Tried a dvd 5 version from another source (**********) but the prob is with a dvd5 is that in order to fit the dvd some of the music files are missing.
If you dont mind download it, otherwise use a dvd9 version

Does anyone know if this works on a PAL wii with firmware version 3.3E and a D2PRO9 v2 modchip with 1.1 firmware??? I have already downloaded and burned the Wii-Leet PAL 4.5GB version and the Torrentmass NTSC-PAL 4.5GB version and both of those DO NOT work - it just shows a black screen with the message "An error has occurred. Please refer to operations manual." Burned at 4x.
Anyone any ideas???

folks you must burn all wii dvd's no faster than 2x or 2.4x... ive always used "imgburn" to burn wii dvds and have no probs at all. the other thing is to make sure you update your modcip firmware regulary.. i have a wiikey and download ESPALWii com stuff and dont have any probs.... hope this helps..

1) What is a DVD9?
2) What is PAL or NTSC?
3) Is it MANDATORY to use DVD DUAL LAYER DISCS 8.5gb to download WII games?
4) What is a WiiKey?
5) What's D2c?
6) if i get a blank DVD do i get the rewritable version or non-rewritable?

PAL or NTSC is the version of the wii, pal is for european ntsc for american wii's
NO not mandatory most games are 4.13 gb smash brothers is on dual layer because i guess lots of stuff on the game
Wii key and d2c is a name for the mod chips that can be placed into the wii in order to play downloaded games.
buy dvd+r's...to burn all of espal games .. most works for me !!!

i have D2ckey..NO of course not u fink they would allow you to download and copy games lol there are many sorts of chips..wii key...d2ckey...Argon or something like that...just research online dude

The wiikey and D2C key are chips. They aren't in your wii from the factory. You have to buy the chip separately and have someone install it into your wii.
The downloaded games will NOT work in a standard wii.
There are a few brands of chips available, and it is MANDATORY to have one installed to get these downloaded games to work....
I think you need to do some more research online....

i just went to the computer fair and saw a guy there modding wii's. He used the d2ckeys so yeah. wii key 2ckey whatever you want you use. entirely up to you .
BTW this game dosnt work for me................
any1 help??
i used verbatim dvd+r burned at 2.4x speed using img burn...

I'm experiencing some problems as well.
I haven't had any disks that couldn't be read before (apart form some minor read error stuff)
Here's the setup:
Pal Wii, v3.3E
Wiikey 1.9S
Disks: Taydo Yuden and TDK, burnt both at low and high speed.
If i insert the disk it goes to a black error screen and it tells me to eject the disk?
This can't be the DL reading problem because this version is DVD5?
Any ideas?

The dvd5 doesn't work on the 3.3(E) version wii's. Because Nintendo blocked the function dvd's still work without the update on the disk.
SSBB dvd5 doesn't include an update like it is supposed to have with the original game. On the dvd9 the update is still there so it won't notice anything abnormal and the game starts up.
Only solution is to download the dvd9 and burn it on a dual layer (Verbatim +R dvd is recomended) 2,4x speed, change the layerbreak to 2084960.
Older wii versions like 3.2E or 3.1E etc. work with dvd5 but 3.3E or higher (in the future) will not work.

Hello, I seem to be having a problem with the ESPALWII iso's I download. I get them down, and get them unrared, so I have a file called "GameName(compressed).iso" (mostly) - I try to open this iso with winrar to check the contents, but get "The archive is either in unknown format or damaged". Try to mount it and can't access the virtual drive. So I burn it, at 2x, with ImgBurn. Check the dvd in the drive after, and it seems like there is nothing on the disk (but the disk is finalized, so can't use it again, not a rw disk). Pop the disk into the wii to try, "Unable To Read Disk" (yes the wii is chipped )
Am I doing something wrong? On Vista64bit if it matters somehow.

Dont after you uncompress burn it you dont need to open just burn at a slow speed and it will work I have got more than 20 from ESPALWII and my only problem was there bratz game ant english so there the best.

Hello everyone. I have one problem I can't seem to solve: I have got enough space in my hard drive but when I start this torrent I get an error message saying there is not enough free space, and the same happens with Umbrella Chronicles, Paper Mario and Game Party. I checked that there is enough space and I have started other torrents of 20 GB... Someone could help me? I would really appreciate it.

FOR THOSE WITH BLACK SCREEN PROBLEM...
Ok i was disappointed when i got a black screen when i inserted the game and after that decided to go to all the forums i could on the net to find a solution.
after following all their instructions it ****** me off to find that none of them seemed to work and also made me waste 3 DL DVD's hearing that setting the layer break fixes it but it doesn't.
So here's what i discovered while trying to figure things out on my own...
first let's start with my details.
- wii PAL v3.2e
- SSBB PAL (DL version) should make a difference if its dvd5 or dvd9
- wiikey v1.9s

the reason why you get a black screen is because wii key blocks the disc update whih is why you crash at the moment of loading the disc...
now what i did was i used wiikey config disc and deactivate the update block so it allows updates. now i know what you guys are thinking but i'm not gonna connect the wii online and risk bricking the wii. so i have my router lock the wii's access to the net or if thas too hard for you simply turn off or unplug you internet modem. that why wii can't connect online...

now final step put in the game disc and press update... the game will update from somewhere, i've got no idea where and you should be able to play the game from there...
EXTRAS: i also found out that the original iso (unmodified) freezes the game at opening video and you get an error message, used brickblocker to fix it. this sadly doesn't remove the update but some strange reason it fixes the game freeze at opening video. hope this helps people who were disappointed to find out they couldn't play the game and the forums didn't help...

1. Download DL version and extract with winrar
2. Download free program called imgburn
3. You need a dual layer DVD burner and verbatim dual layer DVDs (verbatim are the most expensive but they WORK! the others dont!)
4. Open the iso in imgburn
5. Go to Tools - Settings - Write - Layer Break and click User Specified. enter 2084960
6. Burn at 2.4x speed recommended. I did mine at 4x but it still worked so yeah I dunno.

I have D2PRO latest version and firmware.
And yes, I have used img-burn

I have got this working on the 3.3 update on my PAL Wii.
You need to use the "new" twilight hack and install the homebrew channel.
Then run GeckoOS from the homebrew channel and run the game from there, this blocks the protection and stops the black screen error.
