii's (D2b) cost less to mod, but D2C has been around for almost a year I think?

My first scrubbed wii backup downloaded,
Works awesome, yes its in in English and Danish, just like Lego Star wars. Its a tiny step up in graphics and game play,
How do you tell if its in English?
Not much info contained in NFO file thats for sure(open with notepad if you are new) and in Spanish as well, but hey if its a PAL one it should almost be in English, hopefully other downloaders will be helpful for all of us backing up games
Thanks ESPALWII, keep up the good work.
