the main reason alot of uploaders dont use x.264 is because it doesnt play on a stand alone DivX dvd player and AVI does. x.264 is better quality but isnt as simple as good ol' AVI. until x.264 is the standard and it is complatible on pretty much all dvd players we'll continue to see AVI.

For instance, people like me who put all of their movies and tv seasons on a big external hard drive and then watch them on their dvd players cant use x.264. AVI is just too simple and perfect. in case you were wondering, I have 1 500GB HDD for my movies and 1 500GB HDD for my tv seasons. both are almost full. over 235 movies and 85 seasons of tv shows.

.avi is so sick. why not ripping for h.264/mp4 and having a brilliant quality?

axxo's releases are such a so-so. i deleted all of them in my pc and compared to newartriot, unisonband and bluerockrg releases and they were much better than axxo/fxg/fxg/klaxxon etc.

(Computer it plays fine.) What did you do differently this time? Please go back to the usual way you rip, they play great that way.

although with this download i had some problems. i usually play all your downloads through my PS3 yet for some reason it said the file was unrecognizable. it did work on my laptop but i could not play it on the big tv :'( . has anyone else had the same problem?

People having trouble should try this trick: get latest VirtualDub, open the file. From "Go" menu -> "Go To Frame..." -> "Jump to frame number:" 600. From "Edit" -> "Set selection end". First 600 frames are now selected, press Delete to remove them (bye bye "COLUMBIA" logo). Make sure "Direct stream copy" is enabled on both Video and Audio menus. Also make sure interleaving is enabled in "Audio" -> "Interleaving...", "Preload" 500 ms, "Interleave audio every" 1 frames, "Delay audio track by" 0 ms. From "File" -> "Save old format AVI...", that's it. For me it's working without removing anything, both on PC and DivX/DVD player, but there is a problem with audio at the start that less capable players may fail to address. Removing first 600 frames should do it.

No wonder, he is very popular......
If u don't like his Rips, why do u download it in the first place...

And, for the record, I downloaded Newartriot Rip which was in MP4 (which u guys consider superior) just to check the difference....
The quality was the same as Axxo although it had a larger size......
Complete wastage of bandwidth and precious data allowance......

Fans of Axxo, don't listen to the Anti-Axxo Propaganda....

Excellent as usual. I have a question for anyone who can help. When I burn my downloads the upper and lower margins (widescreen format) are larger than they should be. I'm using Ulead MovieFactory 6, Vista. Thanks.

Ditto, I had the same problem with this axxo film. All the others stream/copy just fine to my ps3 via tiversity. But this one (21) isn't working. Something must of changed or something corrupted when he encoded it =)
