download VLC player; and c if it works by dragging the folder into it.
(mine didnt; so i do this)

use CCCP codec pack...
change the sub filename into video filename...
then, impossible that you have any problem...

well the movie would have ****ed in english not that i hate dub's but they would have used cheap voices like the anime and this is coming from a guy who likes bleach dub 
and another gay thing is that they are going to release the DN L: Change The World in 2009 
but at least they are releasing a dvd in Hong Kong WITH ENG SUBS in 4 more days(June 26, 2008)

FXG! There are only subtitles for 1h30min The 20 min which is left is hard to understand when you dont speak japanese! =p

It should be noted that the included subs are terribly translated, to the point where you can barely call it English. Sometimes it's hard to understand what some of the characters mean, as the translator uses some odd words to describe things. For instance, he uses 'heart paralyse' to say 'heart attack', not to mention that there are lots of misspellings and very little sentence structure. "lt's unexpected that all the things happened
according to the written in the Death Note" Oh, and the person who made the srt file wrote all the capital I's as lower case L's for some reason, /shrug.

Viz will be releasing this movie onto US DVD on September 16th, with an English dub done by the English voice actors of the anime series.

I had to rename the srt title to the same name as video (avi) to get convertx to dvd to work with subs included

Death Note was adapted into a two-part live-action film released in 2006. The two motion pictures were directed by Sh?suke Kaneko, produced by Nippon Television, and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures Japan. The first movie, Death Note, focuses on episodes 1-9. The second movie, Death Note the Last Name, picks up where the first movie ends, carrying the story through episode 25. A third movie, L: Change the WorLd, premiered in February 2008. It is a spin-off focusing on the last twenty-three days of L's life as he tries to solve the Kira case.

FXG has just released the third part of this. Thanks FXG!! But i have to agree with MuffinManXIV on the subs. It's really badly translated, has awful grammar and many typo/mistakes. One instance through the movie there aren't any subs for atleast 5 minutes which was a pain to understand.
FXG or anyone, can you upload better subs for this?!

The subtitles work only after renaming "Death Note[Eng][Subs].srt" file into "Death Note[2006]DvDrip[Jap]-FXG.srt"

this is horribly subbed I must say, the whole thing is jumbled like when someone says " so and so has died" it reads, so and so has dead" lucky enough I can read somewhat fast as well otherwise I wouldn't be able to keep up while trying to figure out what was really being said, who ever subbed this should have taken their time and made it clear. People do it in thousands of different anime.
its worth the download but honestly your better off finding one subbed my someone else
