Nope. This game requires a dedicated graphics card which means your MacBook along with MacBook Air and Mac Mini model Macs will not be able to run it.
MacBook Pro, iMac and Mac Pro models are fine.

Thank you very much for this torrent. It downloaded fine. I had one minor problem with the instructions,HELP ME PLEASE! as it is stopping me from running the program as it needs the CD. How do I locate;

Every time after i enter the serial it says to check that the cd is in the drive how do i fix this?

Make shure you replaced the files and put them in the right place!, if you diddnt, you will have to re-do it. (read the original instructions cearfully!)
When you are copying and pasting the "BF2142.exe" and "SwiffPlayer.dll" files, make shure that you do this:
Find the BF2142 you installed, right click and go "show package contents"
Then go Contents/Resources
Then you will find ANOTHER "BF 2142", again, right click on it and go "show package contents".
From there go:
Contents/Resources/transgaming/c_drive/Program Files/Electronic Arts
Then paste the files in the "Battlefield 2142" folder
(Make sure to "REPLACE" the old files with the new!<hit replace on the window that will pop up>
Note: to anyone who cant find the BF 2142 file in their library, thats cause you need to start up the game at least once first!

the issue with checking th cd is before i can even install it. I am new with macs so any help would be greatly appreciated.

how is it before you install it?
Put the CD in, open the CD, then drag the folder to the location you want.
dosnt seem passable to need to put the cd key in before installing...

just unplug the internet cord (or use little snitch) , make sure it says "player" as the username, click log on, then choose go as offline player.

i put all the settings on high when i got it to work and it works fine on my macbook 2008 model

YOU NEED TO BLOCK THE INTERNET FOR PLAYING OFFLINE!!!!!!!
Either use little snitch to block bf 2142 from communicating, or just simply unplug/ disable your internet cord/source.
then start up bf 2142, it will say that it had error communicating and you will be able to play offline!

listen, it's sooooo easy, when you get a bit to know mac.
just do what the instruction file says (to come to Contents/Resoures and stuff RIGHT-CLICK on game icon and go "show package contents. follow the rest and when contents/resources come in the next steps again do the same.). u can change ur player EXATLY as it says. nothing more.
account name is 001 and password is aswell 001. if it asks you for an update or "we have noticed your internet connection is working again" click cancel. it'll all be fine. then click on the soldier 101 and enjoy the few laps you got.

i'm gonna check this site for a week from now and solve your problems. today is the july 30th.

vince, first i wanna make clear that you have to replace everything from the no-dvd folder as it says. if it asks you just say yes for all of the files.
if that doesnt work you could mount the image again and copy the game again and that whole story. try to replace it and all that stuff.
what i believe what you have done wrong is:
1. you accidently deleted a file
2. you copied the files wrong
3. you did something wrong while coping them,. maybe you said "no" when it asks you if it should replace the files (which were already there. the old ones, the originals from the game).
write me when you get any results. if its still not working we'll think of something

when we login with 001/001 or player/001 or anything.. it just says "Cannot find off local machine" it doesn't ask if we want to ogin again with our real account name.
your suggestions just don't work. its that simple. we don't get what u get. we just get "cannot find off local machine" plain and simple.

Make sure that the username is the same as the username of your profile!
and make sure there is NO password in the password slot.
th check the correct username of the profile, or to change it,
go: (User)/Library/Preferences/Battlefield 2142 Preferences/p_drive/My Documents/Battlefield 2142/0001, and open "profile.con" with "text Edit".

Hi Guys, It's very easy, just do like block31 says BUT with the user name 'Player', pass is '001'. I'm through to create a profile so it seems to be working.
if in doubt open the profile.con (in the profile folder) with 'textEdit and see what the username is, mine says 'Player'file.

1RuMMaGe, i got an imac 2 and it works. i'd say (if you already didnt delete it the dmg file) you try to re-install the game.
from my windows-expirience i would just re-install the whole pc, but with mac its more complicated.

hey its really surprising that nobody has worked a way around this...
On PC they did. you can find walkthroughs for ****** playing without an official serial
btw what do you need to do with lil snitch ? when I forbid access to any server to bf2142, it still tries to connect to the ea server i try to login in the first window. works ok if i just unplug my ethernet tho, i can play offline. without upgrades or anything :-(

In principle one should be able to play ****** provided 3 things:
1 We know which IP to block to make bf2142 believe that it is offline (or
maybe bf2142 gets the ******/offline status of the machine through some
environment variable rather than by pinging a remote machine... in that
case lil snitch is useless: is there someone out there who manages to play
offline with his cable plugged in, thorough using lil snitch ?)

2 we have a list of private servers. There is plenty. Im not sure tho how
to get more. I know just 3, accessible through Hamachi/HamachiX for
example (latter is pretty unstable btw)
3 we manage to make bf2142 see the hamachi-managed LAN.
I think thats how they do on PC, skipping step 1 cause they have a crack
that skips the first ****** test i think....

Hi, I'm new to Mac, when I try to copy the BF2142.exe and Swiftplayer.dll to the Battlefield 2142 folder, my Macbook Pro says the item BF2142.exe cannot be copied because the folder Battlefield 2142 cannot be modified. Any one know why or how to get around this?

Step 2
Copy the crack from the \Razor1911 dir into your installation directory.
Step 3
Un-compress Default_profile.zip into %USERPROFILE%\My Documents\Battlefield 2142\.
Then open %USERPROFILE%\My Documents\Battlefield 2142\Profiles\0001\Profile.con with a text editor and change its content to your likings. The following fields might be of interest:
Step 4
Start the game, when prompted by the login prompt, enter whatever you used for LocalProfile.setEAOnlineMasterAccount. If you didn't change anything in Profile.con this will be "Razor1911". You will be prompted by a box telling you are playing in offline mode, press 'OK'. Now select your profile and the game will start!

Last night after much mucking around with the programs files i managed to crack the game so that u can unlock all maps and weapons in single player offline mode
first download this file

(it does require crossover to install however)
create a new folder named mods
and install into there
then go to applications>battlefield 2142>show package contents>contents>resources>battlefield 2142>show package contents>contents>resources>transgaming>c_drive>program files>Electronic Arts>Battlefield 2142>Mods>bf2142>
this is where the files shoud be controlling all the games info such as levels and weapons
go through each level that hasnt been unlocked under the folder Levels and replace with the ones that u installed into new folder
also delete the archive file in the folders
next go to objects in the file that u installed into new folder and copy them into the objects folder in the game files and replace
i think thats how i did it

This is what you do:
Open up the game... wheather it works or not. For me, the game opens and then it fails... but if you look at the dock, there will be two of the game icons there. Right click on one of them (on the dock) and click SHOW IN FINDER. Then the ALTERNATE folder will come up with two of the Battlefield icons and the other folders you need. NOW, you right click on the Battlefield icons and click, SHOW PACKAGE CONTENTS. ANother window will pop up that has a folder that says CONTENTS.
My problem is that when I try to copy the two .exe files in the the battlefield folder, it says the folder can't be modified. How the hell do I do this? Someone help!

I am running into the same problem as mundi19 and am trying to figure it out. Here's what our problem is...
The game runs, the whole intro and everything is perfect and then it takes us to the login page, username and password slot empty. Player doesnt work and say cannot be found locally.
The internet isn't plugged in, the problem is just that in user-library-prefences- the folder we need that everyone is talking about isnt there... the game shoud have created this. I read above we need to run the game once then it will show but it hasnt.
Anyone know how to make this folder?
Hook us up. were just gamers at a brick wall, HELP!

There are 2 libraries and also the folder, when it is there wont show up on spotlight.
when you open your hard drive off the desktop the library you can see is NOT the right one.
Instead go down to your user with the House icon and click that.
A bunch of folders open and Library is one of the,
This IS THE RIGHT LIBRARY
As long as youve tried to open it within this library will be a DIFFERENT PREFERENCES with the folder and path you need.
Then just replace the Profiles folder, cut the internet and your good to go!!
